Happy New Year! ! !
On this the last day of December 2009,
moment to reflect
and prepare
Valentine's Day ♥.
Yeah, I'm as bad as the dept. store.
At least, I didn't do it Christmas Eve.
I did have some restraint.

A little LOVE U rocking on the porch -- fabric by Deb Strain.

Love U isn't really Valentine's Day, just the title is.

Sent With Love is also by Deb Strain. She's a busy gal.

and L'amour by Sandy Gervais

L'amour, L'amour, L'amour
Fun little kit to make. Quick & easy.

Today's giveaway is a charm pack of your choice --

LOVE U, L'amour or Sent With Love.

Leave a comment about what makes the world go round.

Random drawing later tonight, while we're waiting for the sparkley ball to drop.

Schnibblers, I'll see you tomorrow!

Day After After Christmas

Getting back to life.
Des, Greg & Marsha came on Christmas.
They just left, so now I need to
aclean up,
a peer in the fridge
and figure out what day of the week it is.
It was a fun few days -- so glad they came.
Should have taken more pictures.
Here are the non-sewing highlights.
Des thought we girls needed some bonding.
So we called our local beauty college -- Razzle Dazzle. I didn't make that up.
They Razzle Dazzled us.
Then the highly anticipated Dreamy Rema Magic Show.
Entertaining & well done.
It snowed last night, good for the kids.
But not good if you're driving home in it. Luckily, the sun is shining.
Des, call when you get home.
She had just drove away -- usually I'm a little melancholy.
But here's what greeted me smack in the face.
Big Bird.
Santa, I don't think the rubber stamps were a good idea.
Harry was more than happy to show me his works of art -- all over the house.
Shadowman's been bugging me for days to eat this.
Sure, go ahead, knock yourself out.
I would like
a big cup of cocoa and a nap.

Blue Green Mood

Visiting Corrie Dawn for the holidays
and playing with lots of fabrics.
Working on a few special projects.

It's almost January.
We've moved past all the red and green.
I'm in a Blue Green kind of mood.
How about you?

Just wanted to let you get your hands
on this fabric if you're looking
for some great little boy fabrics.
A nice variety of blues, greens and browns
and we also made a little
assortment for tiny projects.
I'm working on this cute little wonky quilt,
I'll keep you posted when I finish.

Corrie and I are being so productive right now,
we hardly know what to do with ourselves.
Must. Get. Back. To. Work.

Christmas Eve Giveaway Over

Update: Congrats to #27 ~ Sue. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Now it's time to hit the treadmill -- well, maybe in a couple of days.
Twas the Night Before Christmas

and all through the shop,

we are humming,

we are wrapping

and licking lollipops.
(hey, it's hard to find a word that rhymes with taffy)
Today's giveaway is a Christmas surprise.
Hint: I think it's a turnover & a charm pack.
Merry Christmas Eve to you

Sweet Liberty & Friends ~ New Schnibbles

Delivery Man brought some holiday treats.

These look fun to make.

Hot off the press -- another Tuffets pattern

I would like to make a new pincushion. Mine burst.

Got tossed around too much, I think. When you stuff them with crushed walnut shells, they are squishy & perfect for throwing. Preferably without pins.

Schnibble away.

It's Never to Late to Start

Deadlines. I don't like deadlines.
That's why if I don't start a Christmas project by July, I just don't even go there.

But I have a sweet, sweet friend that doesn't think like that at all. The week of Christmas is the perfect time to make a quilt or a puppet stage or make a lot of other gifts.
Actually it works out really well, because I don't have any projects to finish, because I didn't start any! :-) So sure, let's sew.
We whipped up these Sweet Sixteen table toppers for her mom & mother-in-law (I need to press them a little more). Love this pattern. It's fast.
Love the pattern so much, I made two.

Plus I do have a 'thing' for little squares.

You too can make some, there are kits in the store.
The kits feature Moda's new line -- Civil War Homefront.

Met the deadline with 4 days to spare....ahhhhh.

Heads Up!

I'm not out Christmas shopping.....yet.
Playing with my webcam.
Just a few of the lovely homemade hats for this year.
Last year it was all about our hands.
This year it's all about our heads!

I shall now brave the mall.
