I like the price of gas

It's afforded me the opportunity to stay home this summer.
Everyone is saying "Hey, where did the summer go?"
Well, I know exactly where it went. I feel like Goldilocks at the end of a chair sitting session. Didn't go by too fast.
Not too slow.....but juuuusssttt right.
I made a goal for myself at the beginning of summer vacation.....be homebound and happy. Went camping. Even slept outside in a tent in the backyard. I don't like smoke or dirt. Camping is just doing what I do everyday, only now I'm in the dirt. But I did it.
Because, hey there were no trips to Disneyland or Oregon. Watched Mike's garden blossom all summer long.
And the best is still yet to come.....pumpkins and gourds!
Enjoyed the wildlife. Enjoyed the bear as well.
Fed a very hungry boy everyday at 5:00 on the dot.
Greg worked on an elk ranch all summer.

Got up early and built fence everyday. You gotta keep those elk in somehow.
He went to bed very tired and happy every evening.
I could have kissed his employer! And here we are at the start of a new school year.
A senior, a 5th grader and a 3rd year principal.

Yep, learned the same lesson as Goldilocks. Don't be sleeping in strange beds.

Be happy in your own abode. Time moves slower that way.

  4. The price of gas..... Go figure it was at an all time high this summer and this was the year that we chose to go out of town. Usually we stay home EVERY YEAR. Darn family reunions, they get ya everytime. Well at least we used Bio Diesel so it didn't hurt the pocket book too much.
