Love that "Good Earth" pattern, it reminds me of It's a Small World at Disneyland.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday goodie is sugared cranberries. I posted about it last year and there's a link to the recipe. It's so incredibly easy, it can't even be called a recipe!
http://greetingarts.typepad.com/greetingarts/2008/12/afterchristmas-sale-on-cranberries.html
I love "Hello Dollies" the coconut, gram crackers, chocolate chip pieses....and carmel...mmmm mmmmm good.
ReplyDeleteI can NOT find the recipe right now but if you want exact measurements, email me and I'll find them! Creamm cheese and coconut snowballs are yummy and fun! As I recall, the only ingredients are cream cheese, powdered sugar and coconut. You mix the sugar and cream cheese together, form it into a ball, and roll the whole thing in coconut. Get those little graham cracker sticks to dip in it! You could even break the dough into three balls and make a little snowman!
ReplyDeleteI love to take Nigella Lawson's Christmas rocky road- the almond amaretti biscuits give it a great Christmas aroma!
ReplyDeleteRecipe: http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/christmasrockyroad_90624.shtml
Our traditional favorite holiday goodies are M & M cookies. You can basically make a Toll house recipe, but replace the chocolate chips with M & M's. I like to place some on the top of the spooned out dough (we like the Christmas colors :-) Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love to take Nigella Lawson's Christmas rocky road- the almond amaretti biscuits give it a great Christmas aroma!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday goodie is 7-layer bars. I am sure there are recipes all over the interwebs :-) My grandma calls them "Hello Dolly" bars. Yum!!!
My favourite holiday treat asre christmas pudding truffles. Any easy recipe of 1 Christmas pudding plus 1/2 cup chocolate chips plus 1/4 cup of brandy or whiskey, roll into balls the cover in the darkest chocolate you can find. YUM!
ReplyDeleteMy Favourtite holiday goodie? Mmm hard to say. I have a Christmas party to go to tomorrow and I'm taking American Chocolate Brownie (with melted chocolate icing covered with sprinkles). Yum.
ReplyDeleteGingerbread cookies are always great!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance.
Holiday goodie?? Yummy gulab jamun. This is a Bengali sweet... And the fun part is i can make this out of instant mix packets!!

Can I tell you how much I love that Alexander Henry fabric? A lot!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite goodie to take to a party is my camera and then I have pictures to give to everyone afterwards! But, for food, spinach artichoke dip with pita chips. Here's a recipe: http://find.myrecipes.com/recipes/recipefinder.dyn?action=displayRecipe&recipe_id=1553076
Oh, how I love buckeyes. You know, the peanut butter balls dipped in chocolate. mmmm
ReplyDeleteWow am ever boring compared to everybody else. I just like shortbread biscuits with a cup of tea. Sorry I don't have a sweet tooth for sugar just for fabric.
ReplyDeleteOoh, what an adorable giveaway! Count me in! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhile there are lots of good cookies that I adore, one favorite recipe that I'll be making for our Hannukah party this weekend is Noodle Kugel. If you haven't had it, it's kind of like a custard with noodles. I use this recipe, which could not be any easier. I recommend substituting Vanilla Almond Special K for the corn flakes in the topping. :-)
It's also a good brunch recipe, as it's not too cloyingly sweet.
OK, now I'm hungry!
Liz @ teeny tiny quilts
These fabrics are too cute! My favorite goody is cut out sugar cookies. I use my Aunt's recipe from years ago. I only make these once a year so maybe that's why they're such a treat. I put them in a huge glass pickle jar and they look so pretty! Throw in a wedge of apple or a piece of bread to keep them soft and fresh. Delicious! (I make these once a year, even if I don't need the extra calories!:)) Thanks for the chance to win. :)

ReplyDeleteI love that puppy chow mix...i think its chex mix, and peanut butter and chocolate covered in powdered sugar...but, then again, real honest to goodness sugar cookies with powdered sugar frosting only comes around once a year! yum. love good earth! thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteHow about taking some square pretzels, adding a chocolate candy melt button, in a 200-degree oven for 2 minutes, then add an m&m on top. Easy peasy and so good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance.
My favourite treat would have to be anything chocolate or pepernotten. These are little Dutch cookies that my Grandfather would hand out at our Sinterklaas party.
ReplyDeleteltenhage@gmail.com
Chocolate covered pretzel rods rolled in crushed peppermints or garlic mushroom tartlets. They are a tie in my book. Ohh and EGG NOG, it just isn't a holiday season without egg nog.

My favorite holiday goodie to take to a party is shortbread bars with lemon glaze - I make a "safe version" with fresh lemon juice in the glaze, and a "dangerous version" using Limoncello in the glaze! A crowd-pleaser and the descriptions always get a few laughs.
ReplyDeleteBuckeyes-Yum, yum, yum!

And easy!
Coconut balls are my fav. Though Nanimo bars are close second, and they can be cute very small because they are soooo sweet,
ReplyDeleteI would just love to win... goodies... well with all my allergies, I am having trouble finding goodies I love...but before them, I loved rice crispy treats drizzled in chocolate!
ReplyDeleteYou just take 6 cups of the rice crispy cearal, one bag of mini marshmellows, 1/2 a cup of butter, and some chocolate chips.
Met the marshmellows in the microwave with the butter(about 2 minutes), stiring half way. Once melted, mix in the cereal. Then be ready to get messy as you smush in a 9x9 greased pan. (This is where you can lick your fingers). Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave (between 1-2 minutes) and drizzle the chocolate on top. Fantastic!
My favorites are Spritz cookies, fudge meltaways and mini loaves of carrot, nut and banana bread. I need to start baking and freezing my little loaves which make great little hostess gifts!
ReplyDeleteepban@bellsouth.net
great fabrics thanks! my favorite goodie is my mother in law's million dollar pie. I don't have the recipe but it's grahamn cracker crust, whipped cream, cream cheese, pineapples and pecans. It should be million calorie pie but it's worth it!!

Oh, PLEASE stop! All these fun goody ideas are making my mouth water!!! One that I made last Christmas was Ritz crackets, dipped in mint flavored chocolate. They taste like grasshopper cookies. Yum!
ReplyDeleteGotta havea these :)
ReplyDeleteThe best goodie that my family (even extended family) begs for is my choc peppermint cake. Bake a choc fudge cake mix in a 9x13 dish. When it comes out, poke all over the top with toothpicks. Pour 1 can of condensed milk and 1 jar of favorite hot fudge onto poked cake. Let cool. Top with cool whip and crushed candy canes. Refridgerate overnigt- the candycane forms a cruchy coating and all the flavors ooze together! WAY EASY, but I promise you will get requests all through the year for this one (I use white candy canes during the year, and it's called a "snow" cake!) HA! Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteMy first post didn't work out...second try.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric! Okay, my favorite holiday goodie is no bake candy cream cheese pie.
Snicker’s Cream Cheese pie is my favorite. I take these pies every time I am in need of a desert for a party and there are never any leftovers and people love them.
1 package of cream cheese
½ of a small container of sour cream
1 small container of whipped cream (Cool Whip)
½ C. sugar
1 t. Vanilla
Cream that together
Pour into a large graham cracker crust.
2 frozen crushed Snicker candy bars. You can use a food processor or stick them in a bag and grab a hammer. Sprinkle them over the top of the pie and then drizzle fudge and caramel over the top. Refrigerate for a couple of hours.
You can actually use any kind of chocolate bar. I’ve used Milky Way, Butterfinger, 3 Musketeers and Snickers and that is my favorite. Butterfingers are also really good. If don’t want candy on top you can top the pie with any kind of fruit toppings as well.
A really great simple cmas goodies is a half a bag of ripple chips (broken into little pieces), bag of chocolate chips, bag of butterscotch chips, bag of peanut butter chips, and chopped peanuts.
ReplyDeleteSo you melt all the chocolate chips, add the broken ripple chips, and chopped peanuts. Then you put them into tiny cupcake paper cups, and then you freeze them for an hour (or until hardened). They are soooo good. Sweet and salty!! they are a hit around my house this time of year!! And so easy to make!!
Happy holidays!
h_freund@hotmail.com

Cute bunch of fats! I am sure I could find a use for those!
Kari
Cranberry Biscotti! It's on the side of the Pillsbury Cranberry Orange quick bread box. No one ever believes that I made them - they are so good and cute!
ReplyDeleteFavorite holiday goodie? I have a recipe for these chocolate cookies that you poke a small frozen marshmallow into the dough ball, seal it up, roll it in sugar and bake. The cookies crack open and the marshmallow kind of oozes out. They are yummy any time of year, but at Christmas they are like hot cocoa in cookie form.

I love these fabrics!!!!! The owl and mushrooms are just fabulous.
ReplyDeleteMe? Homemade tofee can't be beat and it is easy to take. The plate will not come back with any crumbs either. It may even be washed by someone's tongue! ;)
Perfect day to leave a comment...I just baked some of these this morning!! My favorite cookie in the world is the GINGERSNAP! Something about the molasses, ginger and cinnamon and the chewy center just makes me all warm inside...not to mention the smell of those baking in the oven. Not to mention they only take 8 minutes to bake...oh, I think I'll go have another right now.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite holiday goodie isn't technically a holiday goodie, but it's the only time I get around to making it! Banana bread all the way!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately there are many holiday goodies I enjoy. But the first thing that came into my head (and is making me so very hungry) is homemade cream puffs! mmm... so good!
ReplyDeleteHave fun at the party...
mmm....goodies! :D My favorite one is something called white trash. It's pretzels and nuts and m&ms and cereal and all sorts of delicious stuff covered in white chocolate. YUMMY! :D
ReplyDeleteI like to take homemade chocolate dipped pretzel rods. They're hand held, so you don't need a plate and can walk around, everyone likes them, and they're fast and easy to make!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun time at your party!
Love the pear fabric. Thanks for offering this giveaway.
Pretty much anything with chocolate. I love these little things that we call Birds' Nests that you melt butterscotch chips and semi sweet chocolate chips together, then mix together with chowmein noodles (those crunchy ones in a can usually...I think they are called chow mein noodles). Then scoop onto a waxed paper and allow to harden/dry. Tasty easy treat.
ReplyDeleteOh, it's got to be my husband's homemade fudge! It only happens once a year and my whole family looks forward to it.
ReplyDeleteCornflake cookies would be my vote!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite are cut out cookies decorated by my kids. Lots of sticky fingers and frosting all over the place.
ReplyDeleteThat's easy - favorite holiday goodie is homemade caramels. My Mom started making them a long, long time ago and we still make them every Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThis one is quick and easy and everyone loves them. Chocolate pretzels. Put mini pretzels on a cookie sheet and unwrap a hershey kiss center on each pretzel bake in a 250 degree oven for about 6 minutes. Upon removing from oven press a m&m candies in the center smushing the kiss. Let cool and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteFudge, of any flavor but chocolate is the best.

ReplyDeleteHoly Cow Cake
Devils Food Cake prepared;
As soon as it comes out of the oven take the end of a wooden spoon and poke holes in it, pour an entire can of Eagle Brand milk and about 1/2 a container ( or more ) of Caramel (from the ice cream topping section). Refrigerate until this is cold and the caramel and milk are set in. Take our and top with Cool Whip and Sprinkle with Butterfinger pieces.
I like to make this in 2 small disposable aluminum cake pans that come with the plastic covers. This way I can take one and keep one! :0)
We all love this and it is so easy.
What a cute selection of fabrics!
ReplyDeleteFavorite holiday goodie . . . hmmmm. Well i love the veggie pizza made with a crescent roll dough crust, cream cheese and chopped assorted veggies. Any sort of snacky party food like that is my fave. An arrangement of Mediterranean inspired nibblies is real yummy too - hummus, pita chips, olives, feta cheese, assorted veggies, crostina, pesto dip, prosciutto ham, nuts, peppers, cheeses. Yum!
One of my favorites is called "Black, Sticky Gingerbread" from the cookbook, "In the Sweet Kitchen." Phenomenal book. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThis year I'm going to a cookie swap and I'm trying a new recipe. The chocolate and toffee chip cookie recipe from the Betty Crocker Baking cookbook looks amazing. The cookies bake up huge, but thin & crisp. And, they're filled with toffee chips and mini chocolate chips. Oh, yum. I'm drooling thinking about it. It's not exactly a holiday recipe, but that's ok. It's yummy!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to enter! I love the owls!
My favorite is an appetizer my mother in law makes, with monterey jack cheese, broken shrimp, black olives and ranch dressing in wonton wrappers. Email me if you want the recipe! It looks similar to this one:

I can smell Alexander Henry a mile away! Love it love it. My favorite goodies to take to party are snowballs.
ReplyDeleteCut banana into 1" chunks. Dip in lemon juice. Dip into sour cream, coat well. Roll in sweetened coconut. Put in fridge to firm up. Serve in a large crystal bowl with toothpicks to spear the snowballs. They will disappear. Promise.
I love pumkin pie, it is a favorite of everyone and even diabetics can eat it without problems usually. A safe bet all around.
ReplyDelete
