Think Spring Giveaway Over

Update: Congrats to #149 Catskill Quilter!!

You're the winner!

Tulips are up!

Trees are blooming with pretty pink flowers.

And birds are singing. Use your imagination.

I'm not chasing down a bird for a picture...why?

Because it's freezing!

It's not feeling like Eastertime here.

So our giveaway today is for one of our
spring-ish charm packs!

To enter the drawing,
answer this question....
Do you sew seasonally?

ie. in spring, do you sew spring items
or are you already working on

Halloween and Christmas?

We're hoping for sun.
We better go in,

little Hoopla is getting cold
in the wind.

Random drawing later tonight.

  1. I do sew seasonally. I just love the color changes and I tend to just sew with the mood outside! I am supposed to be working on a Christmas project and it is so hard to do this time of year!

  2. I think I BUY seasonally, but the sewing itself is a bit more random! Thanks for the giveaway :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. I sew seasonally too, for me its too weird to work on christmas things, when there is so much sunshine arround

    Hugs

  4. I sew seasonally ... now for example I 'm going to do a quilt with fresh colours ... but I like to prepare Christmas ornaments too ... in this spring ^__^

  5. Beautiful fabrics. And yes, I do sew seasonally.

lovely fabrics. Should I be lucky enough to win I'd like to donate these to a quilty basket that Thearica (Pigtales & Quilts www.pigtalesandquilts.com) is putting together, along with quilt donations, for a raffle fundraiser to benefit Ronald McDonald Houses.

  6. You have some of the best giveaways, Corrie! Those spring charm packs are so cheerful. I don't have seasons, I'm happy if I finish anything at any time of the year!

    ReplyDelete
  7. I start projects seasonally - I generally finish them whenever I feel guilty about how many there are! :) Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  8. I don't sew seasonally. I do hope your weather warms up soon. Spring is one of the best times of the year.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I don't think I sew seasonally. I have trouble keeping up or staying ahead and being prepared for the next season.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yes I sew seasonally, I can start doing Christmas things towards the end of the year when its cold but when the sun is shining and its hot hot hot I find it difficult to think about snowmen and Father Christmas... Thanks for the giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I don't sew seasonally at all, mostly I just follow my whims! Right now I've got a Halloween quilt in progress, and a Christmas quilt waiting in the wings to be started. Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm always sew seasonally. Thank you!!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hmmm... I guess I am a seasonal sewer. I tried to do a "fall" table runner the other day... had to abandon it. I just didn't 'feel it'. KWIM? I do live in the desert though in the Middle East. We have two seasons, hot and hotter.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Well, sometimes I sew seasonally, like at the moment (I sew two table runners in Verna as easter presents for my and his parents). But sometimes I just sew what comes in my mind or if I see something what gives me inspiration and I have the supplies at home.
    Thanks for the great giveaway!

  15. I sew kinda randomly and I'm certainly not sewing for Christmas yet! though the speed I work I probably should be!
Here in the UK the sun is shining and we have a royal wedding to look forward to next week

    ReplyDelete
  16. The only season I really sew for is Christmas. Though last year I made a little Easter bunny and some fabric carrots, but that was a one-off!

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't sew seasonally. It´s always something different :-) Greetings from Slovakia :-)

    ReplyDelete
  18. heck no - if only I was that organised ;)

Hope it warms up for you!!!!! Brrr. Frozen eggs.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I *try* to stitch seasonally, but I am always running late (hence my blog name- A Stitching Frenzy cos I'm always madly stitching in order to finish).

Right now, I'm working on my Easter table runner...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Definitely NOT...I usually make stuff for people's birthdays or baby showers items but I did sew a whole slew of little bags for xmas presents last year...but I really don't seasonally, i.e. spring-y stuff and what not...but I wouldn't mind a lil spring charm pack lovin' :-)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I sew randomly..........whatever takes my fancy!!!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I don't sew seasonally but there is no way I am already sewing something for christmas! I do try every year to get my christmas presents done in summer but the motivation just isn't as much as two days before christmas :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. I try to sew out of season but never seems to work out that way. I CRAVE spring, and sewing spring!

    ReplyDelete
  24. That's such a good question! And something I tend to think a lot, because now, all sewy blogs are full of eggs and bunnies... What if I don't feel like eggs and bunnies right now? And why should I care about pumpkins and bats when october comes? I don't like sewing seasonally. For me, it can be spring in winter and winter in summer and fall in spring. I just let myself be carried away by colors and moods.

  25. I don't sew seasonally. I just sew whatever I feel like, and don't like to box myself into the seasons. Thanks! :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I would have said no, but I think that I tend to get inspired by what I see around me, so I suppose I do.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I sew seasonally. I just can't be working on fall or winter things when I am looking forward to spring and summer!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I sew random, fly by the seat of my pants!
Thank you for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  29. I do often sew seasonally, usually because some seasonal project caught my eye. Of course, then I'm usually scrambling to get it finished in time to enjoy before the season ends. :)

    ReplyDelete
  30. I can't keep up with the seasons I'm just happy to sew and get something finished. First time entering your giveaway thanks for the chance. Fingers crossed. Hello from Australia.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't sew seasonally. I just work on whatever I am working on now.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't think I sew seasonally but all the spring colours are making me want to get hold of them and make something!
    Thanks for the giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I am definitely a seasonal sewer. I try to sew some things for Christmas early, but that rarely happens. I always end up playing with the holiday fabrics of the current month.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I don't sew seasonally. The only thing would be to start gifts for Christmas, which would be smaller projects, like mug rugs, etc. I do love the idea of making one Christmas thing a month, but so far that hasn't happened!

    ReplyDelete
  35. I mostly sew seasonally. I have to much on my list to sew ahead. (Although, I am working with some Flurry right now for a tutorial, but besides that, I tend to stick to the season :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. No, I am a fly by nighter, what every flies by my eyes and I take a fancy to it.....that is how I sew.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I was just thinking this very thing when I just ran across a blog who was spending Friday Night Sew In on a Halloween project. The photo tossed me for a loop so I guess I do sew seasonally.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I do not sew seasonally. If I find a pattern that I think will work with some fabric in my stash, I make it. This year, I made a Halloween quilt in Febuary. LOL

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yes I sew seasonaly like I change quilt on the wall seasonaly !!!
But I never finish at time :(

    ReplyDelete
  40. I try to sew seasonally...I have good intentions. =) I am usually making gifts for the Christmas season. =) Thank you for a lovely giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Honestly, I try to sew for Christmas early...but end up in a rush sewing like a crazy lady for the 2 weeks before Christmas! And then have half finished projects I am not really interested in doing in January!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I don't sew seasonally too much except for a few items as Christmas gets closer. Thanks for the chance!

    ReplyDelete
  43. I buy with intentions to sew seasonally but the actual sewing really takes place at any time. I'm always happy when I get the bug to sew that I've always got something ready to go!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Yes I do sew seasonally. Loving the spring colors right now.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I always start January off with a project using Spring colors. Helps with all the winter whiteness!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I;m not a seasonal quilter-- my fits and starts have to do with projects I am inspired by after seeing what others are doing, seeing a line of fabrics or sometimes photographs, but not seasonal.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I am not a seasonal quilter. I quilt items for a holiday or season whenever I am in the mood too :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. I sew seasonally but sometimes my projects will be finished in the season next year. Greetings from a very summery spring in Germany. Inka

    ReplyDelete
  49. Do I sew seasonally? Well, I certainly try but sometimes do not get quite done in time. For instance, I just finished quilting and binding my wonky star/house Christmas quilt this week and am quilting a 3 Wise Men Adoration wallhanging. they'll be ready for this season! I did pretty well with my table runners but still outstanding is June and December.

ie. in spring, do you sew spring items
or are you already working on

    Halloween and Christmas?

    ReplyDelete
  50. I am full of seasonal ideas but do not get to them in time for that season. I always say I have to finish a UFO first. My attempt at discipline.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I do sew some seasonally, but usually don't get in the mood to make a seasonal item until right at the season so it doesn't get done in time to use it that year. But I may drag it out later and finish and be able to use it the next year.
Those spring fabrics look very inviting.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I choose my sewing projects more by what I need to finish or what I feel like doing.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I sew randomly! I like to create by the seat of my pants!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I sew whatever inspires me at the moment. It will all be used eventually!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I sew what I like when I like and then rush if it is a seasonal project. I'm so loving spring right now I could use these charm paks! Thanks for the chance!

  56. I do have that in mind with good intentions, but it doesn't always work out. I am much too random a person to stick with a theme and still after all these years think I can get so much done in a short period of time (not!) Plus, sewing is my outlet, my creative fun..I don't want to be tied down. (Here I am justifying not getting everything done again)

    ReplyDelete
  57. The only time I sew seasonally is at Christmas. Pillows, wall hangings, gift items and such. The rest of the year, I just sort of go with the flow and choose whatever suits my fancy for fabric. Thanks for the giveaway!!!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I guess at Christmas time I sew seasonally, but other than that I just randomly sew!

    ReplyDelete
  59. Hmmm....I guess I never really thought about it. Sometimes I DO sew seasonally, but then sometimes I just sew what screams at me the loudest. LOL I can say that at Christmas, I usually have something Christmassy going. It's my favoritest (is that a word?) holiday, so I'm always working on something for that. Great giveaway! I wish I could send you some of our Texas heat and dry weather. If I could only bottle it.....

    ReplyDelete
  60. I don't really sew just for the season. I do make a monthly mini quilt for a little hanger in my entryway but other than that I just sew what I feel like.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Burr....I am with you!
I like to sew for what I've got coming up!
Right now...? Easter-spring should find me working "spring-ish" colors...ha! I am awaiting spring yet with open arms & I am in a fall colored quilt project!
Thank You for the sweet give-away!
    Blessings~

  62. I sew seasonally, sometimes to far into the season to enjoy it that year (like clothes). I love the change of seasons and live in a place with four distinct seasons (not counting mud season).

    ReplyDelete
  63. i do get inspired by spring and summer during the late stages of winter and start a fun spring/summer quilt, but i must admit that i'm yet to finish one of them... sad i know!

    ReplyDelete
  64. Generally, I don't sew seasonally, but this year I started making mini doll quilts - one for each month in the year. It is a great way to practice lots of different techniques and keep my home deco up to date!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Yes I do! I do not buy seasonally but I do sew seasonally and none seasonally! Bahahaha! Maybe I am working on 5 quilts at a time and have at least that many lined up. I make the quilt tops and then don't do anything with them because I don't know how to machine quilt. Bahahaha! Maybe I should find a class. But I haven't even found a good quilt store yet after moving. Rambling! Bahahahahaha!

    ReplyDelete
  66. This is not the norm for me, but I just finished TWO Christmas projects! I've never done this before in April.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I haven't been sewing long enough to let the seasons influence my sewing. I just try to get my projects done in the limited time I have :)

    ReplyDelete
  68. I'm happy to find the time to sew - and I'll sew any color at any time! Although I could probably sew with fall colors year-round!

    ReplyDelete
  69. I'm sewing seasonally,I just ordered the fresh bloosoms last week. I'm loving all the color. Now I'm really wishing that it would warm up a bit, so that the outside of my yard could look like my fabric. It is suppose to be spring, right?

    ReplyDelete
  70. A yes and a no...some projects are seasonal especially for Christmas but usually I sew with whatever fabric I really love or that fits the project I'm sewing! Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  71. The colors around me certainly influence my buying and sewing habits as the months fly by!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Happy Spring! I'm working on a Christmas quilt and spring quilt.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Last year I started sewing and thought one should sew seasonally... but then I realized that starting christmas projects and presents in oct/nov makes for a VERY rushed christmas where I am still sewing at midnight christmas even and did not get any of my own projects done. - so this year I am going to be working on Fall/Winter projects in the summer :)

    ReplyDelete
  74. I can't say I sew seasonally. I work on all projects, Christmas included, throughout the year regardless if it's spring, summer or winter! I buy fabric as it comes out so that probably influences what I sew more than anything! Thank you for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  75. I don't so seasonally. I just sew what inspires me...no matter what the season!

    ReplyDelete
  76. My intentions are to sew seasonally but it usually ends up being a finished project the next year....I'm always behind....at least 80% of the time...thanks for the chance to win....(o:

    ReplyDelete
  77. I do seasonal just for the flavor of the moment, but in having a shop you always are working ahead into the next season or two.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I don't normally sew seasonally, well except for Fall, and yes for Christmas. But other then that, I just sew............

    ReplyDelete
  79. I sew seasonally and usually always under pressure of a deadline. thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Usually I start sewing seasonally right after the season is over. For some reason I don't think about it or don't have time. At least then it is ready for the next year.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I sew for every season and especially for gifts!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Thought i was going to have to move closer to you with those pictures you had up!!! It's freezing here too...just hoping for no snow for the easter egg hunt on sat!!! lol
I don't sew seasonally...i just get done what i have to when i have time. I look at all the cute seasonal stuff, but with 2 boys it's just one more thing to have time/remember to put out & have the time to pack away.
    dmifflin@netrover.com

    ReplyDelete
  83. I LOVE THE PICTURES! Very springy!

    Oh, I don't sew seasonally.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Good question!! I usually sew gifts for occasions like birthdays and Christmas. It just seems that there is a reason to sew something... and also a reason to need more fabric!1 Thanks for this sweet giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  85. I've never really thought about it. I sew whatever makes me happy at the time. Sometimes I sew for the occasion, baby, wedding... Great giveawway! Thanks ;>

    ReplyDelete
  86. If you hadn't said it was freezing, I would believe that you were enjoying delightful spring conditions.

No, I am not a seasonal quilter. Perhaps it is because we don't have definite seasons here.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I am not a seasonal quilter.....I just like to sew and create all year long.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Well, I just finished piecing a winter/Christmas quilt top, so I guess I don't sew seasonally. I make whatever stirkes my fancy, sometimes for the season, sometimes not!

    ReplyDelete
  89. Sort of, I'm usually starting way too late to finish the project in time for the season.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I aspire to sew ahead of season, but it never seems to work out that way. I sew mostly clothing for my young daughters, so I'm always playing catchup - one of these days I'll be doing a Christmas quilt in July!

    ReplyDelete
  91. I DO do some seasonal sewing but in reality it usually doesn't work out so simple as that. For instance I made a Halloween quilt, started in Sept and finished it in Jan. Same thing with a Christmas quilt, started in July maybe and finished it in March. My intentions are spot on but my delivery is off by a mile. :)

    Happy Spring to you!

    ReplyDelete
  92. sometimes I'm seasonal ... when I see something I find really wonderful! otherwise I am usually sewing on one of my many random projects ... thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  93. I'm a new enough quilter that I don't have any sewing seasonally history but I like the idea of it! :) I have been itchin' to sew a Christmas tree skirt and if I can finish the projects I'm working on maybe I can get it done before Christmas! (thanks for the reminder!)

    ReplyDelete
  94. I am always so far behind, there is no way I would be caught up and working on Christmas now. I just need to not buy any fabric until I have use up all I have-- easier said then done :)

    ReplyDelete
  95. I'm a backwards seasonal sewer. LOL When it hot I think of snowmen and winter projects to cool down with. In the winter I work on florals and thinking spring, trying to wish it to come faster.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Yes, definately seasonly. I'm sewing spring/summer dresses for me & my girls! Also made new spring like tea towels!

    ReplyDelete
  97. So far, I've not been a seasonal sewer. That said, I think flowery fabric is appropriate year round! :)

    ReplyDelete
  98. Are you kidding me? Working on Christmas or Halloween now? Of course not, that would be too logical. I work on Christmas begining Dec 13th, and Halloween on Oct 29th. Not yet :-)

    ReplyDelete
  99. I tend to sew before season - I'll be working on fall stuff in the summer, for example :)

    ReplyDelete
  100. I just sew as I go, but I am a procrastinator. So it would be a rare site for me to be working on something way ahead of a season (unless I was a year or so behind)!!! lol

    ReplyDelete
  101. Depends on how you define seasons. This is "baby season" for me - I'm due July 1, and my sister is due Aug.9, so I've been in baby sewing mode for awhile now ;)

    ReplyDelete
  102. I am usually sewing frantically for the current season! I am trying to work on that and get ahead of the game. Love the peek at the flowers.

    ReplyDelete
  103. It depends on the purpose. For my etsy shop, I usually try to stay ahead of the season, so my shop is fully stocked. But for myself, I am constantly playing catch up. I'm still working on stockings and a tree skirt from last fall and finishing bed quilts for my kids' "new" rooms...started last July. It's a constant battle.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I don't sew seasonally. Thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  105. I do sew seasonally. I can't help it. How I'm feeling makes a huge difference to what I feel like sewing and the weather is a huge part of that.
    Thanks for the giveaway

    ReplyDelete
  106. I sew FAR in advance, because I want to get things ready for the fair, which is in July. So I will work on summer items in the fall, Christmas and Halloween items in January/February! The trouble is if you make Christmas items in time to use that Christmas, there's a chance they might get messed up or need laundered and then they won't do well at the fair! So I remove the temptation to USE them by crafting off season and then putting them away in the closet until the fair rolls around. Then I get to use all my new goodies throughout the next year!

    ReplyDelete
  107. Really it depends on what I am sewing. Usually I don't sew seasonally.

    ReplyDelete
  108. i would sew seasonally, if i could finish everything that needs to be done first! i have a bunch of halloween and christmas stuff that i need to do, but have deadlines for swaps that are taking precedence!

    ReplyDelete
  109. Try to, but then it gets pushed to the next season, like my Christmas tree skirt was done just in time for Valentine's day...maybe it was 2 months late OR 10 months early. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  110. I do do christmas near that time. otherwise I do what I like. lindagerig@sbcglobal.net

    ReplyDelete
  111. I haven't been sewing long enough to sew seasonally yet, but I think I'm about to - my newest project is redecorating the living room pillows from bland cream to AQUA! I'm so ready for some color, some happy sunshine, some nice weather!!!

    ReplyDelete
  112. I usually don't sew seasonal stuff because I like to look at my stuff all year long instead of just for a month or two.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I definitely sew by the seasons. It helps get me excited for that specific time of year.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I do not sew seasonally. I avoid all "holiday" themed fabrics. IF I spend all that time on a quilt or project I want to enjoy it year round

    ReplyDelete
  115. I would like to sew seasonally, but unfortunately I am always behind! I am however, working on something springy/summery right now! Miracle!

    Jo Anna

    ReplyDelete
  116. By the time I get around to sewing my Christmas projects, it is already Summer so instead of looking late, I always look like I'm ahead of the game - haha! Fooled everyone, but now my secret is out!

    ReplyDelete
  117. I sew with whatever I have. The only fabric store I can get to is Wal*Mart. Otherwise I would have to drive for an hour and I don't have the money, or time, to do both. Would LOVE to have the Halloween material I see on line, but ,once again, just use what I have.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I don't sew seasonally, I just do what I have right now and try to finish it.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I sew with fabric I love it doesn't matter what season it is!

    ReplyDelete
  120. The season doesn't matter to me. I just sew what I like at the moment. I do, however, do some Christmas sewing at that time of year.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I haven't really done seasons, I just quilt! If anything I guess I do spring, colorful quilt tops though:")

    ReplyDelete
  122. I am a seasonal sewer...but wish I could think months ahead to plan for other seasons and sew for Christmas in July...then Christmas comes and I runout of time. Thanks for reminding me to sew ahead of time.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I tend to sew what and when I want LOL

    ReplyDelete
  124. I don't sew seasonally yet. I'm still working on the basics. Right now I'm just using colors that appeal to me. Thanks for the dose of spring.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I would have to say yes I do. I am temped by the colors of the season we are in. I have not found a section of fabric that I am drawn to all the time yet so I am still experimenting with my style. LOL! That little Hoopla will need to hold down her skirt!

    ReplyDelete
  126. I do sew seasonally. I wish I could sew for the holidays ahead of time but I am not disciplined enough!

    merefleming{at}yahoo{dot}com

    ReplyDelete
  127. I sew what I feel like sewing at the time - sometimes it's halloween in July, sometimes it's light bright colors in the spring .... just seems to depend on my mood and what has "deadlines" looming!

    ReplyDelete
  128. I am currently working on 3 projects. One of the projects has a Christmas theme.

    Karen
    Boogabearw@cox.net

    ReplyDelete
  129. I don't sew seasonally. I have several projects on the go at once and snatch bits of time for sewing here and there as I can.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I don't sew seasonally, maybe one day when i have a little more time.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I do not sew seasonally. I sew whatever strikes my fancy at the time. Might be Christmas here soon!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Do you sew seasonally? , yes I do!!!! and I work with other stuff at the same time :)

    ReplyDelete
  133. It's SNOWING here today - and I am working on Christmas projects- so yes, today, I guess I am - but in general I work on whatever strikes my fancy on any given day.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I'd like to sew seasonally, but I'm usually so far behind that I can claim I'm just preparing for next year ;) Thanks for the chance.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Yes I do, but sometimes it even takes me an year to finish actually the project. So it is like an year ahead, lol!
Thanks for the lovely give away!

    ReplyDelete
  136. Nope, I don't sew seasonally - I'm actually thinking Christmas and Halloween for my next quilts, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I don't sew seasonally, however I do sew in certain seasons. Summer is out because there is too much to do with cattle shows and farming. Winter is when I sew.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Nope, no seasons for me either. I just go with whatever I feel like doing, whenever I get a chance. But I do buy new fabric when the new season stuff comes out, and then I want to sew with that!

    ReplyDelete
  139. Sometimes I sew seasonally, but mostly I'm always working on the endles UFOs and trying not to start another one.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I definitely sew seasonally. I am never ahead of the game!

    ReplyDelete
  141. I don't sew seasonally, but I'm not real good about sewing "ahead" either! HA!
Thanks for having a drawing each week! Your blog is so much fun!

    ReplyDelete
  142. I'm definitely a seasonal sewer/quilter. Maybe when I have more time and less projects I'll be able to plan my projects better and change that :)
    ourbusylittlebunch(at)hotmail(dot)com

    ReplyDelete
  143. I sew seasonally, usually because of the blogs I follow. Whatever they are making I end up wanting to make and use right away I dont want to have to wait to use it later :)
    jrobinson@flagler.edu

    ReplyDelete
  144. I am not good at thinking ahead for seasonal sewing. I see something I like in the season and hope I get it done for the next time it comes around. HAHA I need to practice thinking ahead..

    ReplyDelete
  145. Seasonally. It is hard for me to work on Christmas any other time of year than that festive season! And when the weather turns cooler and the leaves change color...I absolutely must work with autumnal fabrics! Right now I desperately want to work on my Sunshine Quilt (as we are in the middle of sprinter here in the Pacific NW) but daughter's Shakespeare costume is top priority.

  146. Yes, somewhat seasonally. I like to make spring/summer clothes for myself and daughter in the spring. X-mas quilts, table runners in December etc.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I sew pretty much year round, but I find myself making more outfits in the spring/summer. I think maybe because they are quicker and easier to sew! I like anything fast!

    ReplyDelete
  148. I do not think I usually sew seasonally, but this Spring all I can think of is something light and Springy for my table. It must have been a long winter, even here in Florida!

  149. I don't sew seasonally though right now I do feel springy/summery so like those charm packs for your lovely giveaway. Thanks for the weekly fun and in-between project sharing.

  150. I'm new to sewing so I do like to sew seasonally and I also want to sew everything I see. I have so sew many projects going right now that I don't have one thing finished. I even starting taking a quilting class and I have entered a block of the month class. I would love to have those fabrics!!! Happy Easter!

  152. I do not sew seasonally AT ALL. I sew whatever tickles my fancy at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  153. I love charm packs!!I am a haphazard kind of sewer and crafter! I do whatever I feel like doing : ) But I really do enjoy sewing during the winter months the best when the wind is howling outside and I can have my cozy slippers on : )

  154. I sew seasonally - sometimes, when a fabric calls my name. More often I sew what I am in love with at the moment.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I sew a little extra around Christmas, but no, not typically! No spring eggs fabrics for me, or Halloween. :)

    ReplyDelete
  156. seasonally but occasionally get sidetracked lol. thanx for the chance.

    ReplyDelete
  157. well I am not sure that i sew seasonally because I start two to three months before the particular season I am sewing for. which means for example by the time spring time comes I am already working on summer stuff. hope that is the right answer.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I swe seasonaly....recently did some Easter things, and a spring bathroom re-do

    ReplyDelete
  159. I sew seasonally if there is something I need for the season. Otherwise, I just sew whatever I want.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I do both...have projects for now and then some I hope to finish by Thanksgiving or Christmas

    ReplyDelete
  161. I think I am kind of spastic and sporadic with my sewing...I do alot of swaps and sew for those events..then I think I try to do UFO's since I always seem to be behind on getting things done!!

    ReplyDelete
  162. nope...i dont sew seasonally.

    ReplyDelete
  163. I would love to sew seasonally but most often I'm still working on my seasonal projects from 2 seasons ago! I normally finish them in time for the next year's season :)

    ReplyDelete
  164. I do sew seasonly!! I am making shorts and dresses for my daughter right now!! And even though I quilt (which to me quilts are for the winter time here in the south), I do it with seasonal colors!!!

    ReplyDelete
  165. I am a seasonal sewist, but qualify that by saying that I make myself work on a Christmas quilt here and there all year because I know when it gets close to the holidays there is no way I'll finish and get it to a longarmer in time. They are booked up from October on!

    ReplyDelete
  166. I sew what I feel, so it varies. I would like to get a jumpstart on Christmas things, but I don't see that happening just yet.

  168. I sew according to what I'm interested in at the moment. And it changes often.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I see to sew seasonally...but I never seem to get my projects done in the season I intend them for. LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  170. No I don't sew seasonally - I really make very little if anything for holidays - my Christmas quilt last year was the exception.

  171. I do some seasonal sewing - but usually when the specific season is over - LOL.
As now, I have planned an easter egg banner for weeks, and I have not started until now, when Easter is almost over. But as long as I have fun making it, it´s ok with me. I will enjoy it next year!

  172. Both yes and no! But when that is said, I am very influenced by the the season. I'm making darker things during the fall, and brighter things when the spring/summer is near! And off season in between! Happy Easter!

    ReplyDelete
  173. I would say no, but sometimes I pop a seasonal project in there.

    ReplyDelete
  174. No, I'm not a seasonal sewer, just make what I like when I like!

    ReplyDelete
  175. You know, I've never thought about it before. I do tend to sew with brighter fabrics when spring and summer are around and darker fabrics in the fall/winter. Love the post and thanks for a chance at such an awesome giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  176. When I make gifts I sew for the season, otherwise I make whatever whenever!

    thanks.

  177. I just whatever, whenever . . . although I do feel funny if I sew Christmas themes in any other season! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  178. No.... I sew whenever for whatever. Although, at times, using xmas fabric in July is... well... weird. And making, say, a rag quilt in summer is dreadful, but for the most part, it doesn't matter ;)

  179. I may make a table topper or placemats but am usually trying to finish a quilt before gardening starts. Thanks for a give away- your flowers are beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  180. I may start something seasonal at the right time, but it pobably won't be finished until a season or two later. Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  181. the only time I jump seasons is right before spring--I can't wait for the brightness!
    thanks for the giveaway!

    ReplyDelete
  182. I don't tend to sew for seasons. I do tend to sew to have gifts ready for holiday gifts. I'm hoping to make a Halloween quilt this year. Take care!

    ReplyDelete
  183. I don't sew seasonally. But I could use a little spring!! We had snow yesterday. :(

  184. For Christmas and Halloween, yes, I do tend to sew while in the season

    ReplyDelete
  185. I typically do not sew seasonally, except Christmas. I almost always am working on the "next gift", you know, wedding, birthday, etc.

I would love to win some springy fabric. Maybe it would take away the coldness around here.

    ReplyDelete
  186. Yes and no. Since I have stash that covers all seasons at all times. Can you say OCD? I sew all seasons all the time.

    ReplyDelete
  187. I do both...the season inspires me with colors and yet, I do know to start holiday gifts NOW instead of waiting until that season!

    ReplyDelete
  188. I do... mainly because I lack planning to sew in advance of a season!

    ReplyDelete
  189. I start projects seasonally. Getting them finished is another matter!

    ReplyDelete
  190. I do too. And I'm just like Teresa except...I start the projects seasonally and usually don't get them finished until the following season!

    ReplyDelete
  191. No, I don't sew seasonally. I sew just whatever I'm working on...doesn't matter.

    ReplyDelete
  192. I'd say about half and half. Half the sewing is working on projects that I know are going to take from now til the Fall to finish (with being a newbie and a mom to a 3 yr old...you get the picture)The other half is current projects that have that emergency deadline. Some of those are fun, and some are not :)

    ReplyDelete
  193. Nope, not seasonally. Right now I'm working on something for Independence Day and getting a piece ready for Halloween. I just did a spring piece but I don't think it was seasonal...just the next in line of "I want to makes". blessings, marlene

  194. I do sew seasonally and it gets me in trouble every year right around Christmastime. One year I will get smart and start early.

    ReplyDelete
  195. On my Wordless Wednesday post this week I have a picture of the project I'm currently working on using Halloween fabric :-) So I guess I don't sew seasonally!
