MY High School Musical

I can't get enough of this.
I'm ready to grow my hair long and wear bib overalls. Went to see Mamma Mia again this weekend. Took a friend who had not seen it. While we were listening to Pierce sing to Meryl, my girlfriend leaned over and whispered, "He's OUR Zac Efron".

It just resonated with me. I thought, "Yes, yes, yes!! This is MY High School Musical!"

I will watch this 22 times a day. I will buy the CD's for the Karaoke machine. I want to wear T-shirts with Mamma Mia plastered all over it (get to work V). I'm looking for notebooks, pens, stickers and Sam Bobble Heads to adorn my locker desk.

We will watch this over and over at every slumber party quilt retreat I attend. We will re-enact our favorite parts. We will sing and dance and dream of Greece.

I will be a Dancing Queen.

  2. And to think you were going to let the reviews stand in your way, thank goodness for enthusiastic nieces and sisters! ;) T's will be available shortly, even if I have to puff paint them.

  4. I haven't seen the movie yet, but I did go to the Broadway production of it when it came to town. It was wonderful and I would really like to see the movie still. I am not ashamed to say I love Abba's music and put to a story it was terrific!

  5. Des this post is so funny. I want to see this movie too. No one will go with me. My kids make fun of me for wanting to see it and my husband just looks at me funny and says "I like Abba too but Meryl Streep signing???" I have got to see this movie!

  8. DH took me to see this for our 35th anniversary last month...he really, really didn't want to see it cause it was a chick flick...it's still a chick flick but he loved the movie and wants me to get it on DVD when it comes out! Loved, loved, loved the movie!

  9. O.K. I'm not a movie person or tv for that matter, but you have my interest peaked. Alas though, I will have to wait until it comes out on DVD. Glad you shared. And I haven't seen High School Musical either, but with all the merchandizing who can not know that it's big with the kids. Or at least they want it to be. :)

  11. I shouldn't have bought the cd. We've been obsessed with it for a month. My two year old is singing it. My daughters want to know everything, (there's lots of pictures with on the cd insert). Why are they singing that? How come she doesn't know they are there? Why is she jumping on the bed? It was the perfect 40th birthday w/ girlfriends movie!

  12. Love it, love it! I am so with you! I purchased the soundtrack the day after I saw the movie -- and I'm still listening to it. My soon-to-be 20 year old daughter loves it as much as I do. We went to the sing-along three times and had a blast.
My only complaint is the absence of "Waterloo" on the soundtrack. :(
