I can't get Marsha to sew on a button let alone DESIGN and sew a skirt. Why doesn't she just take a stake and stick it in my heart! But if I whine and cry she will humor me with a stint in the kitchen. Corrie and I were raised on this fine cookbook. It brings back very fond memories of surprising my mom with dinner when she would come home from work. Archimedes' Meat Loaf was a favorite with a side of Seven Dwarfs' Cupcakes. No time like the present to pass on this fine family tradition. I had forgotten the simplicity of ground meat, egg, bread crumbs, ketchup and salt. No horseradish, no Worcestershire. Can't go wrong with the advice of a wise Owl.
The whole meal was homegrown. T-bone (the cow) has seen better days. :)

I love meatloaf, and Mickey. I need that book.
ReplyDelete. . .off to ebay to look. . .
good job Mom. she's adorable. & she knows how to make a most delicious meal. yumm. but i spy room on that plate for greens. one day meat & potatoes. the next day a rainbow of vegetables.
ReplyDeleteWay to go! My kids would LOVE that cookbook! I'm not a big meatloaf fan, but I would definately partake if made by little hands!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter still makes our meatloaf sometimes. And she's 24. What good skills to teach in a fun way.
ReplyDeleteSo some can cook and some can sew. I think it is better that she cooks while YOU sew! Great looking meatloaf your cute daughter has there! Homegrown meal - even better.
ReplyDeleteMy kids like to make Wonderland Pancakes & Goofy's Banana Milk Shake. It's a cute cookbook. I gave our's to Des & found one for me on eBay--gotta love that. Des, where are you? I can't find THE carmel popcorn recipe.
ReplyDeleteMarsha's meatloaf looks fantastic! Don't give up on her in the sewing department yet. My mom thought I was a lost sewing cause until I had a baby of my own to sew for. I still refuse to crochet though ;o).
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about that cookbook! I loved it so much as a kid. Way to go on encouraging the girl to cook! I need to see if I can find that book for my kiddos.
ReplyDeleteOoh, come visit me and bring Marsha and the cookbook! Maybe she can teach me a few tricks! :)
