So of course, I went for Nutella and a crocheted hanger.

Yeah, me neither.  

But I LOVE a crocheted hanger.

Leela had been collecting classic paperback books at thrift stores. 

She covered them in fabric.  
Now my favorite Pride and Predjudice
sits so prettily on my shelf!

Leela and Natty Bat were also giving out rice bags.  

Super comfortable!

Stitchy wins the overachiever award this year.  

How uber cute are these little dresses?  

Clothes pin holders!!!  
Mine's hanging with pride in my sewing room!

Love, love these!

Karebear always finds something cute 
to make and then fills it up with 
all sorts of Karebear goodies. 

Bets was on a Wizard of Oz kick this year.  

Does a witch and green monkeys bring you comfort?

It does for Bets! 

Can we ever have too many bags filled with goodies??

Not with our LOVE!!

Shelto loves to make bread. 

Carbs bring me comfort.  Too much!

She gave us her favorite bread pan and 2 cute towels. 

And finally, socks.  

We've fought over socks in the past. 

Thankfully, this time, Judy had a 
pair of fleece socks for each of us. 

She makes them!  
And they are the dang warmest things ever!!

I missed this Thursday, I was busy being the
videographer for Des' son's homecoming.
I was all prepared to cry,

but was too intent on recording.
Thought I would mess the camera up.
You know, forget to hit RECORD or something.
But I got it.
It was a great day;
I'm so glad we could be there to share it.

Today at 5:47 pm......

.....my son arrives home.

At 5:47 I'll have my arms around him.

At 5:47 I'll hear his voice.

At 5:47 I'll tell him how much I love him.

At 5:47 I'll thank him again for serving.

I received a phone call this week from a lovely gentleman in California who told me, "I don't know what your son was like before he left, but he's coming home 'the whole package'.

I loved the young teen that left and I look forward to the young man who is returning.  

I don't think I can adequately express what this two years has meant to our son and our family.

I do know that I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.  

At 5:47 my heart will feel whole again.
