Blue Nile Lillies. I grow 3 pots in my yard, and watch and watch for the flower spikes each summer. They open from the bottom and remind me of a firework burst.
Thank you for this lovely giveaway. It's fun reading about all the different flowers! My all time favourite is sweet peas, not only do they have beautiful colours and are so delicate, but they smell lovely too. Hydrangeas a close second.
Thank you for this lovely giveaway. It's fun reading about all the different flowers! My all time favourite is sweet peas, not only do they have beautiful colours and are so delicate, but they smell lovely too. Hydrangeas a close second.
I'm a May baby and while I love many flowers...I'd have to say that lilacs are one of my favorites...most especially my May favorite. I look forward to them popping out and the fragrance is just divine. Some people don't like them, but I do. Their life is very short, but very beautiful!
Favorite flower -- that's like asking what my favorite fabric line is. Too many to choose from. I love stargazer and calla lilies, but I'm also a huge fan of tulips and hydrangeas. And sweet peas. And ranunculus. Okay. I'm going to stop now. Thanks for a chance to win!
Pretty post card. It makes me want to get outside and work in the garden. My favorite flower is pink roses. At my previous house I had a great rose bed, 26 plants, but one year I got sick and couldn't then them and the japanese beetles and other nasties destroyed them. I can't wait to plant new ones at this house.
Blue hydrangeas. They used to grow alongside my grandmother's shed (yes, she had her own shed - she even built her own kitchen cupboards after giving up waiting for her husband to do it!!) I used to call them "old lady" flowers when I was little, because they always reminded me of my nana.
I LOVE tulips. And I'm not just saying this because I have no imagination and picked the flower that's in your image, I really love them! They are so bright, happy and elegant all at the same time.
My favorite flower...right now...are the blue daze flowers lining my flower beds in my front yard. They are so bright and happy and they never fail to make me smile.
Oh I think I love them all, but lavender is very precious to me. Mine is getting ready to bloom and I check it daily. I hope to make some lavender wands this year.
I love so many flowers it is hard to pick a favorite. In the spring, it is either lilac for their incredible fragrance or a tulip for its simplicity. Thanks!
I love flowers, but one of my favorites is the daffodil-one of the first to enjoy after a long winter and they come in so many beautiful colors and shapes now too
What a cool postcard! Picking a favorite flower is as difficult as picking a favorite fabric. I gonna say gladiolus, because my dad used to plant rows and rows of them and take bouquets wherever he went. Now that he is gone I plant them myself.
I have two: bird of paradise and hydrangea. Someone told me Madonna HATES hydrangeas and that her assistants must remove them from her sight. I like the old fashioned ones.
How sweet! I love hydrangeas in the flower bed! You never know what color they will be and the flowers are BIG and beautiful! You can even dry them and still have a basket full of wonderful blooms! Thanks!
lily of the valley is is blooming right now...and it is a flower of my youth....a reminder of my Gram, who allowed us to pick them from outside her farmhouse. I have moved them to all of my homes over the years....and today the first bouquet comes inside...which will be picked by my little grandson...and maybe they remind him of me someday. :)
My favorite flowers are marigolds. I know they are common and plenty, but the deer will not eat them! And they are very easy to grow! And, very pretty in gold, yellow and oranges!
I love morning glories. They remind me of the house I grew up in, we had a trellis that the morning glories would climb up and it would be full of blooms. I would carefully remove the seeds so I would have more for the next year. Right now I live in an apartment, but as soon as I get a house I'm planting some morning glories!
love, love, love the postcard! right now I love dandelions, as they are the only flower growing in our yard, and my boys love to pick them for me. fresh. everyday.
I love Lilacs because they fill my yard and home with their lovely fragrance, but they are gone in the blink of an eye. But my all time favorite are Daisies! They were my mom's favorite and long before Meg Ryan in You've Got Mail said they were her favorite because they were so cheerful, my mom told me that she loved Daisies because "just looking at them, bobbing their heads in the breeze, makes me feel happy". She filled our yard with them and they were beautiful all summer long. Thanks for a chance, and some nice memories :o) Hugs...
Hands down it's the beautiful gardenia. I just love the stark white against the lovely dark green leaves and the scent is incredible. Thanks for the give away chance.
