In the Nick of Time

When my oldest went to college, I wanted her to have a little Christmas countdown calendar
and never quite got around to it.

It's her 3rd year in college and
now her sister is there too,
so it needed to happen.

And when you have a fun idea,
you want others to join in,
right??

So we had a little Countdown Calendar party.

I printed out numbers.

Got the sewing machines out.

You take a rectangle - these are 3"x4".
They are pretty small.
You can do any size.
If you want bigger, do a 5"x6" rectangle.
Glue stick the short side and roll into a cylinder
(looks like a toilet paper tube).
Pinch one end and sew across then fill.

I put in a candy and a little "love" note.
Something I love about her.

Then pinch the other end
the opposite way and sew it shut.
(Found new ones to make for the holidays!)

The white frames are from Silhouette,
but one gal found five frames
at a thrift store for $1.35 each
 and used baker's twine,
turned out pretty cute.
