but after group sewing days,
it's HOT and I have to hold it
in the air
in the car
while I drive home.
How safe
is that?
And people call me
and I can't hold a phone
and an iron.
Yeah, it's a problem.
So I made a linen iron cozy!
I don't make a lot of bags or
have much zipper experience.
And I didn't have directions
AND it's lined with Teflon
and insul-brite.
And it worked
on the first try!
Can you tell
I am super stoked?!
The handle collapses, and
it just snuggles right in there.
Okay, where to next?
Because
I am ready to go!
Oh Man! you are bomb! What a job! I'm so proud of you and it is cute to boot! Actually I'm jealous of you too!
ReplyDeleteVery very cool!
ReplyDeleteGreat use for that adorable red riding hood linen!
ReplyDeleteI've dealt with that hot iron, "what do I do with it" dilemma...this is so cute!
ReplyDeleteWell aren't you Miss Clever! Well done!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!!!!! It really turned out super cute. SO fun sewing with you last week - what a treat. Happy Valentine's Day, my friend. xxoo
ReplyDeleteSuper stoked?? What are you a surfer quilter? ! :)
ReplyDeleteTotally
DeleteI usually just put my hot iron in one of my tote bags, wrap it up and stick it in another tote. I think I really NEED an adorable zip-closure iron pouch like yours!! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteI love your little iron tote! Was there a pattern for it??? I don't have much zipper experience either...
ReplyDeleteThe iron comes with a little zippered protective cozy, but it's not lined or heat proof. So I looked at it to make it.
DeleteSuch a cute pouch and very useful too. No doubt it will accompany you to many wonderful sewing adventures.
ReplyDeleteThat turned out darling. Now that you used my leftover case -- do you have a cool pattern to share?
