Roundabout -- A Year of Schnibbles Quilt KIT

This month's featured Schnibble pattern is Roundabout.

Des & I both took a shot at it.

Here's mine made from Moda's Bar Harbor fabric.

It's a clever little block, that Carrie (aka Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.)

shows you how to put it together.

Our Bar Harbor kit includes 2 charm packs, Roundabout pattern, background fabric and navy floral binding (the binding will be sent separately within the week, it's on the way.)

$28.50 + $5 U.S. shipping -- click to order KIT

Here's Des', she used a blue, aqua, green mix of fabrics from a lot of designers & fabrics -- daisy chain, bijoux, darla, farmer's market, dance with me, bubblegum basics, simply sweet, american retro, freshcut and more. Thanks for making it!

I know...the colors are a little off. It's a tricky one to photograph -- the colors are softer & prettier than what they show (next picture is a little better). The Blue Green kit includes a charm pack of (set of 70, 2 squares of 35 different fabrics), Roundabout pattern, background polka dot fabric and green check binding.

KIT

Carrie talks in many of her patterns about the Angler for sewing diagonal lines.

She recommends it for the Roundabout.

If you'd just like the pattern it's available here, on etsy or eBay as well (the kits are there also).

Contact me with any questions or if you'd like help with a custom kit. There's a lots of options.

This was a great little quilt & block.

I'd like to make it again!

Nicey Jane Giveaway Over

Update: Congrats to #83 Leigh!
I was tempted to pick Deborah, she's from Glendora, CA
-- we lived there, best house & pool ever! But I let the random generator pick.
A friend from high school called today, unexpectedly. So nice to talk to her.
Reminded me of being a teenager in our windy hometown of Burley, ID. I've been in a good mood all day.

She's been hanging around here lately.

Chose a later arrival date so that we'd get it all at once.

She's available in fat quarters,

5", 8" and 10" inch charm square packs,

jelly rolls and

yardage.

"The collection tells the story of small-town girl, Nicey Jane. Nicey heads to the city on Friday nights to swing dance with her beau -- but not before hanging the laundry to dry & enjoying an afternoon picnic on the farm. The prints are named for Nicey's story: Hello Roses, Hop Dot, Swing Toss, Wash-Day Ticking, Welcome Road, Picnic Bouquet, Slim Dandy, Dream Dot, Church Flowers, Pocketbook, and Lindy Leaf." -- heather bailey

My daughter whipped up a quick tote for school.

I was surprised how pretty

small pieces of it are in this tote and in the little jelly roll.

Gorgeous.

I'd like to redo my bedroom in all of it.
My husband doesn't mind florals or pink.
At least I don't think he does....
I'm not going to ask.

Today's giveaway will be 2 half yards of your choice.
Random drawing later tonight.

To be entered, leave a comment about your hometown.

Happy Valentine's Day

Oh Mr. Darcy, you shouldn't have!
But as long as you did, I love it!
des, thanks for sharing.

This little tradition has been around for over 10 years.

I need to find one for Harry.
If you see one of these, please let me know. I'd love another one.
His Spiderman heart just isn't the same.
Have a lovely weekend.
Are you off work tomorrow? Kids home?

In the Holiday Spirit

Well, there's no time like Valentines to talk about the holidays :-).

Christmas is coming early this year!

Moda is releasing a limited amount of the Christmas
pre-cuts (charm squares, jelly rolls, layer cakes, fat quarter bundles) this month!

We can all get a taste of what's coming!

Fruitcake, anyone?

I'm expecting it around the end of the month...we'll see.

We'll also be getting Riley Blake's Christmas line, Colorful Christmas (but not in February). Here's a peek.

and

Sheri Berry's - 12 Joys of Christmas.

Let me know what you think of this one.

I so want to be better prepared for the holidays this year.
In fact, Des & I started on a few projects the day after Christmas.

Now, we need to talk Halloween.

There are some great lines coming,

but

'She had me at hello.'
This is the Ghastlies from Alexander Henry.

Another glimpse at the main print, different background.

Can't wait!
