Share the Love ~ Giveaway

Update: MiChElLe you are a winner! Congrats!
We're sewing & eating away. great combo.

No, this giveaway isn't for Amy Butler's Love fabric.
You'll have to buy your Love elsewhere.

I'm headed to our annual quilt retreat. Last year,
we brought a 'kit' of some type for everyone.

This year we're bringing a 'love' gift. Something we love.

Since I have fabric, and I do love it -- they're getting material.

I love figgy pudding. I love turnovers.
A match made in heaven.

That is what they're getting.

Tasty & filling.

I'll share the recipe another day. Got to keep packing. I need clothes too.

I know I'm going to forget this... Shelto's dick & jane laminate.
I keep moving it from spot to spot. How am I going to get all of this in the car?
Nicol is driving; she's taking her bike. Hope we fit.
Giveaway is a turnover --

Leave a comment about your favorite dessert.

Random drawing later. We'll draw sometime, hope we have internet access. Loved the comment last week about leaving your email address. Please do. If we can't find an email, we draw again. Happens all of the time.

  1. Retreat time again??? I love when you gals have your retreat! You all have so much fun and I like to pretend I am there with you. Weirdo, I know!!
Favorite dessert?? That is liking picking a favorite child!
It would have to be chocolate but wow, after that it is pretty much WIDE OPEN! I like Chocolate Caramel Brownies, I like Chocolate Chip Cookies. I like Chocolate Chip cookie pie! Heck, give me a can of chocolate frosting and I am happy!
If my mother was alive it would be the butterscotch pie that she used to make.
Have fun! Take lots of pics and share them with us.

  6. Retreat time? Oh, lucky duck you! Have a wonderful time!

My favourite dessert. Well, that's a tough one. I'm allergic to dairy, so my favourite desserts are all ones I can't eat. No cream, no custard, no sweet sticky toffee pudding for me any more (*sigh*). A fruit salad just doesn't hit the spot, does it? So if I could eat a dessert I would have a bowl piled high with apple crumble, syrup sponge, sticky toffee pudding, bread and butter pudding, custard, cream, ice cream and maybe a little cup of milk on the side. Then I'd probably be really ill. But, man, that'd taste so good!!!!!!!

  7. I've always wanted to go on a retreat, but haven't yet. They always sound like so much fun!!

As far as dessert, I'm an icecream girl. Especially Mint! And just an FYI, here in Hungary they have a mint colored icecream! Er... that tastes really funny. Turns out it's Pistacio! Yeah, not exactly minty:)

  12. I have a pretty major sweet tooth, it's hard to pick a favorite! My sister and I love the cake my mother makes for our birthdays, though we seem to be the only ones who really love it! She makes a chocolate chip cake with a butterscotch filling and chocolate ganache icing. A bit unusual but we love it.
Thanks for the chance at the giveaway!

  17. I love desserts. I wouldn't be able to pick one. Chocolate, ice cream, cakes... And also fruit!! Pineapple, grape, juicy peaches.

I think vanilla is my favorite ingredient, though. That is: if all else had to disappear and just one could stay, I would go with vanilla. Although I would sure miss cinammon...

I wish I could retreat and just quilt for some days. I need a break...

  19. My favorite dessert is anything that is dark chocolate and gooey. My second favorite is creme brulee. I even learned to make creme brulee so I could have it a bit more often. It is a great dessert for those of us with "sugar" issues. There is sugar in it, but it is a smaller amount than most desserts. (now creme brulee with chocolate sauce - HEAVEN)

I'm looking for some special green fabric for the backing of a quilt that I'm making for my favorite sister-in-law (actually my only sister-in-law, but I love her dearly). The quilt is a flower garden with lattice so I really don't want the backing to be too busy but I can't bring myself to use a solid color either. Any suggestions?

  127. My favorite dessert is what my family calls chocolate layered dessert. It's the one that has a shortbread crust, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and cool whip next, then chocolate pudding on top and the whole thing coverred with cool whipi. It's so easy, but yummy!!! Love the fabric, and I love your give a ways! One of these times I'm going to win!

  129. I left a comment about real food desserts. But it occurred to me that maybe you meant which turnover we might prefer. I think Snippets is really fun. I also like Shirtings.

(I am still thinking CHOCOLATE sauce on creme brulee!)

  131. My favorite dessert is sweet and simple - Angel Food Cake. I've never been much for chocolate, unless mixed with pb and growing up, I always requested Angel Food Cake for my birthday. My brothers complained it was boring but I thought it tasted like clouds. As an adult, I love a big slice with fresh fruit and a cup of tea.
Thanks for the chance to win!

  132. Thanks for the generous give-away. I love the snippets fabric and the figgy pudding. My absolute favorite dessert is Raspberry explosion, it's an oh so delicious cheesecake layered with Raspberries. When I can't have that it's chocolate brownies with ice cream and coconut on top. Yummy - This is making me hungry.

  138. What a cute gift for the retreat! I haven't had an opportunity to try the turnovers yet. But have the jelly rolls, layers cakes and charms. I absolutely love the jelly rolls. So fun to make projects with them.

I wasn't sure if you meant Moda dessert or food desert. So just in case, I better list my regular food dessert too. My daughter makes these great snickerdoodle cookies. They are really soft and she makes them really big. Yummy!!!
