Ghastlie Blog Hop

Update: Congrats to
Quilter in the Gap #18, you won the bag!
And I sent in Loralynn's name #134 last night
and she won!
You won a gift certificate from Quilt Taffy!!

Welcome, welcome to our
Ghastlie Blog Hop Stop!
I know,
I know,
you just want to get to the pictures.
Me too.

This is my new favorite little bag pattern,
Peek-a-Boo Bag
by Sweet Treasures.
It has a clear section in the middle so you can see inside.
There's even a little Prudence zipper tab
(look close on the left).

My first experience with the Ghastlies was as my
Alexander Henry rep pulled out this giant fabric card, he opened it
& there she was.
The little hammer girl
&
and all her ghastly friends.

They made me smile
all
day
long.

~
I wanted to keep the scenes fairly intact,
so here is Kitchen Window out of
Elizabeth Hartman's
The Practical Guide to Patchwork.

Let's look at it again. :)
And then for the little tormentors in your life.
A
Ghastlie
playset.

Just think someday they'll say ...
"Remember when we went to Grandma's and played
w/ those mean, scary dolls."

And when the kids aren't playing,
they double as pincushions.

With taffy pins,
of course.
(pins made by me)
I just found her with
taffy poked in her eyes.
Actually shocked me.
Who would dare to do that?
(I got a confession; it was my 5 year old.)
~

Thank you

  4. WOW! Yes I'd love some Ghastlie goodness in either gift cert. or peek-a-boo form. I can' imagine who in the world would stick pins in a Ghastlies eyes? Maybe the little girl with hammer? I think she'd get blamed a lot. Beautiful quilt, I just can't get enough of the Ghastlies. Thanks for participating in this wonderful hop and for the generous giveaway. ;-> Toni Anne
