ReplyDeleteI really love this fabric. My favorite scrumptious dessert is a three layer coconut cake. Thank you for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI am fickle when it comes to desert, how about a scrumptious layer cake, no seriously any concoction that has meringue, ganache and fresh fruit with maybe a scattering of toasted flaked almonds, no matter what it is called, is my downfall. ReplyDeleteThanks so much for a pretty giveaway. My favourite is Bread and Butter Pudding, a very traditional English pudding. You butter white bread VERY thickly with unsalted butter, cover one slice with dried currants and raisins, then top with another slice. Cut the sandwiches into triangles and put into a deep dish. Cover completely with a mixture of eggs, sugar and double cream. Bake until golden but still a little wobbly.

I make an old-fashioned shortcake recipe with real butter and half-n-half. I was given this receipe by a nurse: bottom layer nuts, flour and butter. Mix in a dish and bake. Let cool then add a combo of powdered sugar and cool whip, spread on this first layer. Mix up two packages of pudding with milk and spread over cool whip, add another container of cool whip, grate a candy bar over the cool whip and add some red cherries. What did she call it? Why Sex In a Pan. Because the nurses would ooh and aah over this wonderful dessert.

ReplyDeletepaweis at yahoo dot com
Hmm... So hard to pick. Since I'm in hte mood for chocolate (but have run out of cocoa), I'm going with brownies. It's my mom's recipe... The book it's in opens directly to the brownie page because there is so much cocoa/flour/drops of batter on that page. The rest of the pages are a light cream, but that page is decidedly brown. I'm glad I wrote it down before I moved out.
