Exploring My Options

I am thinking about Halloween tonight...
There are Boo to You charm squares everywhere.
Awfully cute! Would make a fun tablerunner and treat bags.
~

Just read all of Moda Bakeshop,

because I remembered this pattern.

I want a pattern that showcases my new obsession (the Ghastlies)....

you know, I thought I liked the grey, but I'm really liking the orange (just arrived).

This is Des' big print party pattern -- it might be just the one.

I've been hoarding a little Alexander Henry Halloween.

But I don't think they go with my new love...

What to do, what to do??

Do you know of a pattern that really shows-off a main fabric?

Bound and....

...gagged.
You thought I was going to say Determined!
I was.
Until I thought of gagged.
I've always wanted to say gagged on my blog.
My work is done here, people.
I love a finished quilt.

May you be bound and determined.
Not gagged.

Corrie gave me the Crafty girl photo
I love it!

And I'm actually excited about it.

Fruitcake's full of snowmen, ornaments and holly.
A fun, festive line from basicgrey.
Coordinates great with last year's Figgy Pudding.

We've got charms, fat quarters, jelly rolls and layer cakes.
Today's giveaway is for 4 Fruitcake fat quarters.
This fruitcake won't weigh you down.

Unbound

Spent the day machine quilting.
My triangle wonky is for a new high school graduate.

Inspired by the lattice quilt from Oh Fransson.

I hope it makes her life Sunny!
Just like the fabric says.

All flannel backing.
Red Dot
Multi-colored dot
Retro Jetsons

I quilted it in a big meandering worm,
as we like to call it.

Next, Crazy Nine Patch from Oh Fransson!

Made it with MoMo layer cakes.
Backed in Riley Blake Cars
and an aqua stripe

I just did kind of crazy horizontal and vertical stripes.
I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

Last, but certainly not least Corrie's daughter, Lizzie
has caught the dresden plate bug.

Let's all catch it.
She did a great job on it.
It's quite fun out of the Rainy Days and Monday.

Looks like I'll be binding all week.
Jealous?

Seasonally Challenged

I was raised on Campbell's Tomato Soup.
Who knew you could actually make your own tomato soup?
Not me.
But I do now!

I know.... it's not even tomato season.
I went and bought 3 pounds of tomatoes
today because my mouth was watering for
Homemade Roasted Tomato Soup.
Rainy Weather helps the mood.

I can't even imagine how much better this will be with homegrown tomatoes.
Are you with me?

Are you dreaming of rows of tomato plants?
And look at that big puppy of a garlic clove!
GARlicious!!

Can we just have a moment of silence for these colors?
Red, Red, Red
and then BAM!
Orange!

I'm a dunker of grilled cheese in my tomato soup.
Are you?

Destined to be a Purse

Bella made a skirt a little while ago &
it didn't go so well.

So we offered it up for someone to 'repurpose' it
and CJ volunteered. Here is the before -- a little mishap with the serger.

And after....

Cheryl used The Chemisette Handbag pattern by Craft Apple.

We have some patterns coming, if you'd like to make one, email me.

Very nice, CJ! Enjoy!

Glad you could do something with it.

We'd still be unpicking

(or more like, pushing it around the sewing room.)
