here's hoping the early bird catches the worm! Fav summer thing- longer days, more light
ReplyDeleteI wish our summers were longer, it always seems like they are so short, and the winter is sooo long! Guess I'll just have to go to Mexico to visit summer while winter is here visiting! Great giveaway ladies, love those scraps!
ReplyDeleteI love summer fruits (who wouldn't!)
ReplyDeleteSummer is wonderful, just like my favorite fabrics, bright, colorful, intense, clear with lots of white and lots of blue and lots of green. Summertime smells nice, too, usually. But don't get too close to the compost pile or the garden fertilizer or the stinky daisies!
ReplyDeleteMy hub is a grad student, so summer means a lighter load for him & more family time!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to enter!
I am really enjoying my summer...busy and fun. Even the heat is okay by me.
ReplyDeleteOh Summer... I could go on and on about summer.... it's what gets me through the winter and what I live fore.
ReplyDeleteSummer is HOT (and I don't mean that in a Paris Hilton sort of way).
ReplyDelete*Love* the longer days in summer, and later wake up times. Seems like I can get so much more done.
ReplyDeleteI love the warm and quiet evenings sitting on the terasse of our gardenhouse during summer. Just feels so nice and relaxing!
ReplyDeleteLove your scraps!
what an awesome assortment! :)
ReplyDeletemy fave thing about summer is, hand-down, being able to hang clothes on the clothesline outside.
thanks!
Love the scraps. Summer means to me; listening to the birdies start the dawn chorus at 4am, walked the dog by 6 am and sunsets at 9pm. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteLove the scraps, summer means it's heating up to 110-112 here and it's hot, hot, hot.. Sorry to say I can't wait until September when it cools down a bit. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteLovely scraps! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteThe best thing about summer - sitting outside, enjoying the long, light, warm evenings.
Summer is the best time in Maine. everything is green and the flowers are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteJoan

ReplyDeleteHugs from France

ReplyDeleteSummer makes me think about tan and how pale I am right now :D
ReplyDeleteI love scraps!

I love summer because of flowers. My garden always looks the best right in the middle of summer(Now) and I wish it could stay that way all year long!
ReplyDeleteMmm summer, is seeing my sheets on the clothesline, sipping my coffee under the gazebo and listening to the hundreds of feathered friends eating at the feeders.Summer is light breezes that kiss my cheek and remind me to lighten up , summer is sharing it with you..
ReplyDeleteblessings ms
I love the long days, the fresh fruit and being able to have my daughter home all day.

Summer..this one in particular is most special because it's the summer before my son is a senior in h.s., becomes a driver on his own, and turns 18. Lots of memories this Summer with my boy.
ReplyDeleteSummer in Nebraska is more humid than it used to be. Must be the pivot irrigation for the corn. But I love sweet corn! Canning season is just beginning with green beans ready and tomatoes on the vine. I love the whole process of food preservation.
ReplyDeleteThe mosquitos are terrible here this summer.......... (I almost said mosQUILTos) Just had my first sweet corn of the summer. Yum!
ReplyDeleteOh summer, how I love thee! A time when my husband is not bothered by school students and paperwork. A time when my precious children can spend countless quality hours with their father exploring the many nooks and crannies of the local zoo and museums. A time when...Dang it! I wish I didn't have to work! Why must hubby and kids have all the fun?
ReplyDeletebuggy, buggy, buggy, buggy- I would love it if it wasn't for all the bugs! why can't they just leave me alone?
ReplyDeleteI don't like summer! Give me spring or fall anytime. Summer is too HOT!
ReplyDeleteThis has been one hot and beautiful summer - great swimming weather!
ReplyDeleteToday's temp is suppose to 102, so summer is not exactly my favorite season....give me spring or autumn. But, it is a great season to stay inside and sew, sew, sew!
ReplyDeleteSummer, my favorite season. I have a new beach chair, a book I want to read, now all I need is a long weekend at the beach!
ReplyDeleteSummer is flying by -- slow it down please!

ReplyDeleteMGM
I love the summer time, being from Canada, summers are especially treasured because our winters are so long and so cold!
ReplyDeleteSummer means time to do whatever my heart desires because the days are longer, I am on holidays, I follow no real schedule so if I don't get something done today, oh well, there's tomorrow!! Thanks for a great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThis summer has been even hotter than usual down here. We have spent more time inside than usual so I am glad to have a few projects to work on while my little ones are napping.
ReplyDeletesummer is having the boys home to play with! evenings in the hammock. my sewing room moved to the sunroom so I can watch the roses grow. bats eating mosquitoes. fast pitch softball games. staying up late and sleeping in. fresh fruit everywhere. sweet corn.
ReplyDeleteSummers a busy time, that's why I like fall and winter so I can get more sewing and projects done.
ReplyDeleteThis is the last summer I will have a child at home... my last goes off to college soon and we will become empty nesters... I am not quite sure how I feel about that..
ReplyDeleteLove the fun of summertime, but the heat in Houston is way too much this year. You'd think I'd be used to it after 35 years.
ReplyDeleteI don't care for summer. It's too hot for me.
ReplyDeleteOH boy, this is amazing. I have a little button on my blog titled "bartering" and would love to have you drop by. I am seeking those who would like to trade quality hand crafted jewelry for their scraps of fabric. :o)

I am loving summer this year!! It's hot and sunny and I'm spending lots of time sitting by the water enjoying some hand sewing. Oh, and someone mentioned summer fruit; it's been wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSummer is way too short! I just start relaxing in late July, then it is the preparation to go back to school and work in August! Can we extend it by another month--September is pretty hot too or June! Love it though!
ReplyDeleteooooo, nothing is more fun than scraps!! Thank you for the chance!
ReplyDeleteLove working in my flower and vegetable garden - all the good things to eat. Also love the smell of fresh bedding after hanging it on the clothesline.
ReplyDeleteI love the lazy days of summer when life is a little slower.
ReplyDeletethis summer has been weird. i live in los angeles, and it's been gloomy and chilly most of the time. it cleared up last week, and we all got excited, which i think jinxed us, because now it's gloomy again.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe summer is almost over
ReplyDeleteOh yes please! I'm working on a string quilt right now (using the tutorial I posted to my blog - it has a twist) and could definitely use more scraps to include!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing about Summer is the abundance of fresh berries available! I just love berries and wish I could have them local and fresh all year long. My other favourite thing about Summer is that it's right before Fall, and Fall is my favourite season.
Oh i love the times of summer but not the heat. High 90's to 100's whew man it gets crazy but the fun is all worth it. Love the scraps.
ReplyDeleteSummer goes too fast. Can't believe school starts back in 2 weeks and a day!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of summer is I get to open the doors and windows and let the fresh air in!! Just makes me feel so good! The days are longer and I always feel like I get so much more done and am in a happier mood!! Should move somewhere nice where I can feel like that year round!!:) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat I love about summer is that my kids are off from school and I get to spend some "stress" free time with them...no schedules, or homework to contend with.
ReplyDeleteSummer where did it go. Being a Minnesotan I love the summer because after a long cold winter it is great to have lots of sun. I also love going to the different lakes and going tubing.
ReplyDeleteEven though it's been soooo hot here this summer, I'm just so happy not to be cold!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe summer is almost over. 5 more weeks and then it's back to school! Summer goes by way too fast!! Thanks for the chance!

I can't resist to make smart butt comments when people talk about summer. For instance one friend said, Where is summer?! This weather stinks! So I say, I am right here! I'll see what I can do! ;)

ReplyDeleteSummer to me means longer days and warmer temperatures. It is my favorite time of the year.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing my little girl enjoy the outdoors in the summer! She loves to be out in the sun!
ReplyDeleteUmm summer?? Oh yes I remember. Isn't that the season when there's suppose to be things like sunshine, sprinklers, barbeques, warm nights and flip flops. Instead we've experienced rain. Lots of rain hence, no sprinklers, barbeques, warm nights and it's been more rubber boots than flip flops. I have faith though that summer will come soon. Should happen right before the kiddos go back to school!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
Summer=longer days=more time for quilting! And great giveaways.
ReplyDelete;)
I love the fresh food from my Dad's garden.
ReplyDeleteSummer means Sandals...and my feet have always been my favorite body part. I love wearing less on my feet.
ReplyDeleteSummer...it goes by soooo fast!!! Lots of fun to be had...cramming too many things into not enough weekends.
ReplyDeleteI love summer! Even when my house is warm, and I can't walk outside without burning something off, I just have to think of those awful cold winter months and I'm ok!
ReplyDeleteLove summer....long days, warm evenings, fresh veggies, swimming, reading, relaxing!!
ReplyDeleteI don't love summer, because I don't love the heat. I do however like watermelon, warm days on the beach, raspberries fresh off the vine, a warm rain and lazy days. So I guess summer does have some redeaming qualities. Thanks for the giveaway.

4th of July, my birthday, no school, Maui, sewing, summer :)
ReplyDeleteSummer around here is lots of outdoor playing, getting together with friends, swimming lessons, vacation Bible school, and we're all looking forward to camping!!
ReplyDeleteI've always loved July because it's my birthday month (tomorrow!). Now that I'm older, I'm trying not to become one of those woman that dread another birthday. Maybe a bag of scraps would help... ;)
ReplyDeleteScraps would be a very welcome thing here! Would love to win. Summer is really not my thing--It's way too hot, and I always look forward to cooler weather.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway! I really, really wish that I were, but I'm not a fan of summer at all - I live in the south and the heat and humidity are just so oppressive for most of the summer months. Perhaps as I get older at some point I will become a fan...
ReplyDeleteOK Summer......it has been hot, hot, hot and rainy, rainy, rainy and humid. I love the A/C and being indoors sewing.
ReplyDeleteSummer in Manitoba means mosquitoes, thunderstorms and construction zones. But it also means no snow, no blizzards and no frostbite! (which is why winter's so good for quilting)
ReplyDeleteSummer in Sweden... SHORT.. SWEET...SUNNY....SIMPLY GORGEOUS...SOMEDAYS COLD...SWIMMING... STORMY RAINS... SUNBATHING.... SOOOO GOOD..:O)

ReplyDeleteI am a HUGE scrap lover...
ReplyDeleteAhh summer. Since my kids aren't in school yet (and might be homeschooled anyway), summer is just like the rest of the year only it is hotter and there's more people out. I do love it though.

ReplyDeleteI love summer beach weather. Cool nights and warm days. The salt water and the beautiful sunsets.
ReplyDeleteI feel like summer is slip-slidin' away. So much to do, so little time--when the daydreaming and the playing is over!
ReplyDeleteJune 21 is gone and the daylight is coming later now. We are enjoying the bounty of the summer garden. I love the challenge of working with scraps, and when the temps hit 100, I'm inside quilting.
ReplyDeletei think summer is the climax to the year. It's the season that you can't wait for but have to visit all the other seasons first before you can enjoy it...by the time it arrives you're so thankful...ya know what I mean??
ReplyDeleteI love it that it doesn't get late until about 10pm in the summer. All that light makes me happy and I love to have sunshine in my sewing room window :-)
ReplyDeleteLove those lazy days of summer - my favorite parts are the flowers and the yummy fruits and vegetables. Just got through eating a peach fresh off the tree.

Texas summer makes me get much more creative with kiddo activities. The heat makes is unbareable to do much outside, so we have to get creative with our entertainment! (Maybe if we win, we can make something crafty with our new scraps!)
ReplyDeleteI am spending most of my summer in Utah and Idaho rather than Texas. My children are actually getting to play outside. LOVE the weather in Idaho for the summer. It's where I grew up, so my children are getting to experience a little of my childhood briefly -- just the good part too.
