A fun collection for all kinds of projects...
an apron is next on my list.

  1. Remember Clover, Clover, send Barbara right over? Two lines of kids facing each other, holding arms tight in a barrier. And then Barbara would run over and try to break through the barrier. Loved it!!! Probably too rough for kids now days, too bad cause it was fun. Thanks for a great giveaway!!! barbaramdah@gmail.com

  3. So Much CUTE!

Chinese jumprope! Ohmigosh, such a great toy, we could keep them in our jacket pocket and it'd keep at least 3 girls busy per rope. Ah memories.

  4. Oohh, I was a big fan of the flip bars! Only reason to bring a sweater to school and not wear a skirt.

  5. Oh let's see...there was a period where us girls had a sticker collection. I remember sitting in a circle and looking through everyone's books and trading stickers. Also, I don't know if there is a formal name to this, I'm sure there is somewhere....we'd sit in a cirlce with our hands out so we'd clap each other's hands around the circle and sing 'down by the banks.'
Thanks for a fun give away.

  6. Very cute line of fabric!!

I used to play Hopscotch. I liked it so much my friends and I used to go to school an hour earlier so we would have heaps of time to play it before school as well.

  7. I remember the neighbor girl bringing her guitar to school and at recess she would play and we both would sing, Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Were Made For Walking". Is that hilarious or what!?? I can't sing a lick and I look nothing like Nancy Sinatra AND my father would not allow me to have the go-go boots.

  8. Ooooh - I used to get yelled at during recess! I would sneak a book outside and wander over to a quiet shady spot to read.
Apparently, recess wasn't for reading. it was for running and playing. I was a Klutz and fell down a lot and hated to run and jump rope because I just constantly got hurt. So I would sneak a book out and just put up with getting reprimanded for it.

  9. Ah yes many moons ago (too many actually) we used to play marbles
there would be a long line of kids
with their marbles set out in between their legs and you would go along taking shots at their marbles If you missed they got to keep your marbles Things became quite advanced and cardboard tunnels were made....very exciting
    lol............

  70. Cute fabric, love the chalkboard the most! I used to love to write on the chalkboard and I loved to clean it, too.

I used to drape myself over one of those bars, grab my legs behind the knees and twirl around the bar 50 or 70 times, then stop and reverse and go backwards. I started out using a sweater to pad my hipbones but eventually got to where I could do it without a pad. Had to put shorts on, though, under the skirt. We weren't allowed to wear pants at recess unless it was really cold.

  77. Cute fabric! I lived in Vancouver, BC Canada growing up where it rained a lot. There was a covered play area and then an unprotected play area on one side of the shelter for girls only and on the other side for boys only. One little boy loved to chase all the girls and kiss them. So on days it wasn't raining we all stayed on the "girls only" side. Lots of hopscotch too! This is a really cute comment idea for a giveaway. Thanks!
