I want to make this JUST so I can put MY cake stands in front of it. I love a good cake stand. Right, shelto? Right.
Love those 2 colorway photo shoots! I'll take the Black and Red.
Christmas Geese, I love you. Let me fly away with you.
Well, this is embarassing. When did they come to my house and take this picture of my boudoir? An open door is an open invitation, I guess. Was that Socrates? Mark Twain? Yoda?? No, Yoda would have said, "Open invitation an open door is" I love Yoda. That's why I painted my bedroom walls this yummy light sage-y brown green. THAT was our stroll through the December APQ issue. There is SEW much more.
And don't forget, We ship internationally!
Walking adventure is over.
Here is the cover picture of the new and latest Quarterly Quilt Wonder from Better Homes & Garden

YES, there is a giveaway. A resounding YES.
Leave us a comment about Star Wars. :D
I just made that up, can you tell? Corrie will love it. NOT. But I will! And I'm pretty sure CJ will hate it as well. :)
Prize will be your pick of any APQ magazine we've got. WOWSA! Let me go channel my inner Luke Skywalker! Random Drawing later tonight.
International entries will win a pattern of their choice up to $9 value.

ReplyDeleteOkay OKAY!!! Sheesh! I read and I have to say I laughed out loud! Who knew there was a little yoda in you. Your just ever so witty.
ReplyDelete:)Rachel
May the needle be with you! :o)
ReplyDeleteI wish we had such nice quilting mags here in Germany, too.
LOL {!!}, thanks for this funny post. Or, as to say with yoda: Funny this post is. Thoroughly enjoyed it I have...nah, I'm not that good in Yoda-ish ;o)
ReplyDeleteThe AP&Q mag is gorgeous---my friend brought me a copy from a trip to NYC and I love it ;o)
Greetings from Germany,
Julia
Ohh...i love new magazines!!! :)when i was little my favorite toy was an R2 D2 action figure! lol I also had a baby chewy stuffed toy.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child me and my brother had the all of the little action figures and ships! LOVED the movies. I need to make the stockings!
ReplyDeleteThose are some beautiful quilts! Love the magazines, too! Funny you should mention Star Wars. I have seen it so many times with my husband I think I know it by heart. The first week we were married we had a TV, but no cable or antenna. My brother loaned us a Star Wars tape and that was all we watched every night! Can you imagine?!
ReplyDeleteHave a Blessed Day,
Diane
Oh my gosh! Your Star Wars comment gave me a great idea! I have this old Star Wars sheet from when my brother and I were kids - we used to make blanket forts all the time and this sheet was always our roof. He's planning on having kids soon and a baby quilt with patches of the Star Wars sheet would be brilliant! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI want to be a Jedi knight. I will use the force! I love all the pictures and that magazine.
ReplyDeleteMy little boy actually sleeps with his father's original Star Wars quilt. Talk about coming full circle!
ReplyDeleteI think of Star Wars fondly....my brother was WAY into it when we were kids.....Hans Salo? hello first crush on a grown man when I was in the 1st grade....still think that Harrison Ford is HOT and now I am the grown woman, so what does that make him? mmmmmm a good looking hot older man!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great magazine, I loved looking at all the pictures! This is a Star Wars friendly home too : ) I love to hear you talk like Yoda!
ReplyDeleteOMG, Star Wars?!!!! My kids just love Star Wars!!!!! Your blog always makes me smile. Thankyou xxx
ReplyDeleteI wanted to grow up to be Princess Leia. Didn't quite end up that way, but that's ok. I still love Star Wars!
ReplyDeleteI could really use some Christmas gift ideas! As for Star Wars...I liked the first 3 the best, or I guess I should say the first 3 movies to come out.
ReplyDeleteYou clever girl. LOVE cake stands too! And I think I'll have to pass on all those little blocks. I'm more of an instant gratification girl. :) Oh and Star Wars. I think I MAY have seen one when I was a kid, but not since. Although I do know who Yoda is. I need to get out more I know. :D Have a good day ladies!
ReplyDeleteHow funny! This has been Star Wars re-enactment week at our house. The boys watch part of the movie then act it out then re-watch the movie to make sure they did it right then on to more acting and back to the movie, then...
ReplyDeleteOkay yoda - "Do. . . or Do Not.
Do finish the quilt or Do Not even start. . . yet.
Ok I love Star Wars all the movies . We have tons of light sabers and every star wars action figure you can imagine. My favorite Quotes Obi One "you cannot escape your destiny" Princess Leia " You showed up in that, you're braver than I thought" Yoda "Do or do not there is no try" Qui Gon Jinn "The ability to speak doesn't make you intelligent" That is what I tell my kids all the time. And my favorite and love of my life when I was 17, Hans Solo "Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster at your side kid" and in the spirit of Yoda "Cake plates, to many I have not " love ya shelto
ReplyDelete"Slay me you do". Des you are HILARIOUS and you KNEW I would post when you put my little ol' initials in there. I like Star Wars - the REAL Stars Wars. The ORIGINAL Star Wars. You know, the one my kids call #4 in the series. They say 'its your 1 and our 4' **roll your eyes here**. I am not fond of the other 5 movies in the series. Your Yoda green room is lovely and that quilt!! I like red and white and I picked the same colorway table runner as you did. ;)
ReplyDeleteQuilt Taffy (in deep voice), I am your winner. How's that? Did I win?
ReplyDeleteStar Wars? Star Wars? I no NOTHING of Star Wars? Well, wait...I did see one of them, a long time ago in a theater with NO A/C....It was hot, I feel asleep and can't remember a thing...
ReplyDeleteSo, maybe I need a magazine to read???
My husband is the big star wars fan around here. But now you gave me an idea - my oldest daughter would look great as princess leila for halloween.
ReplyDeleteI want that quits and more one! so yes yet again - PICK ME, PICK ME!!!! or should it be Me Pick, Me PIck!!
ReplyDeleteMy oldest son is (and was) a huge Star Wars fan. He is now 35 years old but I have wonderful memories of taking him to the drive-in to see those movies. We had a station wagon filled with kids and popcorn and stayed through thunderstorms with wipers going so he wouldn't miss a minute of it. I just found your blog and thanks for the little trip down memory lane. Thank you I will.
ReplyDelete"Help me Obi-Wan Desobi. You’re my only hope.”
ReplyDelete"Mother, I could take a notebook & watch Star Wars for you & write down all the good quotes," begs Ron. HA, not going to happen. Looking over my shoulder he says, "I would rather be called Shadowman."
I was just trying to 'convince' my 6 yr old son to be a Jedi Knight for Halloween. I have the robe & costume that I made his older brother 10 yrs ago. I would much rather work on a fun project that sew up a costume!! Would love the Quilts & Gifts magazine. Hoping that the force will be with me and increase my odds of winning!
ReplyDeletePaula
