More Momo, Please ~ Giveaway

update: Jen Duncan won!
When is Blogger going to number their comments??!! My eyes go crazy counting.
Wow, i can't believe how many of you have or had rabbits!
It shouldn't be too strange to me....I had one in the 80's. A little black lop eared bunny named McKensie. Ahhh.
Thanks for keeping it fresh today!!
When just a little isn't enough........
Cry, More Momo Please!
Momo's in the house.
Here's what Moda has to say about Momo.
Don't get the two confused, MoDA, MoMO.
Wonderland from Momo
"Momo takes us down the rabbit hole for a tea party you'll never forget. (I'll be right down!) This collection of surreal landscapes and graphic shapes give Wonderland a look all its own -- vibrant reds, pinks, blues & greens."
We've got a fun graphic Quilt Kit in a stylin' lunchbox/tin,
you know you want it. So do I. the ever popular 5" charm squares,
10" Layer Cakes to enjoy a large piece of all 40 prints,
2 1/2 " Jelly Roll Strip sets,
1 1/2 " Honey Bun strips sets, a 7 fat quarter set,
2 large fun prints in twill
Did you see Bella's cute little purse yesterday made from twill?
Yeah, we're related.
She gets it from me.
and rounding it all out nicely....select yardage.
Whew.
Do you want Mo Mo? Or less less?
I can't get Rebel Yell out of my mind......she cried Mo, Mo, Mo. Are you with me Bridget? It's rock and roll this time. Fun Fact: (or not) My husband and I consider Rebel Yell our love song. It's the first song we ever danced to. I know....it's no REO Speedwagon, but it is what it is. Thank you Billy Idol.
OH, what is the giveaway today?
We're still about choices around here.
How about choosing between a:
charm pack
4 fat quarters
1 yard of cotton twill or
2 - half yard cuts!

Let's see....more choices.....leave a comment about rabbits or Billy Idol or Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum.

We gotta keep it fresh people!

Random Drawing later tonight, Thursday.

Good Luck!

  4. Need it. Want it. Love it.

Our bunny just died. Seriously. I am not joking. How sad is that?

  5. OMG, that is the most lovely fabric I've seen in ages. Pick me, pick, I'd be like Alice disappearing down the rabbit hole, disappearing into the sewing room to create something special with fabric like taht. Come on, take pity on me, we have such alimited choice of fabric here in New Zealand, my local shop never sells charm packs (that's my pick of the lott). I'll even sing Billy Idol while I sew if it helps. I always liked 'White Wedding' :-)

  6. Swear you won't tell anyone, but...I used to have a crush on Billy Idol a while back. A long while, but still.

Oh and I LOVE the MoMo! I can't decide which bunch of it I want. I'm really drooling over the twill. Have a great day ladies!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Now this fabric is great!

    cross fingers for me!!

    ReplyDelete
  8. I bore a very strong resemblance to both Tweedledum and Tweedledee when I was pregnant, just without the bow ties and silly hats. I would post a photo to prove it, but...just can't find one at the moment. Such a shame. ;-)

  9. Ooh Charm Pack for me. I'd really take a honey bun or a jelly roll or anything you want to shoot my way. And now that you mention it, I'm taken back to my first junior high dance with Billy Idol singing. I had no clue what all the fuss was about. And then they played Monay Monay. What was it about repeating words back then? Maybe they couldn't remember what was next?

Thanks for the fun giveaway! I can't wait to see who won.

  10. Lovin' the MOMO! It is so pretty and fun. I am not sure what I would pick. The twill could be interesting...but then a charm pack, or wait, yardage! AY YI YI!
Billy Idol??? Clueless on that one. I mean I know who he is but couldn't name a song or album. He was not for me. Now Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, we have a lot in common - the three of us should NOT wear horizontal stripes because yes we share the same body shape! Sad, I know. We also look quite dorky in hats. Although I don't LOVE the Alice in Wonderland ride at Dland, I DO love the Mad Hatter's Tea Cups there.

  11. Ohhh... Billy Idol...that was a long time since I listened too... wow... suddenly I felt old...dont know why...lol...Rebel Yell thats a great song!!!!
Love the the bag made of the twill... :o)

    "Oh! Little bunny rabbit,
    Hopping here and hopping there!
    Oh! Little bunny rabbit,
    Hopping, hopping everywhere!
Now your nose begins to jiggle,
And your ears begin to wiggle,
    Oh! Little bunny rabbit,
    Hop! Now hop away!"

  14. Lovely giveaway! I had fallen in love with Momo since I first saw it! And yes, the purse made by Bella is so cute!
I would love the fat quarter pack or half yard cuts =).
Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum have always been a fascination to me! As a child, I admired their strange but handsome outfits, their plumpy walks and how they complement each other! Fascinating characters I must say!

  15. I used to have the biggest crush on Billy Idol. Didn't he marry a fan, or am I confusing him with someone else, or it could have been a recurring dream where he married me, and sung 'white wedding' as I walked down the aisle. In my dream I was wearing a HUGE white frilly, crazy over the top 1980s wedding dress, and I had the biggest bubble permed hair you had ever seen.

I digress - Momo - momomomomomooooooooo!!! I love that stuff too much for words.

    ReplyDelete
  16. GORGEOUS! I wasn't much of a Billy Idol fan until I saw the movie "Legend of Billie Jean". I loved when she chopped her hair off and channeled Billy! It has made me want that short spiky blond hair ever since LOL! Now I'm going to have Rebel Yell on my mind for days. Gee, thanks ;-)

  17. I just spent some coin in the ebay shop and found the blog. It's so fun!! --The blog, that is. Hubby doesn't think me spending coin on fabric is so fun. Anyway, we have millions of rabbits and my daughter loves to chase them. My dog likes to "play" with them, my hillbilly hubby used to eat them, and I would like to sew with them! Thanks for the generous giveaways.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Great giveaway! Thanks for the chance.

Billy Idol? I haven't heard about him since the 80s...boy, do I feel old...

    ReplyDelete
  19. You have the best giveaways! Such beautiful fabric!
    Blessings,

  20. Oh wow. I never got into the whole Alice in Wonderland thing. That queen was too freaky! I maybe would have, if I had this fabric tied into it somehow. Sadly the rabbits in print are the only ones I'm allowed to pet--allergies...sniff, sniff.
    Great choices for your giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I love this fabric! So happy!! When I think of rabbits I think of my son's rabbit Gerald that someone gave him as a birthday present at college. Guess who became the surrogate parents of this cutie? Not my son, the rabbit! Have a great day!

  22. Such cute fabric...I would love to be in the drawing.

Growing up my husband had a small farm in a bigger city. They had rabbits, ducks, chickens, dogs, cats, and reptiles to fill in.

  30. Random bunny-related comment: I picked up some used books for my 3-year old daughter last weekend, and was reading one to her last night. It was an older one, about a family of bunnies. I was reading right along, until it got to the point about a mean old weasel eating grandpa bunny for breakfast. I just couldn't do it - I skipped those lines! Now I'm wondering what that says about my parenting... :-)

    ReplyDelete
  31. I LOVE wonderland! I think the 4 fqs would be better. When I was 9 I was in a play, and ended up being either tweedle dee or tweedle dum. Ughh. We had the outfits and everything. We looked kind of funny because we were girls, and we were stick thin!

    ReplyDelete

I never was a huge fan of tweedle dee or tweedle dum, but, I do like them better than the walrus and the carpenter! I also happen to enjoy the cheshire cat! such a lovely mix of helpful sarcasm! What does all this say about me? who knows, ha ha ha :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. Nice fabrics and a wonderful Give away! To be honest, I don't know Billy Idol (!)About rabbits - We often spent Easter holiday in Denmark (we live in Norway) when the kids were small. There is plenty of wild rabbits, so we called them Easter bunnies.

Our first grand daughter is known as our "bunny baby".We have a family tradition of calling out "bunny" the first of every month-whoever says it first "wins".Little, beautiful Ariana was born on the first of August & I try to find Bunny things for her for the first of each month. "Bunny" just seems cuter than "rabbit", don't you think?!!

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  40. Why haven't I seen this before, it's super cute and perfect for spring! Oh, talk about a great kitchen wall hanging out of it!
As for Alice in Wonderland, I never could get into that darn movie. And Billy Idol was before my time. I do remember seeing him in Adam Sandler's the Wedding Singer though!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. That fabric is gorgeous. I have to say that Billy Idol has always freaked me out a little bit. Am I the only one?

    ReplyDelete
  49. They all sound good but I guess I would pick 4 fat quarters.

Rabbit story- My husband and I were watching the 2nd season of NYPD Blue last night and a psycho stalking female was after detective Simone. I turned to my husband and said "do you smell boiling rabbit?" (Fatal Attraction movie reference for those who don't think that is funny.)

    ReplyDelete
  50. This looks like fun fabric and I could use some new fat quarters!

I am working on Ann's BOM at Bunny Hill right now it has really sweet baskets filled with something different to applique each month.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I just found your blog yesterday, and today it was the first I went to. And now a give away. I was an 80's girl and absolutely love(d) Billy Idol. I was even able to work his music into a very long comparative essay my senoir year. It probably helped that my teacher was clueless as to who he was!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I can't believe it but I'm actually with you! It's nice to know the song this yime ;).

I think that's an awesome song to have! My husband and I danced to Brian Adams "Everything I do I do it for you". The second longest song in history only to be trumped by Meatloaf. My heals still have a blister 12 years later.

    ReplyDelete
  59. "Gimmee gimmee mo gimmee mo gimmee gimme mo..." little Britney Spears there for you youn'uns.

Did you know rabbits have two kinds of poop and eat one? They have hard, dry pellets which are their real wastes, then they have soft greenish poop which they immediately eat, because it still contains a lot of undigested nutrients. This is similar to a cow chewing its cud. It's because they don't want to spend a lot of time out in the open feeding like a cow, so they digest the rest of the way back in the warren with the coprophagy thing. Sorry, museum exhibit writer/researcher/quilter over here.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I do love this fabric! My mom used to have pet rabbits as a child and every year around Easter she threatens one for our daughter!

  69. I swear this is the truth--MoMo is my very favoritest out of all the new Moda lines. LOVE it!
I collected little Avon bunnies that came out once a year in the early 80's for my youngest daughter. Now she wants to pull them out for her own daughters room, and yesterday I found one of the missing years' rabbits at the thrift shop for $1.99! yay!

    ReplyDelete
  70. I would love the charm pack if I won...

My favorite rabbit name of all time--Cadbury! He belonged to my sister-in-law...

    ReplyDelete
  71. I have this photo of my dad and husband at the tux shop trying on our wedding tuxes. My hubby is 6'5" and my dad is 5'10" (and potbellied). The tie that came with the tux ended up being WAY too short on both of them and they looked really silly without the jacket on. So we called them Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum all day.

    ReplyDelete
  72. My maiden name is dutch and it means "rabbit" in English - I guess I had some quick and jumpy ancestors, or maybe they just had lots of bunnies :)

    ReplyDelete

  79. Fun giveaway! What a great fabric line - i stare at the fabric online on a daily basis, but haven't yet decided what to order. winning some would certainly help!

and speaking of rabbits... here's something funny. when you make a little snowman and go looking for eyes, even though those little perfectly round brown balls look like they'd work so well, i'd advise against it. from personal experience... um, yeah.

    ReplyDelete
  80. How about Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum dressed as rabbits and dancing to your song?

I love the reds! Great colors!

    ReplyDelete

  89. I had the most wonderful rabbit pet named Oreo. She lived for 10 years in a cage in my Dining Room and even though my dog would try to chase rabbits outside he never bothered her. He became quite distraught when she got old and would fall over. He would come and get us and he barked like crazy when she passed away. We were all sad for a long time but I think the dog missed her most of all.

    Love the fabric.

  130. Ooooh - love!

I would love to have a rabbit... a big, floppy eared bunny would completely make my day. However, I have a cat that would probably disown me if a rabbit showed up in the living room, so alas, no rabbit :)

  135. The fabric is so pretty. I have not seen it before. Well, the first thing that came to my mind when I read "rabbits" was Thumper from Bambi and what he said "If you can't say something nice just don't say any thing at all" I am saying nice fabrics.

  145. Um. It's pretty difficult to choose between Billy Idol and Tweedle Dee/ Tweedle Dum. You're causing lots of angst for every good child of the 80's. The other choice is hard too, but I guess I'd have to go with the charm pack.

    Great giveaway, thanks!

  146. Let's see. . . I know! We saw rabbits today at the Boise Zoo! They were a little shy and didn't want to come out of their "rabbit hole" but they were cute. BTW, I LOVE this fabric line. Can I have one of each, please?

  151. I'd pick the 4 fat quarters. What a beautiful line of fabric.

Rabbits... we had them as children. My brother decided to breed them (we lived on a hobby farm) and he was very successful. Too successful. Needless to say, he didn't really need the 'birds and the bees' talk! :-)
