Random drawing Friday night.
The only aprons I've made so far are the "lets just cut a square and add a tie" type. Not exactly winning any pattern contests! I've been yeyballing this book and here's hoping I win! I can think of at least 4 Christmas gifts that would be made from it!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'm already a follower. How could I not be since Quilt Taffy rocks!!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally following Jodi's blog now. How can I not! And why haven't I known about her before? Gah, think of all this wasted time:)
ReplyDeleteI am not participating in the giveaway, let some nice ingenuous quilter receive the same. The words retro and aprons - means a lot to me. I am desperately searching for the Retro Kitchen Aprons cross stitch kit, that is why. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteAnd i am already your follower!! quilter or not.
I hope to applique some day, Taffy and if i get the hang of it and love it will try quilting too:)
I will now go and check the Needle little Inspiration site.
Apron is to keep your clothes clean while doing house work which I don't use but if you are giving one, I don't mind wearing it.
ReplyDeleteYou are part of my daily blog but NOW I will be a follower (I thought I was).
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I have SOOOOOO many apron patterns and guess what! I have never made an apron for myself. Yeah, seriously! ONE of my favorites is Retro Aprons by Cindy Taylor Oates.

I haven't made any aprons, but I REALLY need to replace the utilitarian apron that I stole from my mom when I went off to college 10 years ago. Anything would be better than the green checkered apron! Maybe that's why I don't use because "nothing" is better!
ReplyDeleteI am partial to the half aprons though. Thanks for the giveaway

My favorite apron is one I made years ago that is from a dishcloth calendar for 1981, the year I was born. (I found it in a box of yard sale fabric when I was staying with some friends on a farm up in Indiana one summer.) I actually collect aprons so I have a ton that I have made or purchased at thrift and antique stores, but that one is my fave-quite ugly-but still my favorite!!

ReplyDeleteHm, now this one is a little harder- what apron is my fav? Well, it's not vintage, but my MIL had a black apron embroidered with a bumblebee and the words "Queen Bee" for my birthday one year. It is my favorite because she had it done especially for me!! And that makes me feel SPECIAL!! :0)

ReplyDeleteI LOVE aprons, especially retro patterns and fabric. I love them because I actually need them. I cook a lot and will ruin whatever I am wearing if I don't have an apron on. But mostly I love them because my grandma ALWAYS wore one and they remind me of her. Aprons make me happy!
