Blue Ribbons

Just a little update from the county fair. The kids did great with their sewing projects. Hermoine, my oldest.... (okay, these are my children's pseudo names, to protect the innocent. They chose Harry Potter names. My second daughter's name is not Luna. LOL. Not that it isn't a beautiful name, in case your name is Luna. :-)

Hermoine entered a Freshcut quilt & pillow. Luna got a blue ribbon on the dress she made & came in 3rd in the modeling competition - we were thrilled! Ron received a second place red ribbon on his sports quilt. We can't leave Harry out -- a photo of him taken by Hermoine got a ribbon too. The fair was fun for them. It's always nice to get a little recognition.

  4. Congratulations to all the "Potter" clan... Great to see that the art of needle and thread is being passed on to the next generation.

  5. It's so nice that your kids are excited about crafts and other projects. When they learn young to entertain themselves, they will keep that forever. I always say I am never bored because my mother taught me quite a few crafts and the rest I taught myself. I never have enough hours in the day. Boredom is not in my vocabulary as I'm sure it will never be in theirs. Good Job, Potters!!!
