Ready or not.
It's here.
My little brunette baby
grew
and
she grew
into a tiny
spitfire blond.
Blue eyes, beautiful straight hair
that I could comb forever, and
she never fussed when I pulled too hard.
(yeah, that's a dig at my oldest :)
She's always been so dependable,
honest, and on the ball.
She's witty and
fun to be with.
She's always been so kind and
complimentary to me.
When shopping for clothes,
she is always so nice about how items look on me.
I will forever appreciate her tact.
I know she's prepared for life
and ready to go on.
Does this ever get easier,
watching your children
walk out the door?
We've had a really sweet week
with wedding receptions,
Memorial Day potluck,
and her graduation.
It's so good to be with family.
We made some yummy
grad caps for everyone.
This young woman
is ready to fly.
We love her and are
so excited for her
future!
Well done, honey.
A beautiful post. xx

And, I'm sorry, but I really don't think it gets any easier...it's so hard to see them go, but so nice that they are ready to make a difference in this world. Your sweet Lane will do exactly that!

ReplyDeleteMy youngest graduated too. My only boy. I'd be tickled pink if he landed someone as lovely as your daughter. I am sure she's good inside as well as she is beautiful outside.
