Merry Christmas to me

This quilt is the 'sewing that never ends'.
I've wanted to show it to you for.....
....forever!
I've been using it as a "leaders and enders" quilt.
But I've got to kick it up a notch
or it's never going to be finished!!
Vintage sheets and some color.
Can't wait for it to be done.
It's for me.
Merry Christmas to ME!
That's okay, right?

  1. Pretty sure that is A-OKAY! I wouldn't know because I only have the very first quilt that I made - over 22 years ago! I give all the other away. I plan to keep something done with Patisserie, 1974, Summer in the City and Bliss (at this point). This sure is a pretty mix, I can't wait to see the finished quilt.

  2. I don't think enough of us quilters "gift" ourselves. SO, yes, Merry Christmas to you.

  5. Merry Christmas to yourself is perfectly okay. In fact I think it is a good idea. If you can't love yourself it is really hard for anyone else to love you.

  11. That's definitely OK! And the colors look really pretty. We have a naughtly little habit in our family -- the ladies always buy themselves a present when they're out shopping. And if we're feeling REALLY naughty, we wrap it up, put it under the tree and act REALLY surprised when we open it!

  14. I think the colors are great and I would most certainly keep it for myself if I was making it, so you should too!
