Oh - I just love my friend Robin who is always so upbeat you can never be grumpy around her!! I think if I won this I would make the quilt for her.....maybe not......Have fun on your trip!!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I love my friend Katrin because we are so similar & know each other best {yep, we're completing the other's sentences}. It's just uncomplicated, I can be "me" ;o) & have lots of fun ;o).
ReplyDeleteHave fun at your retreat!
Cheers, Julia
I have a lot of friends, but the first one (actually two) is my best friends at the local quiltshop. They really need some support now after being told that the quiltshop is for sale and they probably don't have any work when the new owner takes over. I feel so sorry for them
ReplyDeleteLove my friend Delta because when she says "call ANYtime", she really does mean it. Plus, she's a great enabler to my stash habit.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the retreat! Looks like it will be a blast!
My best is my little girl, she is 10 and was a miracle to have in itself. I love crafting with her and spending time with her, we do everything together. She is an absolute little angel. If we win we will craft something up together
ReplyDeletethank you and I really enjoy your blog.

My friend Allie lives in California and I live in New York. She grew up here. We worked together for only a year but got to be fast and true friends. It is really nice to have someone to talk to about my life that can sit back and give me the high level perspective, because she isn't involved in the day-to-day craziness.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteMy closest friend is Janet. We both spend time in France where we are neighbours in a village of twelve people. The rest of the time Janet is in Norway and I am in New Zealand....Our love of the land is what brings us together. Where so many people are lazing around and looking lovely, Janet and I are in our wellington boots, jeans with our hands caked in dirt. She understands!
Cheers, Cynthia
May you might pick me! HMMMMM Keeping my fingers crossed. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have a friend I met on the internet and she is sch a dear to me. I have met her once and we felt as though we had known each other for years. She helps me when I am down and laughs when things go right. I hope I am a friend to her also. Linda Gerig
ReplyDeleteMy bestest friend is Vicki. We've been friends for many years so she knows all my quirks and bad habits but loves me anyway. We both know that we can ask the other for help anytime and receive it with no hesitation. Kinda like Thelma and Louise, only different.
ReplyDeleteI have a girlfriend thats been my friend since 6th grade! We've been out of high school for a looong time. I'm going to have breakfast with her today.
ReplyDeleteMy friend Tammy I talk to EVERY MORNING with my coffee, the second I shoo the kids out to the bus I call her or if its a few min. later she is calling me :) She is my BFF and my Christian accountability buddy! xoxo melzie
ReplyDeleteI would have to say one of my friends is so dear to me because she is the ultimate shopping buddy. She can find colors and styles that I would never consider, and she insists would look great on me. And she is always right. She brings out the best in me and I will always love her.
ReplyDeleteMy friend Shawna is the one I talk to almost daily. She encourages me when I need it and tells me when she thinks I'm wrong. God has truly blessed me with not only a sister, but a best friend!
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be my sister, Suzanne. We talk at least three times per week (we live in different provinces) about everything under the sun, including our love of sewing and quilting.
ReplyDeleteMy friend Dawn is awesome...she has the same interests as I do...and she's always willing to talk about quilting!
ReplyDeleteMy best friend Katie has been there for me since first grade and always knows when I need a shoulder to lean on.
ReplyDeleteI can honestly say my friends mean a lot to me. I have endured some very rough times and losses that made me cherish my friends even more, especially my best friend Terri.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect fabric to remember that friendship with.
The first person that popped to mind is a friend I've had since we were in diapers. We have a huge amount of childhood memories together. We grew apart through high school, and now live in the same town again (a completely different town than where we grew up). We now get together every week and our kids are friends. It's wonderful to share so much history and be so comfortable around someone.
ReplyDeleteThe first friend that comes to mind in my friend Bonnie. We don't see as much of each other as we would like, but when we do it's as if we haven't been apart. She is totally opposite of me, but we are sisters in so many respects. I can see my friend Bonnie in this fabric. She so loves vintage things.
ReplyDeleteGlenda
Kathy is my best friend and the only person I keep in regular contact with from when I was in the Air Force. One of the reasons that I love her is because she is an amazing person.
ReplyDeleteI have a few GOOD friends but today I am thinking of Tiffany, my internet friend. She is half my age, lives on the other side of the country and we have never met. We hit it off, on a scrap site, about 4 years ago and since then have chatted almost every day. We have only spoken on the phone twice in all that time. We both prefer to use the computer.
ReplyDeleteI've been working on a quilt project in school to connect far-away friends through quilt squares. This is so appropriate!
ReplyDeleteI love my friend Sonya because she completely understands the whole crafting thing and we share the need to create.
ReplyDeleteMy good friend is Daynene who I met
ReplyDeletein graduate school in Houston. We attended
the quilt show together then both
started quilting and have been good friends
ever since. I just finished a baby quilt for
her new baby girl :)
My friend Trisha is the best. Our husbands gew up together and she is one of the only ones who understands what it's like to be married to an LSU fan!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun giveaway! My friend Sherri is a great quilting buddy.
ReplyDeleteI love my friend Kaitlyn! She is always there for me. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteToday I have my friend Julie on my mind. We became good friends a couple of years ago when we, and a bunch of awesome ladies from our neighborhood, were called to serve in YW together. I am pretty sure we were crazier (hard to believe) and had more fun the girls we served – we just can’t text as fast. We no longer serve in YW, but we still get together for late night French fries and chocolate milk shakes. Today is Julie’s last day of chemotherapy for metastatic breast cancer. This morning we all met at 6:30 a.m. to decorate her house in pink, and surprise her & her family with pink frosted cinnamon rolls for breakfast. She is an amazing mom, friend & she’s a FIGHTER!
ReplyDeleteRight away one of my friends, Stephanie popped into my mind. She is a crafty mama just like I am. Really sweet and really creative. She is one of the many people I have been blessed to add into my military family as I follow the Hubs across the country from station to station.
ReplyDeleteHi Des, I'm thinking about my friend Linda - if things had gone the way they were supposed to (the Lithuanian community arranged to have her father and my mother be married, but they weren't in love and rebelled) - she would be my sister! Except for that, we've always said that we were cut out of the same bolt of cloth! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteMy closest friend has got to be my sister. I live in Idaho and she lives in North Carolina so we talk on the phone 24/7! We can do anything together or just simply sit and do nothing and watch our 4 kids be crazy!
ReplyDeleteI love my friend Kate, who is coming to visit me this weekend, because she is ridiculous and acts like a buffoon with me. Hanging out with her is the PERFECT way to blow off steam. Plus she's very crafty and always shows me new projects!
ReplyDeleteI love my friend Sarah who always finds a way to see the funny side of life as a physician
ReplyDeleteI love my friend Judy because as a gardener she is always eager to share her ideas and her plants!
ReplyDeleteI not only have a friend in Kathy, I have an angel. She is generous in spirit and showers my students and me with surprises. This week she posed as the Pumpkin Fairy delivering a huge pumpkin (fake) drilled with 50 holes containing Tootsie Pops. I just love her!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the give away!
My friend Kelly is the best! She is so down to earth and always gives it to you straight! She can always make me laugh too : )
ReplyDeletemy friend beki is one of the many loves of my life.besides my daughter,my husband, sewing and crafting.she helps me put a whole new perspective on things and helps me to relize what the meaning of friendship truely is:)

ReplyDeletemy friend Kerri...I miss her everyday since moving more so after our yearly girls weekend in vegas 2 weeks ago makes me miss her more...
ReplyDeleteMy friend Claudia is a real find because she makes me laugh when I feel like laughing and cries with me when I'm sad. It doesn't get any better than that!
ReplyDeleteMy friend Judy, always able to depend on her for just the right words. She lives 12,000 miles away, gosh I miss her.
ReplyDeleteMy friends are the ones keeping me afloat today and everyday since my husband's death.

My one friend Naomi I met in high school and we've never lost touch. We seem connected in a weird way. She always seems to know when something is wrong, even though she is miles away, and vice versa. She always finds a way to brighten my day and I feel like a better person when I am around her, and I know she totally loves and accepts me for who I am. I know we'll always be there for each other in times of crisis (as only girlfriends can) and in happy times as well! Enjoy your time with your friends!
ReplyDeleteNonnie is my dear friend. She is fun, funny, giving, kind, and right now she's in Greece and I'm having withdrawals!
ReplyDeleteWell poop! LOL. So evidently once your post is posted on google reader, and you take it off your blog and repost again, it doesn't come up on google reader, because i guess it's already really there. I think I missed the Thursday Give Away. Boo Hoo..
ReplyDeleteJust in case you haven't done the draw yet..
ReplyDeleteMy friend Carmen has really opened my eyes over the years to all the possiblilites in the world of quilting.
I was always ready to say "I can't or don't know how to do that" and she would say to me, "Oh I can show you how to do it!"
We have had a whole lot of fun over hte years with quiltmaking and I don't know what I would have done without her friendship!
NOOOOO idea why my post is not linkable and does not show my picture. I did have trouble when I was posting - it was 'different'. I figured blogger was somehow new and improved. Huh.
