I Stimulated The Economy

I did my duty to God and my country. I am a Scout. While Corrie was up to obvious hilarity that took all of 3 minutes, (I mean where is the poem about how special I am?? All that I mean to you and yours?? How your life is enriched because I am your sister....*insert violins*)
my family and I hit Island Park, Idaho and West Yellowstone, Montana.

We pretended we were tourists. We've been there umpteen times and I've never ever bought a sweatshirt, magnet or snow globe. I did this time! I even have my 'elk' Christmas Ornament for 2008. If that doesn't say Yellowstone, I don't know what does!

Bought VERY overpriced frozen fish. Pass the tabasco.

O-K-L-A-H-O-M-A at the Playmill is NOT to be missed. I really wanted to be Ado Annie.
I love her. Now, THAT'S hilarity.

Paid $5 something for a peanut buster parfait. I always forget they never taste as good as when I was skipping Sunday School to get one. DQ was right across the street from my church.

We don't own a boat, so they had to take to just diving in. Can you say "Belly Flop"? Can you say, "We're the only dorks here that don't even have an inner tube??" Can you say "Please don't let the cool jet skiers run over you??"

This nature moment brought to you by Ma Bell.

You gotta love a good disguise.

Scenic Mesa Falls.

Three Ends.

The End.

  2. I just loved seeing pictures of you and your family. I am fairly new to your blog, so this gives me a face to put with your name! I love Yellowstone--I have only been there once, when my son (a dog musher) was working in Wyoming. He's now in Alaska, so Iditarod here we come!

  5. What a nice birthday get-away you had! I would have had trouble deciding between Oklahoma and Hello Dolly! They BOTH would have been fun. Love your commentary, as always.

  7. Island Park is one of my all time favorite places. I wouldn't have even needed to read that is where you were - I'd have known it. We have friends with a cabin right on the water. More fun than a person should be allowed to have!!! I'm so jealous. We don't live by the friends with the cabin anymore - so we don't get invited. But it is a good memory. We have great pictures of mesa falls and that bridge, too.

And skipping SS to go to DQ? Bad bad. I used to skip and go to Walgreens for candy. So I'm a sinner too, well reformed now!

I did a tiny bit of stimulation last week myself. I'll be posting a purchases sheepish post this week sometime I guess. But hey I've done better than I normally would have done.

Glad you had fun. It all looks like a blast.
