  12. I live in a neighborhood that put up lights at Christmas and because there are so many lights people drive around in cars looking at all the lights. We had 5 houses going up the street that had a reindeer on the roof (I had the second reindeer on the roof of my house) and the first house had Santa and a sleigh. After several years the reindeer feel apart and we no longer have them on the roof. People still comment about the years we had the reindeer on the roof...Great memories.

  13. In Alaska (where I live) you can hunt reindeer and a couple of winters ago my husband decide he wanted to...I hope that the only reindeer I see from now on is on cute fabric!

  15. Reindeer are the most special deer as they pull Santas sleigh on Christmas eve. They also fly, one has a light up red nose and they can talk. Amazing creatures.

  20. Took my 5 year old son to see 2 reindeer at a garden market last year, it was hard to see as they stayed towards the back of the pen, but he still talks about seeing Blitzen and Comet, and wants to go again! Thanks for the chance :)

  26. At Christmas I love to eat Reindeer Munch......I think it's called Moose Munch 11 months of the year, but in December the package is called Reindeer Munch, and that's when I eat it. Would LOVE that charm pack! Thanks for the opportunity.

  41. Reindeer are the best. I don't love them on fabric much but we love all the stories and folklore surrounding them, especially around Christmas.Our kids have fun leaving food for the reindeer and seeing the "reindeer droppings" on Christmas morning. Thanks!

  49. We live in an area with many deer. The night before Christmas Eve last year my sister was driving down our road and saw 8 (yes 8) deer crossing the road. My grandchildre were convinced they were Santa's reindeer making a visit!!!

  57. One of my co-workers moonlights in the winter as Santa Claus. He even has reindeer. Last December, he brought them to school the day before break and they pooped all down the hallway. The janitor was still grumbling about reindeer poop in June!

  63. Last year around Christmas they had a Christmas program type thing at one of the local open air shopping malls. One of the "attractions" were two reindeer in a cage. Yeah, did I mention we live in Georgia? And not in the mountains either. Right below Atlanta. Not sure how reindeer became Atlanta suburbanites.

  89. I love the image of reindeer with big old-fashioned sleigh bells. I bet (although don't know for sure) that reindeer see really well in the dark since there is little daylight near and above the Arctic Circle.

  101. Every year our company has their summer picnic at a reindeer ranch. It seems a bit odd to be feeding reindeer in the middle of summer but the babies are so cute and that's the best time to see them!

  121. My kids loved to take Reindeer sandwiches in their lunches - a peanut butter sandwich, cut corner to corner. Use one half. Put pretzel antlers in two corners. Add a cherry nose and raisin eyes. Thanks for the giveaway!

You didn't say which reindeer, so I'll mention Dasher & Dancer, Prancer & Vixen, Comet & Cupid, Donder & Blitzen ... but do you recall ... the most famous reindeer of all??? lol lol lol Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, had a very shiney nose, and if you ever saw it, you would even say it glows ... all of the other reindeer, used to laugh and call him names, they never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games .... cause Rudolph was home sewing with his marvelous Quilt Taffy purchases!! LOL

  140. Oh what a wonderful line! I have to go get me lots of that! When our kids were young we used to leave a pair of deer antlers in the yard so the kids thought they were from the reindeer! It was a fun thing to do. It worked until one summer they found them in dad's shed!

  142. We make reindeer food. Oatmeal and red glitter. That way Rudolph can see the food sparkling in the moon light. (The oatmeal melts into the grass if the reindeer are not hungry) :) Love Reindeers.

I knit a color-work sweater with reindeer on it, except that one of the sleeves ended up getting caught up in a bag I donated to charity before it got attached to the rest of the sweater...it was also about 10 times to big for me. My dear dad still wears this monstrosity as a vest! Every time I hear the word 'reindeer' I chuckle a little, as it makes me think of my dad in the reindeer vest.
