  2. I think this fabric is really fun!

My favorite kind of bats are of the baseball variety.

Cats or ok, but I prefer dogs :)

    ReplyDelete
  3. I always had cats growing up, but now my husband and I (along with our two girls) have a pair of dogs. No interest in pet bats!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. I have never had a Ghastly cat, but there is one that hangs around the neighborhood and sprays in my yard. He is Ghastly! Bats are Ghastly too--but I love this line of fabric anyway--it speaks to my wicked side!

    ReplyDelete
  5. I love that range of fabrics too!

My son has befriended a neighborhood cat, it is a black cat and is a lovely cat, quite friendly once it is used to you. However my daughter is horrified that my son and I pat this black cat, she is sure it will bring us bad luck, I just say making friends (even with a cat!) is never bad luck :)

  8. that is the most awesome halloween fabric ever!

Bats...I found one in my bedroom. Have you ever tried to shoo a bat out the window? It's not easy.
When my mum was young she used to hide bats in her sister's bed, just for the fun of it (well, there was no cable TV back in those days)

    ReplyDelete
  9. i just love this fabric and i love my 2 cats! not so sure about bats though, can't imagine snuggling up with one of them

    ReplyDelete
  10. Bats are cute especially the fruit bat, love how they wrap their wings around their bodies when they sleep.

I like cats and bats, my sister says all I need is a broom! lol!!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Im with you Corrie...love the girl with the hammer. please draw my name!!! my sister and mother are allergic to cats, so ive never really been around them...but my children and i visit the bat house at the zoo and it smells rather badly....and we love Stellaluna...the book about a bat!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. BATS... NO WAY!!! I have had a "bat encounter." We lived at the lake and I had a bat land on me while I was sleeping, very creepy. Needless to say the next night the bed was draped with netting.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I love bats, they are my favourite animal!! Weird, I know. A friend directed me here, nice blog!! And if I'm not lucky enough to win, I NEED to buy this fabric. It's too Tim Burton-esque to not have!!

  14. I saw an elegant bat,
on his head he wore a top hat,
    Where did he go?
    Wouldn't you know,
He had a date with a cat.

ps, yeah, I just made that up

  15. black cats, stinky bats, oh my goodness where are my hats?
    Cute fabric!

  16. What a fun give away. I love cats but not so much bats. i actually think bats are scary.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I love cats too, we have two outside kitties here in our home in the woods. living in the ozarks we have many bats-love to see them as they eat lots of insects-and they are just cool
this fabric is wild-thanks for the giveaway

  18. Such fun Halloween fabric :)

I love cats but I am highly allergic to them.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I love the cats that come and climb up our fire escape for a visit (they're our neighbours), but I do not like the bats that sometimes swoop over the fire escape - they freak me out!

I absolutely adore this line; it's just so unique and interesting. I'd love to win!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Bats...for some reason love my house. We have had to cover vents to detour them from nesting here. Cats...love my house....but I invite them as I feed them Meow Mix; I don't even own a kitty cat! Love them...but husband allergic. So liking cats not so much those bats! Hee
These fabric is fun and whimsy...on the darker side. Love it!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hmm, well, there was a wildlife removal specialist that my in-laws had to get to come out and get the bats out of the attic at one of their rental houses. And we don't own a cat, but for some reason, every neighbor we've ever had has has a cat.

    How fun is that fabric?

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's all cute, in a sort of creepy way. I like the pinky color to offset the blacks and grays.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I can't decide if I like it or it terrifies me!

I have 5 cats, 3 of them black and they're the best beasties ever. No bad luck at my house, so it's all a myth. And every so often we have a bat in the house (old farm houses get stuff like that) and the kitties love it! You should see them romp! (Good thing they're up to date on rabies shots.) Me? Not so much...

Thanks for the chance to win!

    ReplyDelete
  24. The fabric would be great fun to work with! We used to have a beautiful white Persian cat, until I discovered I was allergic to cats! Bats are creepy and have closed down one of our local parks because of disease. Yuck!

    ReplyDelete
  25. the cats of course since I hate those beastly things call bats.

i love this range - no idea how to work it in a project but am so smitten by this line. Thank you thank you for the great give away.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Honestly? I think I'd rather have a pet bat than a cat. :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Cats and bats in May? Well, I guess I would say I prefer bats to cats--they get rid of mosquitoes!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. LOVE IT!!

Okay, I have a story that involves cats and bats in my house! 2 years ago, my husband was removing the AC units out of the window and there must have been 2 bats taking shelter in it because it was cool out. I thought there was a bird flying around in the house. Our cat took off like a rocket, chasing the bat around. He jumped 3 feet off the ground in pursuit! Long story short (me in the bathroom, laughing my head off as all this is going on). My husband caught one - Buddy, the cat, caught the other the next day. He was keeping him under his paw until we got home.

    True story. :)

    ReplyDelete
  29. Love this fabric! It reminds me of a Tim Burton movie.

I like cats, but both husband and I are allergic to them. Sometimes, though, I think my miniature schnauzer thinks she's a cat. She likes to curl up on top of the couch. :-)

  33. I remember one time when I was about ten I went to some stock car races. I was looking up at the lights and noticed "Birds" flying around. I said told my mom that there were a bunch of birds out that night. She looked up and said... "No, those are bats." I get a little chill whenever I think about "Night flying birds" :)

  37. I LOVE this fabric!!! Today is the first day I've seen it, but I've seen it in two different places now already!

When we first moved in to our home we discovered there were bats in our basement. Surprisingly enough, our cats LOVED to catch (and kill) the bats.

  48. Cats & Bats

I have never really liked cats. None I have met seem very nice. But bats sure are fun to watch. It is amazing how close they will fly to you.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I am with you...liking this fabric A LOT!

My son Parker LOVES cats, we nicknamed him the cat daddy :0 He used to say when he grows up he is going to have a pickup and his 10 cats are going to ride around int he back with him :)

    PS HATE bats :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Cats not so much, they make me sneeze. Bats they love mosquitoes and therefore keep the population down. (I think).
Irregardless I love the Ghastlie fabrics, the different motifs appeal to my warped sense of humour.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I absolutely love stuffed bats but was terrified when we had a real one in the house last spring. What a mess I was!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I love cats! Growing up we had a mama cat who gave birth to 6 kitties, we were only allowed to keep one of the kitties and had to give the other ones away. My boyfriend loves cats too, he also had a cat when he was little, but he is allergic so we can't have one right now. But I keep hoping that one day, in the pouring rain, we'd hear meowing outside and find a little abandoned kitty looking for a good home, who can say no to that?!

    ReplyDelete
  53. A friend of ours had a bat problem in their attic, so they put in some bat boxes, got the bats to move out of their house. Now they have so much bat guano to use for fertilizer that they're winning state fair prizes for their gourds.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Great fabric!!! I love the man with the invisible dog.

Bats....they always remind me of a houseboat trip we took on Lake Powell. At night, the bats would fly right inside and scared the kids half to death! I wasn't crazy about the idea either.

    ReplyDelete
  55. i think Bats are so cool! Seriously they amaze me with their sonar or whatever it is. This fabric is one of those I can't tell for sure if I like it but I think I like it but maybe I shouldn't like it because it is a little freaky lol.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I love the Ghastlies!!! How cute is that? Cat story...my friends cat threw up on her laptop keyboard and fried her pretty new pink Dell. She was able to replace the keyboard and she is back in business. Not a pretty story but it is a cat story. I like dogs.

    ReplyDelete
  59. That fabric is charmingly quirky! I see why it speaks to you! (and me!) it's definitely got a little something.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I love it, a little scary but it's adorable!! I wanted a cat, but we have 2 small dogs. My husband refused to get a cat because it might get up on the kitchen counters. I have seen bats outside at night, but I hope I never encounter one.

  92. Bats are one of my favorite animals. Once, I was doing the reading at my church (a large cathedral). In the middle, I looked up and there was a bat flying over the congregation! I stopped, eyes grew big, and continued on. There was a lot of wiggling in seats during the rest of Mass as everyone else noticed the little creature.
This is THE coolest holloweeny fabric I have ever seen. Love those trees. Spooooooky!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Neat fabrics! Don't care a whole lot for cats or bats myself. My sister had a bat get in her apartment one time. I think she chased it out with a broom.

  100. When I was a kid and played softball, I used to start out the season being able to hit pitches (with my bat!), but as the season progressed, I'd miss more and more. Years later, I figured out that it was because I would practice with a pitching machine, and I'd get used to being pitched at in the same spot, so stopped looking at the ball to hit it!

    ReplyDelete
  101. What a perfectly wonderful giveaway! We had a 23 year old cat that pasted away last year. We are not sure she really left as we still hear her strange meowing and once in a while, on a dark stormy night, if you look really close at the den door, you can just make out that big, bushy tail flipping around the door.
No Bats, we have Cocker Spaniels now but I am pretty sure that doesn't count for anything here....
