Zagged

I love a good triangle square.
So many possibilities.
I think I say this every time.

It was time for my baby boy who is now 22 to have a new quilt.
Made him this one when he was 5 and he insisted on taking it to college.
It has definitely seen better days.

Backed this in a dark chocolate brown minky.
It was really, really hard to give away.
My daughter and I wanted to keep it.

But off it went to college.

Details:
I used 40 - 10" squares from my stash in blues, oranges and greens.
3 yards of the dark chocolate neutral.
Go here to see how to make triangle squares.
I set it 8 across and 10 down.
Trimmed the squares to 9 1/2".
Came out 72" x 90".

  2. The quilt looks great. I was wondering if you also used a wadding in the quilt or just backed it with the minky???

  10. This is truly beautiful. I love HST and I love black/brown/dark backgrounds. If you look at my flickr page (MsSpy) you will see that I made my daughter a Giant Vintage Star using HST (18") and black background. It turned out great and she loves it!
