Spring Babies

At our last little getaway in the Tetons
(Calgon....take me away)
I took 2 small projects.

This cute, little triangle baby was
just what the mama ordered.
I hope!

I cut the triangles out with the Accuquilt and it was super slick!
I used the triangle-isosceles - 5"x6"
It was really quite fun to make and the the Accuquilt made everything so ACCUrate.
Hence the name, I guess. :)

I love a big, fat binding on the back.
It looks like a little border.
I cut my binding 2 1/2".
It is single fold.
The next Mama requested a Chevron in gray and white.
I love how this turned out.

Spring babies are the best.
Lilacs fill the air.....

We'd love to have you at our Fall Retreat!
Imagine how many baby quilt YOU could whip out??!!

Glitter is in the Air

 Wish you were my neighbor.
I'm having a little Easter brunch for
some friends at Church.

I've been a little obsessed with glitter lately.
I want every single gorgeous color that Martha Stewart makes.
However, Corrie and I found a much better solution for our glitter
experiments.

Dollar Store glitter nail polish!
AND I don't end up with glitter all over the house.
Some bottles have thick brushes
and some have really narrow ones.
 I like both.
Just depends on how much territory I want to cover.
I use Avery Matte White Textured Postcards #3380

Happy Spring!
Have a Blessed Easter!
He Lives!

Circular

Here's a quick and easy tutorial I found on Pinterest
Circular items usually intimidate me.

However, with my new Circular Toy......
I was inspired to give it a try!

I made the large size.
I used home dec weight fabric.

I used a lightweight interfacing because that's what I had on hand.
Next time I will try a heavy interfacing.
I love storing my yarn in it.

This was so fast and easy!!
Ashley did a great job with this tutorial.
I see many more in my future!

A few spots left for our 2015 Retreat!
We'd love to have you!

Here Kitty Kitty

I'm in a Kitten Making Mood.
AND I don't even like cats!

But they're so cute in fabric.
No hairballs.
No rubbing against your leg.
Just a soft pretend purr is all I need.

She just needs a face and she's ready to play.

Princess

My last baby blanket of the bunch.
I am so in love with anything Ann Kelle puts on material.
So I didn't want to mess with cutting up the Princesses'.

Added some yummy, yellow, soft and cuddly on the back.
In fact, I didn't even add batting.

Quilt label tutorial here
I wanted it to drape and wrap around really easily.
I love how it turned out.

I used this technique to put the
"Princess" writing on.
Super easy.

No crocheted monkey with this one
but added a bottle of dollies!!

Baby Roboto

My next baby quilt.....
I had some of the great Robot fabric
from David Walker that I have been
waiting to use for just the right project.

I wanted to try one of those
Half-Rectangle Triangles quick tip.
Didn't love the outcome.
I like my points to match up
and it didn't leave much room

for seam allowance on some of these blocks.  But you know.....it still
turned out great and what
was I so worried about?!

I did find this tutorial recently and she seems to have figured it all out!

This quilt is going to a cute,

little baby boy who's
parents are at
BYU.
Rise and Shout the Monkeys are out!! :)

Glasses fabric here.

Snails Pace

I'm on a baby roll.
Finishing up some baby goodies.

I love this little snail guy.
He was a lickity quick finish.

Okay, well.....it's been sitting in a pile
for a minute or two years
BUT once I sat down for a minute
it was done in two!
Are you still with me?

This pattern is from one of my
favorite books from the library!!
In fact, I just right now, finally pulled
the trigger and BOUGHT the dang
book off of Amazon.

Now I can buy more material
because I will save so much
money in library fines!
Brilliant!

And a Monkey Rattle too.
Snails and monkeys....they go together.
All god's creatures.

Dollies in a Bottle

After Monkey Heads....this was my next project.

I'm so in love with these fabrics from Ann Kelle.
They make a perfect dolly.
So I channeled my Grandma Jo and started crocheting purses!!

Didn't you grow up with those awesome baby bassinet bottles?
I'm sure our mothers bought them all at the Church Bazaar.

This is my updated version.
Mermaids (my personal fave)
Boys AND Girls
(may have been the whole reason for a Super Girl themed Retreat
