O my Luve's like a red, red rose
That's newly sprung in June:
O my Luve's like the melodie
That's sweetly play'd in tune!
As fair thou art, my bonnie lass,
So deep in love am I:
And I will love thee still, my dear,
Till a' the seas gang dry:
Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear,
And the rocks melt with the sun;
I will luve thee still my dear,
When the sands of life shall run.
And fare thee weel, my only Luve,
And fare thee weel a while!
And I will come again , my Luve,
Tho' it were ten thousand mile.

ReplyDeleteSo our closest nice supermarket, not Walmart, is about 30 minutes away near my son's karate class. Sometimes my husband will stop and pick up groceries on the way home for me and he knew I liked this fruit mix so he'd always get it for me. EXCEPT for the fact that he always bought the wrong one. I like the strawberries (see my red connection here), kiwi & pineapple mix and he kept buying the fruit salad where they put a bunch of out-of-season melon chunks in the bottom to take up space. When I finally told him he turned red (see again??) and got mad that I hadn't told him before. But I thought it was so sweet that he was getting it for me I didn't want to hurt his feelings. Now he asks EVERY.SINGLE.TIME which kind I like. :)
ReplyDeleteI love how you're working the red into it. lol Sweet husband.

ReplyDeleteWe've lived in our house since it was built in 2002 and every year until just 3 years ago there was a male cardinal who'd come to our laundry room window and peck. Other times he'd just sit and watch me folding the laundry. When he was feeling more territorial he'd fly around to the front of the house and into our covered porch to peck at the window above our front door. Sometimes I'd have to open the door and ask him to stop. It did get to be a bit much at times. Off he'd go to the preserve; our house abuts one on the side and faces another across the street. One summer 3 years ago, things got quiet, we miss his cheerful red and the way he "protected" our house. Others have taken his place but none are as engaging as he was.
