Update: WINNER CHOSEN, #33 This Mama's Hood Congrats! Send Corrie your mailing address and your pick. Do you still want Nest???!!! Super cute!! Thanks everyone. See you next Thursday!
No, we're NOT the Pioneer Woman. There will be no KitchenAid giveaway here on Taffy Talk. But look on the bright side.....your odds will be slightly better than the 18,715 comments Ree gets.
Now that we have that out of the way........Whoa, Nelly....Moda sent a little bit of everything this week. We are charmed and dangerous! Hmm...I wonder if my brilliant mind just made that up, or did I read it somewhere? Let's go with my outstanding cerebral cortex for the time being. I'm sure you'll let me know otherwise. :)
Today's giveaway is a reader's choice! Pick a charm pack, any charm pack.
Leave a comment telling us which charm pack you'd pick and why. I'll start.
I would like the charm pack of 1974 because that was a very good year for me. I was the star player on my Lassie League team. I got the coolest scar on my right knee when Corrie Dawn pushed me off the bed with the purple bedspead onto the broken head raggedy ann night light. I'm not bitter and I have the scar tissue to show for it. I was in love with John Boy and David Cassidy. And last but certainly not least ~ABBA 1974 Waterloo~ I love you, 1974.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteI would love the charm pack of Charisma. The reason is simple. I lived in New Zealand during the years when one of our greatest Olympian medal winners Mark Todd, was riding his lovely little horse, Charisma. He was a wonderful horse who is now enjoying retirement but still loved by all of New Zealand.
Thank you.
Cheers, Cynthia
love the title of your post, made me laugh!
ReplyDeleteI would love the charm pack of Nest. I am working on a tumbler quilt and need more fabrics for it and these would just be PERFECT.
YES another quilt would almost be done with these squares :)
thanks
Kathie
I think I'd like the Oh My Dog to make a lap quilt for my 15 year old Maltese who have been with me pretty much since my hubby and I got married. She's getting up there in age and sleeps almost all day and the original quilt I made her is getting a little worn. :)
ReplyDeleteI would love the 1974 charm pack, I am a 70's child 72 to be exact I just loe the era I dont know why but I do.
ReplyDeleteI would choose the "Fabulous Fall" charm pack. The kids are back in school, the leaves are starting to turn and morning temps are in the low 40's...sounds like a good reason to make a fall quilt!
ReplyDeleteI will pick....Fabulous Fall!!!! I love that fabric line and Fall is my favorite time of the year. I find it very relaxing, sitting on the porch watching the leaves fall, the horses running and playing more because it is starting to cool down, having to gather the firewood to get ready for Winter. I just love it!!!
ReplyDeleteKristie
I would pick Oh My Dog, for two reasons, one because my dog is the best, he has helped through some real tough times in the last two years, and two because I could use those squares for a really happy Project Linus quilt.

How are we suppose to decide between all those yummy charms? I love them all! closing my eyes and choosing one i come up with butterfly fling....but would LOVE any of them! :o)
ReplyDeletebtw i am glad you aren't PW! :o)
OooooHHHHH I don't know I don't know! I think I would pick the dog one because my son and his wife just got a dog, and...or maybe the fall one, because it's almost here...or maybe the Nest because it's so adorable...or maybe 1974 because I love the colors...oh, maybe you shouldn't pick me because I couldn't decide!! Or maybe you should...
ReplyDeleteOh I would love the Nest charm pack. I am redoing my guest room to something more contemporary and this would just be a perfect grouping to serve as the inspiration in a new quilt.
ReplyDeleteOk, so if I were to win I would pick Charisma. There is just something about it that calls to me. I really wants me to make it into a quilt. It is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Natalie
I would have to pick the charm pack Oh My Dog! It is so cute and my 2 year daughter is a dog lover. She would be thrilled to have a new blankie made out of these charms.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in the Charisma charm pack.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy checking out your blog!
Have a great day,
Teri
I LOVE Cotton Blossoms! I think you said it best when saying that the fabrics "blend trendy with traditional"! Just love it! I'd use this to make a table runner I've been wanting to try.
ReplyDeleteCotton Blossoms! It's traditional, yet fun! I love the blues and oranges in it especially! Also, I've been looking at it on-line for a while!
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck between 1974 and Cotton Blossoms. I'd have to do eeny meeny miny mo. 1974 was a good year for me....I never had to worry about what I looked like in a swimsuit because lets face it, chubby legs are actually cute on a 3 year old! But I love all the browns and blues in cotton blossoms. Of course, if I won this, I'd have to drive out and have Corrie show me what to make. The only quilting I have ever actually started was when Corrie talked me into a group that traded quilt squares. That is still unfinished by the way. But I do love fun fabrics so...PICK ME!!
ReplyDeleteI like the cotton blossoms. Guess I just like flowers. And with fall approaching I like to think of flowers lasting all winter. Not looking forward to winter. Linda Gerig
ReplyDeleteI would love to win the charm pack of Cotton Blossoms, for no other reason than it's PURTY! (You see, every last bit of my creativity goes into quilting, not writing!)
ReplyDeleteWould love the Fabulous Fall one the most, simply because autumn is my favorite season, my house is full of leaf patterns and I just adore all the FABULOUS FALL colors!
ReplyDeleteI like the 1974 charm pack. I can't really say why I like 1974, since I wasn't even born then, but the fabric is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Rachel

Ditto on the 1974, I turned 1 that year! Love those colors and patterns, I have several photos of my parents wearing clothes during the 70's that look similar to the charm pack, love the waterloo video, my 5 year old said "what's that?" HA
ReplyDeleteI would choose the Fabulous Fall pack because there is a quilt I want to do in those colors. What better reason than that! Have a great day girls!
ReplyDeleteHmmmmm how could I possible pick before I know if I have won? That would be like spending the powerball money before I know if I have the winning ticket.
ReplyDeleteI'm torn between 1974 and Nest. Unlike Des, 1974 was not that great a year for me -- hello, I was 13, knee deep in puberty and early teen angst. But, I really like the 1974 fabric line. Nest -- oh my, how I love Nest. Birds, Tula Pink, birds, geometrics, birds..... Hmmmmm (like I'm really going to win!)
ReplyDeleteLove the charm pack of Nest-such cute fabric!! I think I would work on a quilt with it!!
ReplyDeleteI would love the Nest charm pack because after of month of opening my wallet and spending money hand over fist for back to school stuff, I want something for ME, ME, ME :-)
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the Charisma pack because of the colors and patterns! Very nice! Thanks!
ReplyDeletebunnybx at gmail . com
I'd choose the charm pack Nest. so pretty and I think I could use it for some projects for my girls
ReplyDeleteI think I would choose Fabulous Fall. With four children I am finding most of my fabric is for them. I need some grown up colors!
ReplyDeleteWould have to be Butterfly Fling. Such bright and vibrant colours, so no matter that Autumn and Winter are just around the corner, the colours in this fabric line would brighten up any home.
ReplyDeleteI would absolutely have to choose the butterfly fling because it is so bright and colorful....happy you might say! Oh, and I have two little girls that would love a quilt made from them.
ReplyDeleteMichelle
I'd pick cotton blossoms cause I need to make my sis-in-law in Texas a lap quilt for Christmas and those colors are perfect for her house. Course, if I was a selfish type person, I'd pick 1974 cause that was my freshman year of high school and the year I had my very first kiss from a boy!! Woo-hoo! Although looking back on it now, it wasn't much of a kiss and he wasn't much of a boyfriend either. Hmm, now I'm embarrassed.
ReplyDeleteI would love the charm pack of nest. I am learning how to sew (I have made a few of those fabric baskets you were giving away a few weeks ago) and using some of my newfound craftiness to feather my own nest.
ReplyDelete"Ain't it sad..." there's ABBA for you. I remember the Raggedy Ann nightlight not having a head. You'll have to show me your scar.
ReplyDeleteWell, I would pick Farmer's Market from yesterday, but that's not part of the giveaway :-). Second choice - Fabulous Fall, it's really pretty.
ARGH! This is not easy! Like picking your 'favorite' child :0 This is like "Sophie's Choice", heart wrenching. Well I have Cotton Blossom yardage on the way, I want to make a 1974 quilt from the Moda site and Nest-I have been eyeing since I first saw previews. Since I have no plans in the works but could easily come up with something (can you say Speedy Baby 2?). I haven't gotten a good glimpse of Charisma yet to determine true colors but I think I am going to like that one as well....hmmmmm, okay NEST it is.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the video. :D What was the occasion for the bouquet of flowers?
Okay, I would definately choose Cottom Blossom. I was able to purchase some of the line back in June on a shop hop. I have cut out a quilt top and have been despirately waiting for the line to come in to stores so that I can make the borders. This line of fabric is beautiful and sooths my soul. Can't wait to finish my quilt.
ReplyDeleteI would choose cotton blossoms! I love the prints and the colors! I've been stalking the quilt stores waiting for it to come! I want yards and yards of it because it is just so me!
ReplyDeleteI would love the 1974 charm pack. Those colors make me think of summer and fall and I've been wanting to make a fabric banner for fall to hang on my mantle. Those colors from that line would be awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love the charm pack of 1974! Love, love, love the colors! My husband was born in '74. Though I'm torn because Oh My Dog is so cute and would make such a cute blanket for my daughter! Either one is great, just pick me! Today is my birthday, this would be a lovely present.
ReplyDeleteI would pick Charmisma. I've been wanting to make a tiered skirt from charms for a back to school skirt for my daughter - and wouldn't these work great?!
ReplyDeleteIs there anything you can't find on You Tube love it. I would pick either 1974 because I was 12yo and
ReplyDeletemy mother let me order seventeen magazine, I got new Hash Jeans for Jr High, which I loved, Abba was also one of my favs, and who wasn't in love with David Cassidy. Nest would also be a choice in honor of the beautiful Birds Nest stadium in Beijing, I loved the olympics.
Well I'm a 1974 girl too. I think that was my prime. I was a junior in high school and I thought I was pretty hot. Was is the operative word here WAS. In 1974 my parents moved from PA to Utah and I spent my senior year at a different school. But it was ok. I had a good time.
ReplyDeleteI would be delighted to win the 1974 charm pack. I was twelve years old, and that was when life was carefree and we just worried about what happened from day to day. That was a wonderful year of my life and if I would win this charm pack, this would be another wonderful year!
ReplyDelete-Jill
That's a really tough choice! I was stuck between Butterfly Fling and Fabulous Fall, but since Fabulous Fall has my favorite colors AND butterflies, I'll go with that one. Thanks for another wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThey are all great, but I think I would choose Charisma. The colors are just wonderful.
ReplyDeleteAAHHH! Just when I think I am content with what I've got, I skip on over to your gem of a blog and immediately I WANT MORE, MORE, MORE! OK...1974 was a good year for my parents, being the year that I came into their lives. However, I sure do like to NEST. So, for me it's all about the birds!! Great giveaway ladies!!
ReplyDeleteNatalie :)
oh boy! i love them all. but i think i would probably pick 1974 also. this was a good year for me because it was during that year that my parents were dating, falling in love and dreaming of having a family of their own someday. where would i be if it wasn't for young love in 1974? i love the bright colors and graphic pop of the patterns. oh i hope I win!
ReplyDeleteHello! I would pick the Nest charm pack, as I am 5 weeks away from my second child, and am totally in "NESTing MODA", or nesting mode if you prefer. Ha. I also love the colors and think they would be a wonderful addition to any one of my current projects (baby quilts included!) Thanks, Rose
ReplyDeletei'd choose charisma. it goes perfectly with Posh, which i still have yardage for a still un-started quilt.
ReplyDeletedoki
I love the nest. I'm sure I could do something really fun with it.
ReplyDeleteI would pick the Charisma charm pack!! I just bought one of your quilt patterns to make for my girlfriend and these colors would be perfect for it. It matches the colors in her family room.
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch!!
Celeste
I just love coming to visit Quilt Taffy!! I would pick the Butterfly Fling for my granddaughter! She would love the bright beautiful colors! Thanks for your fun site and the giveaways.

I would love the Cotton Blossoms or 1774. I love the colors in Cotton Blossoms. I've been looking forward to this fabric coming out since spring!
ReplyDeleteI like 1774 because I love to have fabric for each era.
I love the patterns in Cotton blossom! The colors are definitely me and blend together so well - Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love Cotton Blossoms because my husband's grandfather was an overseer on a cotton plantation in Texas. I think it would be a great tribute. Mostly, I really love this line!
ReplyDeleteI would love to get my hands on the Charm Square Pack of Nest from Tula Pink for Moda Fabrics!! The vibrant color combinations and designs are absolutely gorgeous. I love the different shapes and motifs used. It's hard to get interesting designs at local stores, so this charm pack would be a real treat! I guess I'm also in the 'nesting' phase of my life with our first baby due this coming October. Thanks for sharing these wonderful charms. :)

I would vote for Cotton Blossoms because it reminds me of Charleston SC where I fell in love with my husband and was proposed to. We haven't been back in years, but looking at this set reminds me of that beautiful city.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to agree with you, Des. 1974 would be the pick for me. I wasn't around quite yet, but I love that style.
ReplyDeletespondah[at]aol[dot]com
I love, love, love charm packs! I can't get enough charm packs! I would love the Fabulous Fall as I love, love, love fall weather! I am just a loving person!
ReplyDeleteWhee! Another giveaway. I love them.
ReplyDeleteTough pick, but I think Charisma would be my first choice. Definitely would fit into my stash.
I went to a David Cassidy concert! Oh the memories. "I think I love you. . ."
For me it would have to be Fabulous Fall...I love this time of year with all the lovely colours...very inspiring!
ReplyDeleteHi! I just bought some fabric from your ebay store and clicked on your blog link. Then i realized I've been here before and visit often. How I managed to miss this giveaway is beyond me. I would love to get the Nest charm pack. The colors and patterns define my developing sense of style. I am in the process of making Christmas gifts for my family and this pack would be perfect to add to a funky and retro quilt idea I have floating in my head for my niece. Thanks!!
