Giveaway Day!

Spent last week with Des.
We actually accomplished a lot, usually we
just sit around and talk about doing things.
We moved my daughter into
 her college apartment.
Even took an unexpected road trip.
 
And now I'm back trying
 to get on with
 life.
Great color
Great fabric
First up - Gracie Girl, Lori Holt's latest.
I hope you've seen her blog,
because her house is darling.
So is her fabric...
There are 10" squares, 7" squares, 5" squares,
 3.5" squares,
3.5" jelly roll and a 2.5" jelly roll.


 Here is High Street by Lily Ashbury.
I have a project in mind for this,
we have a little yardage of it too.

  

 

These Kona solids are so fantastic in person,

just bright, rich color.
They have a new
Sunset and Sunrise set.
Please tilt your head to the left.
I just got a new computer and trying
to figure out why this is sideways,
is the very least of my problems.


 And finally, there's Florence

    Some great fabric ranges to choose between. I would go for Gracie Girl. I have become a big fan of all Lori Holt does, and admire her for her generosity in sharing her designs.

    The sunset solids - and why do I want it - well ... it's just a colour way that I have hardly used. I always get stuck with the reds browns nd yellows. But I really want to do something blue, purple and green ...

    I'm in love with Gracie Girl! My youngest is named Gracie and we call her Gracie Girl all the time! And as she just turned 10, and wants a room redo - I am definitely using this line to make a quilt for her "new" room!

    I love the Kona Sunset. Why? The cool side of the color wheel is so relaxing and refreshing - just like a day at the beach. And Sunsets are a peaceful close to the day and a great time to thank our Creator for the beauty of the splendor and watching over us.

    Corrie: I would have to choose Gracie cause it is so unique that I don't have anything that looks like that. I love all the colors in it. and the designs look like they would work for kitchen stuff right. aprons, pot holders that kind of stuff.

    I like both High Street because of the beautiful colors and Florence because I love almost all of Denyse Schmidt's fabric lines. I'd probably go with Florence if I had to pick just one. :)

    I would love to make a quilt with Lily Ashbury's High Street, for my Mom. She makes quilts for everyone else and she doesn't have a girlie quilt for herself. If there were any leftovers, I would make myself a scrappy tote bag. Thanks for the chance!

    Love all of these fabrics, but I think Florence is the one I most want to work with. To me the collection has a vintage feel reminding me of the quilts my great grandmother made, but its modern at the same time.
