ReplyDeleteMy mom passed away several years ago. I miss her so much. When we were kids, my brothers and I would make her breakfast in bed. (I am sure she dreaded the mess we left in the kitchen, but she never complained.) I am a follower and thank you for the chance to win :)

ReplyDeleteMy mom never liked mothers day, she thought it was too commercial. Iḿ like her: my kids don have to buy me a gift because of mothers day, Iḿ more happy with a breakfast in bed when they think about what I will like for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteThis Mother's Day will be wonderful. I will be in NYC visiting daughter, SIL, and two grandsons. Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabric selection - so cute and colorful. My favorite memory of Mothers Day was when my children were still young and at home and would make me something with their little hands instead of store purchased items. I have kept them all - very dear to my heart.
ReplyDeletemy favorite Mother's Day came three years ago when my little girl came in to this world...
ReplyDeleteI am a mom, she's a girl and she's born on Mother's Day (the real date is the 8th of May) and someday this little girl will be a mom too... I hope so ^_^
My son was also born on Mother's Day but 28 years ago.

ReplyDeleteI lost my mother 2 years ago. She was a fantastic knitter and since her death I've really started knitting and everytime I finish a knitting-project I wonder if she would proud of me.
All the years when the kids would bring me breakfast in bed-even when it was cold cereal! Love this fabric-thank you!
ReplyDeleteI am a follower, I lost my Mum 8 years ago but she loved Mothers Day, I always took her out to buy plants for her garden, now I choose one for my own garden and plant in "her " memory bed.

My mom is one of my best friends and I am so lucky to live just down the street from her when is my binding queen which is not my strong point. Without her I would have lots of pieced quilts laying around waiting to be finished!
ReplyDeleteI love that she gets down and plays with her grandkids at the drop of a hat (or a sweet smile from one of them!)
ReplyDeleteMy sweet comment would be about my grandmother who raised me and taught me to sew. I think of her everyday!

ReplyDeleteMy awesome Mum is all the way over the other side of the world from me in Australia. She is the sweetest littlest lady I know. For Mothers day this year I sent her half of all my fabrics, so that when we sew, it's like we're together. <3
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower. One of my sweetest memories is a simple one. I can remember holding my mom's hand in church every Sunday. I loved looking at her polished nails, her wedding ring and the way her smooth hand felt in mine. Still one of my favorite memories.
ReplyDeleteI love, love my mom. But I can't live with her. She nags. I find that we love each other more when we don't see each other every day.
ReplyDeleteI am a follower of your blog. The fat quarters are so great! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteMy sweetest Mother's Days are the ones I get to spend with all three of my beautiful daughters!
My mom and I are on opposite sides of the country now, and I miss her terribly, but we try and skype every week! I'm not a huge fan of mother's day, we should show appreciation of our moms every day, not just one day a year!

ReplyDeleteGrowing up, my sisters, brother and me would get up extra early so we could make breakfast in bed for our Mom every Mother's Day. I remember her smiling through her lovingly prepared meal of soggy cereal, burnt toast and weak coffee (thank goodness our cooking skills improved over time... lol).

ReplyDeleteOne year, for mother's day, I saved up and bought my mum this set of earrings, that had inter-changeable colour rings that you could switch to match your outfit. When I saw them years later, I could see that they were pretty hideous, but I was so proud of them at the time! My mum kept wearing them, even though they turned her ears green, just so she wouldn't hurt my feelings.
Thanks for the lovely giveaway!
Love my Mom! She is the biggest example and inspiration to me of integrity and lovingkindness!

My husband up and surprised me with an all night road trip to Boise so that I could surprise my mom at the airport and spend time with both my mom and my grandma. Some very treasured memories out of that visit.

ReplyDeleteWe always used to just celebrate Mother's Day with our immediate family. Mom's mom when she was alive, then just mom, dad me & my sister after that. Then one year my mom randomly decided she wanted to have a big brunch at our house with Dad's side of the family... and they actually showed up! It was pretty cool but the reason I remember it is because one of my cousins didn't make it... because she went into labor!! I remember as a young girl thinking it was pretty awesome she was becoming a mother ON Mother's Day.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a lovely giveaway. I follow with GFC. This year was my favourite mother's day ever. I had breakfast in bed and all my meals cooked for me. More importantly all of my children were nice all day long!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteok, well I am a Debbie downer. My birthday is this week and its also mother's day. I have to admit I feel slighted because of it. I somehow am sick during that period and guess what, I am sick today. YUCK!! Anyway, my mom lives far away and I don't wait until mother's day to tell her she's the best. so don't wait either. too many people lose their mothers abruptly with too much left to say. love your mom and love your kids so they will love you ash their mom as much as you love yours someday!
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower. My mum was at the birth of two of my children and it was so awesome to have her there :)
ReplyDeleteI follow through GFC. My favorite Mother's Day was a few years ago when my son got me a really nice bicycle!
ReplyDeleteMy mom really did her best when raising us. She stayed home, organized lots of activities, made us play instruments, try pottering, different sports, crafting and SEWING! Now as a mom of two little ones I appreciate her efforts even more.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
My Mom is just the best... I like to think everyone feels that way about their Mom!
