ReplyDeleteThe best spot is here, in my country (which is Poland). The province called Warmia-Masuria, especially Masuria part - it is called "the land of a thousand lakes". ReplyDeleteThe best spot is in southern Sweden, a place named Ă…hus, where there is a wonderful beach.
ReplyDeleteI love Lindisfarne island in the coast in Northern England - great at any time of the year! The rugged landscape, castle and the boats turned upside-down to repurpose them as sheds - fantastic! Have a look here: (http://conferences.ncl.ac.uk/icird2004/lindisfarne2.jpg) x ammartini
ReplyDeleteMy favourite spot is the area around Padstow in Cornwall - you've got a group of several around the rocky coastline, all with soft sand, rockpools and nice waves, although I prefer Constantine and Treyarnon bays - they're separated by a lovely rocky headland and you can choose which beach you head down to. The headland is my favourite place ever to sit and sea-watch. You get the Atlantic crashing down on the rocks, and I can spend hours deep in thought watching the water.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite beach is in Sitia, Creta. I spend a wonderful holiday there as a eight year old girl. Thanks for the giveaway and greetings from germany, Hildy
ReplyDeletehildy(at)ebertzeder(dot)de

ReplyDeleteHyams Beach on the south coast of NSW -it has the whitest sand in the world and the water so clear!
ReplyDeleteI loved the beaches on Sanibel Island in FL. thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fabulous giveaway. Lucy's Crab Shack is tempting. I like the beaches of Panama City Beach, Florida, with all the sugar sands ... and of course, Fort Lauderdale beach as I once lived in FTL.
ReplyDeleteWelllll...Many years ago, my hubby was stationed in Hawaii with the Marine Corps and we lived there for about 14 months. Now you have to remember that we were young and pretty strapped for $$ so we didn't do the 'touristy' things. We also had a tiny baby but we did manage to get to the beach a couple of times and Hanauma Bay on Oahu was far and away the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. A natural coral reef formed three separate crystal clear pools, perfect for snorkeling and also protected from sharks coming in. Like I said it was years ago, so the crowds were not as bad as they would be now. Thanks so much for a chance in this fun giveaway Hugs...
ReplyDelete***Note: Just a couple of weeks ago while my hubby was in Maryland visiting my Grandson, they ate at a "Lucy's Crab Shack" somewhere in their travels, LOL. True Story!!!
Not a big beach person, but loved Virginia Beach while we lived there.

ReplyDeleteHands down, the Brittany Coast of France. It's not anything you would expect to see in Europe. Surf City, French style. I wrote about it on my blog. http://www.randomthoughtsdoordi.com/2010/09/surf-city-france.html

ReplyDeleteSan Diego is really fun for vacations.
ReplyDeleteI liked Cape Hatteras, and especially Ocracoke Island, in North Carolina's outer banks. Hawaii is nice too, but I'm not so much into flying as I used to be :)
ReplyDeleteThe only beach I've ever been to is on the Gulf Coast. I remember driving along the beachfront and stopping to walk in the sand. Well, we didn't realize how hot the sand was and once my husband stepped on the sand, he did a little dance all the way back to the car, yelling "ouch" all the way!
ReplyDeleteI love love going to the virgin islands.
ReplyDeleteykatrina at hotmail dot com
What cute fabric for a summer table cloth. The most memorable beach I've ever been on was Normandy beach in France. Not a great swimming beach, but seeing the old World War II bunkers still in place and the cemetery not very far away was definitely an amazing experience.
ReplyDeleteThe only beach I've been too is Cannon Beach in Oregon . . . beautiful, but rather chilly. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much for the heat and being on the beach, but as long as there is a cup of coffee and a balcony for me, I'm there! ...I do love the fabrics!
ReplyDeleteIn Portugal you can find many beautiful beaches, I grew up in the coast so I'll have to choose SĂ£o Pedro de Moel. But if you ever come over Portugal be sure to also visit Arrifana in Alentejo. Beautiful as a beach can be.

ReplyDeleteOn the east coast I love Wingaersheek beach North of Boston. It is private most of the year and you have to pay to go there ($25?). But if the weather is beautiful before the season opens it is free. There are huge pools where the water gets nice and warm. A huge expanse of sand. Nothing like all the crowded California counterparts, but if I pick a San Diego beach we always love la jolla shores...
ReplyDeleteBest vaca beach?? Sanibel Island in Florida!! The beach sure sounds good right about now...sigh...
ReplyDeleteI've never been to a beach, but would love to go to Hawaii someday. Thank you for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteBest beach I ever visited was Coastao do Santinho in Santa Catarina, Brazil. I was a missionary there, so technically I didn't get to go "to the beach" (in the water, and things), but when my family came to get me, we stayed at the resort, and it is paradise!
ReplyDeleteLa Jolla was a great fun beach vacation.
ReplyDeleteWe've been to Maui, Hawaii, and loved it there. On the west side by Lahaina was where we stayed.
ReplyDeleteWe have also been to Punta Cana, Dominican. It was beautiful, and less expensive, but crammed with people.

My favorite, if not most exotic, vacation spot is La Conner, WA, my husband and I have been to the same inn three times now and it's a nice close escape with wonderful shopping and restaurants, and the most romantic place we can go without breaking the bank.
ReplyDeleteI don't know about the best beach, but I just ran a race around Cape Cod, and those are the cleanest, most beautiful beaches I've seen. Granted, I haven't been to Mexico or the Caribbean, but they were beautiful!
ReplyDeleteFlorida. Its the best I've been to
ReplyDeleteI would say the North Shore in Oahu is the best beach I have been to. I love this fabric, I really want to convince one of my girls to let me decorate their room with it.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite beach spot is Cannon Beach Oregon. We like to go in the evening and build a fire and sit and watch the sun go down. One time we spent the whole night there during a full moon. Strange as that may sound we were not the only people all night on the beach.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big beach person, but our honeymoon was to Key West and we camped in Dry Tortugas National Park on the beach and woke up to the sunrise each morning over the beach from our tent - it was amazing! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the beach behing the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. Always reminds me of the movie Some Like It Hot :)
ReplyDeleteAny beach in Hawaii is a great place to be.
ReplyDeleteNew Smyrna Beach, Florida!
ReplyDeleteMy friend is going to Torch Lake in Michigan....more lake beach, but the lake looks like the Carribean! I want to go next year!

ReplyDeleteMy fondest childhood vacation memories come from the dinky little beach on Lake Pepin....where we rented a cabin only 7 miles from home....but it seemed far away. :)
ReplyDeleteI can say with no hesitation that I am not fond of beaches. I really try not to say I hate anything, but I do hate the feeling of sand on my feet, and my body does not like to be in direct sunlight for very long. That being said, I did enjoy my trip to Cape Hatteras (east coast, USA) immensely! Fortunately, we had a house on the beach with air conditioning. I don't get to vacation often, so it was a huge luxury!!!
