Hand Sewing Project

Here is my newest "go-to" hand project.

Now I can sit and watch my favorite Christmas shows
AND be so productive!
I found it at Penny's.
Isn't she smart?!!
I'm loving it.
Since taking this picture I've made 2 more.
Love the pin cushion/caddy idea!

In case you need another "go-to" Christmas present for your favorite sewing enthusiast,
this is a keeper!

  2. It's adorable! I have never hand sewn, so I don't even know if there's a technique! =) I'm off to take a look at Penny's! =)

  3. I actually printed this tut out to do in the car over Christmas. Yours turned out great, were they hard?

  4. It wasn't hard. But sometimes the elongated hexagons don't match up just perfect, but after 4 of them, I've realized that it's okay. It all works out once it's stuffed. Also, don't overstuff. I did on a couple of them and they get a little wacky.

It's really fun and I love them!

  5. That is a nice idea for a pin cushion and scissor holder.

  7. I've done this one, too! I love it and it was pretty simple. I am just waiting to stuff it. I have already started using the caddy part though. Works great! I am so glad you posted your pictures....reminded me I need to get mine done! Yours are gorgeous. I think these would make perfect gifts for sewing friends. :)

  12. I love it! Now if only I had a friend who knew how to sew to make me one :) (I am the sewing enthusiast in my bunch). Maybe I will get ambitious and make myself a Christmas present.
