D & E, done. Check.
They're twins, Dash and Ed. You can only tell them apart by their tails. Dashwood's is green and Edward's is black.
If I could dedicate these elephants to anyone, it would be Jane Austen. Dashwood, is for sisters Elinor and Marianne. And Edward is for Edward Farrars. With a teeny, tiny, little shout out to my Edward Cullen. :) p.s. This fabric is almost gone. It's even on sale right now. I just love it. I can't get enough of it. I want to buy it all. Save me from myself. My husband would thank you.
A sewer after my own heart!!! I'm completely addicted to anything Jane Austen! I must say, that although Dashwood is a perfectly acceptable name, I wouldn't be forthcoming if I didn't admit to adoring the name Edward. There's just something gentleman-like about that name in particular. And if you say it over and over in an English accent, you almost have to be sitting at a writing desk, in a pretty muslin dress complete with ribbons and a sigh... ;-) I'm totally loving my Line by Line quilt. I nearly finished the top yesterday... and I LOVE it! If they have Ava Rose Jelly Rolls, get some in the shop! and I lay claim to first dibs! LOL! Thanks for all of your help Corrie!
ReplyDeleteDes, I LOVE these elephants! I too love Jane Austin and anything remotely connected with her and her books. I can't wait to see what "Mr. Darcy" will look like as an elephant or other alphabet animal. Only you could make it work out. Missing the English country side! I wish I were there!
ReplyDeleteOk these are so darling. The fabric is really cute. I must say naming them is great. I'll have to give that some thought for mine! Thanks agin. Love the elephants.
ReplyDeleteVery cute twins you have there, Des!
ReplyDeleteHolly - what is a line by line quilt? did I miss that pattern? Going to the store to look now. :D
Oh Cheryl, You're the best advertisement anywhere! You make me smile. :)
ReplyDeleteEdward & Dashwood are charming, love that fabric too! I'll go pet it for you.
ReplyDeleteHey Cheryl & Holly,
Hmmm, I just tried finding the Line by Line pattern in the store, it's by Busy Bee, you have to put that in there, it helps.
It's a fun jelly roll pattern. Holly did one out of Simplicity, I bet it's pretty. (I'd love to see a picture.) Ava Rose, they don't offer jelly rolls, but we will have 5" charm squares. Let me know if you're interested in them. Thanks! Corrie
You elephants are so charming. I love them. I have elephants on my blog today too. Must be a day for cute little elephants.
ReplyDeleteAnnette! Those elephants are so cute. Everyone go check it out. The embroidery patterns are a free download. All the info is on Annette's blog. CUTE!
