I'm pretty sure I could sit my behind on this chair for eternity.
Or at least until I tire of this color combo.
She's even sitting with the big boys now.
You've come a long way baby.
Que the waves.
Material for seat: Anna Maria Horner's Drawing Room Home Dec Fabric, Nouveau Bouquet in Gold. Don't ask me why it's called gold, but it is. There is no gold in there. It's red, pink and creamy white.
Spray paint: Rust-Oleam American Accents Aqua

I have got to get some of that paint, they look amazing! I'm headed to the big city this weekend so please tell me I can find it at home depot or something because I know our Wally's doesn't have it.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so grown up sitting at the adult table and she's the best dressed to!
I knew those would look fabulous! and I was right!
ReplyDeleteOh those look so beautiful! I love them!
ReplyDeleteThey are gorgeous, great work!
ReplyDeleteFunny, before I even saw the name of the fabric, I was thinking I wish there was a hint of gold leaf on the filigree part of that chair.
ReplyDeleteHowever, they look awesome as is!
They're great! I prefer a bold look to distressed-on-purpose: I have plenty of distressed furniture already, that's why I'm always eyeballing other people's fabulous furniture makeovers!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely lovely!
ReplyDeleteBridget: yes, you can find at home depot or lowe's. there another brand also that has a great aqua color. it's called 2X something, meaning 2 times the coverage.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your chairs. I knew they would turn out darling. I love that color combination. Now I am going to have to be on the look out for some cute chairs...........
ReplyDeleteNow I want to find a chair to cover in that print!!!! LOVE them so much!
ReplyDeleteNow that I've seen before and after photos...love what you've done!
ReplyDeleteWhen you tire of them you can send them along to me!
ReplyDeleteLOVE them!!! I am seriously coveting those chairs. You did a fabulous job and the red fabric with the aqua paint is perfecto!
ReplyDeleteI am so sick of my black dining room set....would just love to do something fun like this!
Oh my gosh....I love them!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove your chairs! What a great idea! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh I love those! If they ever come up missing I guess you'll know where to look!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love this!
ReplyDeleteLOVE THEM!!!! love the color combo too. I'm going to eventually redo the kitchen table and I want chairs similar to yours (but bigger) to coordinate (but not match) the table. Right now I'm finding it's hard to hunt down chairs to re-upholster.
ReplyDeleteBecause your chairs look small, are they for kids????
Claire: NO, thank goodness. I would hate to waste this yumminess on a child. :O)
ReplyDeleteMy other chairs are just overly large. These are the perfect size. I would love to continue to find different chairs to put around my table so they are not matchy, matchy.
i will follow you to eternity in those chairs. i might be totally smitten with them...you continue to amaze me. i want to be you when i grow up. i'll be over soon to see them.
ReplyDeleteAWESOME
ReplyDeleteWONDERFUL
PURE SWEETNESS.
good job Des!!
It's amazing what a little paint and gorgeous fabric will do for a couple of old chairs. AWESOME!!!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh Des, that's a huge improvment!! that's really funny about the AMH fabric. Maybe they call it gold because it's kind of a fillagree pattern?
ReplyDeleteWOW. You sure know how to make a girl jealous ya know! I love those chairs. I wish I had a (legitimate) reason to start another craft (I have too many that I have deadlines for right now). You are awesome.
ReplyDeleteLoving that color combo, so bright and it makes me smile !
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late, but I wanted to say that those chairs look awesome! Great color combo, and excellent work. :-)
