What's for Dinner?
Random drawing later tonight.
What's for dinner? The first thing that came to my mind was the old commercial for beef . . . but what I'm really gonna have for dinner is Turkey! Because we didn't get to have one for Thanksgiving, so I cooked one up tonight and we are going to eat it tomorrow! (Oh, the joys of single-mommyhood!)
ReplyDeleteFor dinner I would love to have pizza but my dad don't like pizza so sticking to the usual rice.
ReplyDeleteOne son will have fish, the other will have the Shepherds Pie. I will make a salad. The husband will have dinner at work.
ReplyDeleteWhat's for dinner? I wish I knew... Heavy snowfall and mayhem this morning. I will walk to the supermarket in my walkingboots and see what is fresh and available.. it will be a surprise!
ReplyDeleteAs would be christmas magic. I haven't seen it before but it also looks yum!
We had BBQ chicken bread rolls at my grandmothers house after we helped her put her xmas tree up- I think the kids made more work than help- but it's all about the spirit of xmas, right? LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat's for dinner. Fish! Probably some Cod fish ( I'm portuguese) ! Lol!
ReplyDeleteThis all depends on if a happy little house elf cleans the kitchen or not. Clean = something delicious and wonderful. Not = a bowl of cereal (luckily, my husband loves cereal and is smart enough to not complain :)
ReplyDeletePrawns and chicken for dinner!
ReplyDeleteSausages and mash for dinner with yummy onion gravy
ReplyDeleteDinner tonight is Chicken and Mushroom risotto with a green garden salad..yum!
ReplyDeleteBetter go make it and think about what I'll do with a little Christmas Magic...

It's 7:10am here, so dinner is hardly on the mind, yet. I will take a crack at it for you, though... Hmmm perhaps some pork tenderloin? Mashed potatoes? Sounds like I may have something brewing afterall! :o)
ReplyDeleteMost Likely we will have Jambalaya for dinner. My kids want Stromboli, but I don't have the ingredients for that. We will have to wait for that till I have a chance to drive into town for reasonably priced groceries.
ReplyDeleteProbably pizza squeezed in between all the activities planned for tonight! Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a Burger King night :) It is only 7:30 and it already feels like that kind of a day :)
ReplyDeleteYay, tonight I don't cook. Every week on Thursday we have friends that we see. One week they come here and I cook the next we go to their house and they cook. So... their house is for dinner LOL
ReplyDeleteLove Pioneer Woman - but I have bad kitchen envy if I look at books like this. Dinner here is probably leftover macaroni and cheese, and whatever I can manage to get a sick child to eat.
ReplyDeleteTonight I don't cook. It's just the 2 of us at night and tonight hubby has supper with the guys then a meeting. I am having cereal. With a bananna and Diet Pepsi. Then sewing some more.
ReplyDeleteDinner will be hearty chicken soup with some fresh bread out of the bread machine. It's cold and snowing here, so we need comfort and carbs!!
ReplyDeleteAh, Hungarian Goulosh over noodles and a green salad with a French dijon dressing. I'll throw some brown and serve rolls in the oven as well. Nothing great.
ReplyDeleteDinner for us is going to be some veggie soup possibly with grilled cheese. The magazines look very interesting and I am glad you are offering one for a lucky reader!
ReplyDeleteI'm usually not the cook in our house. My husband does most of the cooking ♥ I'm not sure what's on the menu for tonight but i'm sure it will be good!

ReplyDeleteDinner tonight is POT LUCK....it's a quilt guild Christmas party....can't wait....everything is soooooo goooooood!!!! I would love to be the lucky winner. It would put a smile on my face if the charms packs found their way to my mailbox. Thanks for the chance!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFor the evening meal... Pork cutlets with White gravy, mashed potatoes, corn and biscuits! That's what's for Dinner tonight! Yum!
ReplyDeleteStir fry!
ReplyDeleteDinner was supposed to be "ham" (really last Thursday's turkey legs) and beans, but *someone* who is in charge of dishes (hmm, hubby??) didn't get the crockpot washed from the other day (ick!), so I couldn't throw it together to simmer away while I went to the office. grumble, grumble, grumble...
ReplyDeleteSo, dinner tonight? Most likely will be whatever pasta happens to be on the shelf (I think maybe small shells? I don't think we have any of the long skinny variety) combined with a jar of some "just in case we didn't plan for dinner" spaghetti sauce (which by the way, I normally make my own sauce, but when it's on sale for $1 at the store I like to have one on hand). And whatever fresh veggies are in the fridge -- we always have veggies. And homemade bread, which I did have time to throw into the machine last night to bake, creating lovely visions of yummy baked goods in all our dreams while we slept.
Pretty sad, really. Especially since we are meticulous about planning our every meal for the week on grocery day and then (usually) only getting what's on the grocery list. Good thing we have a few "pantry meals" for days like this.

ReplyDeleteWhat's for dinner??? My kids (the 3 grown up ones still living at home) have learned not to ask that question. Instead, they say, very politely, "Mom, do you have any plans for dinner?" That explains the fact they have survived this long. And yes, I do have plans - spaghetti and meatballs!
ReplyDeleteDinner... I was grateful that I got some breakfast down! Sick... But all the other stuff everyone is having... YUM! Meatloaf with homemade BBQ sauce? Or stir-fry... something simple!
