Purse Wonderland

Hurray, it's here!

Yesterday, Bella wanted a purse out of the Wonderland twill cotton -- she didn't want to use interfacing. Bella draws out a pattern & cuts it out. Yes, it does look remarkably like another purse she has, but that was the whole idea.

"Maybe I can take it with me in the morning?"

Okay, you should never say that to me. I don't work on deadlines. I say, "I wouldn't count on it. Just do what you can do."

But she gets it done. And she used it this morning. It was a pretty quick project. I'm sure there's a pattern on the internet somewhere for one, but we're impatient.

Reversible. Of course it needs to be reversible. Hmmmm....did I have anything I needed to do tonight? I'm a sewing consultant.

She loves the mushrooms & the rabbit.

Her pattern has just one kink we need to work out --- the strap & the part where it meets the purse are the same size, but I forgot that she'd have to turn that under, so they weren't the same size anymore. I suggested making a new strap, but she was fine with it.

She even made little ties to close it.

I think she's happy, just can't decide which side she likes best.

I wonder what we should giveaway tomorrow??
