Ready to harvest....Farmer's Market! GIVEAWAY

A little of Sandi Henderson's Farmer's Market has trickled in....more is coming. It's very sweet, yet vibrant & fun.

Fell in love with it when Sandi had it plastered all over her walls in her Quilt Market Booth. So pretty! Don't you just want to wallpaper with it? We're offering 2 prizes today~ 1/2 yard pieces of this beautiful pink. So your odds are doubled today! Just leave a comment about pink. What does that mean? I don't know.....you tell me. :) We'll be picking 2 winners randomly this evening. Good Luck!
P.S. Some of Heather Bailey's Bijoux arrived!

  4. Nana was pink. From as far back as I can remember my grandmother embodied pink. She was an Avon lady and had many pink bottles of bubbles and perfume in her home. At one point she even lived in a pink apartment building. My favorite shade is butter pink. A soft pink with a yellow undertone.

  5. Not that I really NEED one more piece of fabric at the moment.. but i can't pass this one up.. that line is terrific!

Pink.. that is what you do to the edges of the seams with those zig-zag or scalloped scissors so they don't fray.

  7. Pink - That is my daughter. When she was little, we were surrounded by pink....pillows,toys and even the first quilt that I made for her was pink! She has now lost her love for the colour, but I still have it. And I love this fabric.

  8. Pink reminds me of Easter Sunday. Yeah, I know, not the usual association, but this year ALL of the decoration for Easter Sunday Dinner was pink. I even sewed a new Tablecloth because I didn't have a pink one at hand. Had to use an old bedcover as there was no other pink fabric in the house.

  22. When I found out I was pregnant 5 1/2 years ago with a girl I dreaded pink, I did not like pink I had wanted a boy/blue....after she arrived healthy and looking just like her daddy, I started to warm up to pink......6 months after my daughter was born my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and we all know that the pink ribbon is in support of those battling and those who have battled breast cancer....well know I am drawn to pink, it is my daughters FAV color and whenever I see a pink ribbon I think of my dear mother who is now a SURVIVOR! I am proud of PINK! When my hubbie and I got married 4 years ago (yeah we did things a little backwards ;)) instead of "something blue" I wore a pink ribbon over my heart hidden by part of my dress in honor of my mom and daughter. Those two people are why I like pink.

  25. Sandy is very talented. I love Farmer's Market and have wanted to get my hands on some. Pink - hmm pink. I will tell you several years ago my daughters and I painted the family room a bubble gum pink. We thought it was great. It was awful. AWFUL. People would make fun of my husband because of it. But with 8 women in the house had given up at that point. Anyway we got to our senses and have since repainted the family room a more neutral color. Now we decorate with punches of pink here and there. I like pink. But not as much as before we painted the family room that color. It is a good accent color but I think as a theme for a room that is tough. Now for quilts - LOVE pink for some quilts. Sandy's fabric has a balance of pink with other colors. I like that. So what I'm getting at is that pink needs to be balanced.

  37. This line is beautiful!

Pink ... is a pale red color that was first recorded in the 17th century to describe the pale red flowers of pinks, flowering plants in the genus Dianthus. This color stands for beauty, grace and goodness.
