Jolly Giveaway

Too early to be seeing this Jolly fellow?? Well we don't think so. It's NEVER too early to start thinking of all the goodies we want to make for our loved ones. To start you off, today's giveaway is a charm pack of Mary Engelbreit's newest fabric line, Isn't Christmas Jolly? 31 - 5" squares. You get a little peek and a little piece of each fabric in the line. This one is my favorite. I'm thinking cute table runners!! I might need a little more than a 5" piece.

Leave a Christmas-y comment. Let's get in the mood for chestnuts roasting, mistletoe and warm fires. Heck, we had snow last week in Idaho. This isn't that far fetched for us! Drawing will be tonight!

  1. Oh the weather outside is frightful ( I just got back from Iowa..)
But the fabric is so delightful
And if we've no place to go....
Let us sew, let us sew, let us sew!

    ( you know the tune....)

    Love your blog!!

  2. With Christmas exactly 27 weeks from today I think this is a great giveaway. I received a quilt kit in the mail yesterday that I ordered from you. I have never made a quilt before so I will keep you posted on my progress and hopefully post a picture so other beginners will be inspired to try it! I can't wait to start this project. The fabric is beautiful! It's the vintage baby quilt.

  5. I like Luanne's song! Good one. Maichael Ann, the only song that comes to mind right now is O Holy Night.

We had five inches of quarter-size hail the other day, and it feels like autumn with half of the leaves now crunching under foot.

27 weeks?!? I better get busy.

    Happy Holidays!

  7. Christmas in July!! YIPEE!! That sure would make a wonderful quilt to wrap up in by the fire while watching "It's a Wonderful Life" or "The Christmas Story".

You'll shoot your eye out, you'll shoot your eye out.

I'm laying here like a slug, waiting for you to announce the winner, it's my only defense. dlord(at)pinehurstpropertiesllp(dot)com

  11. I just found your blog today. It's really beautiful in here. Love the pretty fabrics and cute projects. I just had to post because I found it ironic that you're also talking about Christmas. I just posted about Christmas gift making in yesterday's entry.
    Aloha!

  12. hmm... christmas already? well, if anything would get me in the christmas mood, it would be that cuter than cute fabric. um, something christmasy, eh? well, how about bright red and green holiday colors in my garden- cherry tomatoes and fresh leafy basil. i think that's the closest christmas image in can conjure up right now.

  13. I love ME's new Christmas line-it sure is making me get into the Christmas spirit, especially since we'll be in our new house this Christmas-yippee!

My favorite thing on Christmas is doing all the decorations as a family. My kids favorite part is putting up the little towns we have. I even have a little sewing shop! Once it's all set up with a layer of snow underneath, etc...I turn the lights on inside all of the little houses and it just glows and they squeal with excitement! I look forward to that every year. :)

  15. Hey girlys! I am not really ready for Christmas to be in stores yet....but it is! In the quilt shops anyway. I have been asked by two different quilt shops here to design Christmas quilt patterns for them with the new lines. So they are ready to think about it for sure!
I love the ME Christmas line. IT is so playful and fun. Also love the traditional Christmas colors! :)

  16. Love Christmas! Every year my family does a new Christmas ornament for our tree. I'm looking for a new one to craft this year. We have been doing this for years. It's so fun to pull out the Christmas ornaments and reminisce about making each one and remembering the fun through the years.

  17. Oh how I wish we had snow....it's 105...ONE HUNDRED AND FIVE DEGREES!!! I think the heat is making me a little punchy, wait, is that a pool of water I see in the distance? Huh, sorry, lost me there for a minute.

I can not wait til Christmas...It's my favorite time of year for sure. I love doing an old fashioned Christmas tree with popcorn and cranberry garland, some pomanders in a bowl by the door...*sigh* Can't wait!!!

ps. I've been making a few Christmas gifts already with the fabrics I won from you...thanks again!

  18. Great blog. I received my apron booklet to and saw your pink note in there. Hard to believe Christmas is only 27 weeks away but I work for Joann's and we've had Christmas fabric for 3 weeks so it will be here before we know it. I've already been tea dying warm and natural for my Christmas gifts. Happy Early Christmas Crafting.

    PS Great tune, Luanne!
