Craft Taffy Retreat - Part 1

Last week was the
Craft Taffy Retreat
in gorgeous McCall, Idaho!

A few days to craft and sew
to your heart's content.

We stayed in a beautiful lodge.
And had lots to get ready
 before everyone arrived.

Transformed half of it into
a sewing and crafting area.

Lots of sun and light streaming in.
It was chilly outside but
toasty warm inside.

Everyone had a spot to work.

This is Stacey
(on the left).

I have known her for 10+ years.
We've had a lot of adventures together.
Her husband and mine
helped transport,
and set up the heavy stuff.

Someone at the retreat said,
"You two must have really
 supportive husbands."
Yes, we do.

Stacey did the menu planning and cooking,
and truly knocked it out of the park.

Three delicious sit-down meals a day.
Stacey, you are amazing!
Thank You!

My sister, Des, and LeAnn
showed up early to help.

They set up cutting areas,
ironing spots,
and a little store in the heated garage.

The rooms are ready.

Just waiting
for everyone to arrive.

To be continued....

  4. ahhh. So perfect. I wish I was still there! Only problem is, as I told mom on the drive back; if we ever do go to anyone else's retreat they won't possibly live up to what you gave as our first impression of a retreat. You really set the bar HIGH!
Thanks again so very much. :-)

  11. It was a totally awesome event. I agree Des - Corrie knocked it out of the park and Stacey - words can't describe how wonderful the food was! And of course Des kept the fun meter running the whole time we were there. Jen is right - the bar has been set very high! And thank you Madame Samm for your generous donations - adorable fabric even though I didn't win! (and yes I am the Ramona you helped with my blog - small world!!)

  13. Oh my goodness gracious!!! Was this the best crafting retreat ever or what?! Corrie did an amazing job planning and putting it together and I am sure LeAnn and Des added a lot of touches to it as well. Stacey is an amazing cook . . . I wanted to bring her home with me, but she refused to get in my suitcase! I was able to get a lot accomplished and so enjoyed the great company and being pampered! The lodge was amazing with great beds and nice bathrooms. I loved that the floors were made from reclaimed wood and came with an "old house creak" . . . made me feel at home! Hugs & Blessings to each of you!
