Quick Holiday Treat

German Chocolate Brownies are one of my
favorite GO-TO desserts.
I hosted Book Club this month and needed something
chocolatey and rich at the end.
These brownies fit the bill.

We read "The Light Between Oceans"
and man are there some things to discuss!!
I highly recommend it however, it is not for the faint of heart.
It is moral dilemma at it's finest!

Back to the brownies.
Here's the recipe all typed up for you!
These are easy to make ahead, freeze or eat straight out of the pan!

I like to wrap them in wax paper and tie with twine.

  8. I'm a brownie purist, so my comment doesn't have anything to do with that... :) I have to say that I read The Light Between Oceans a year or two ago and agree 100% with your comments regarding the story. Try reading it with a daughter named Lucy! (Same age as the girl at the end of the story too!) I cannot recommend this book enough as long as you keep a box of tissues handy!

  9. Yum! I think you read Stargirl at your retreat this fall. I read about it on another person's blog. I ended up reading it and the sequel. Great books! In the sequel the universe answers her. It was a powerful message.
