My daughter was watching Harry. He wanted to dress-up as a spider, so they got all of the costumes out. Too bad we don't have a rabbit costume.
Here he is helping himself to the Easter eggs.
Of course, she didn't stop him, she took his picture.
Later, he decided that wasn't enough. He helped himself to a jelly roll.
A tasty Halloween jelly roll.
Ugh.
All I know, is this is the jelly roll he chose. I tried to wrap it back up -- impossible, but still very delicious.
So today's giveaway is a Chic or Treat Moda jelly roll from Harry to you with love.
Almost 3 yards of fabric (40-2.5" strips) - that's a lot of love.
This was a fun holiday line, we still have a bit in the store. Nicol made a cute Halloween jelly roll quilt. She used the Fields of Flowers pattern. Painless & sugar-free.
I'm excited about this year's Halloween from Moda -- it's called... Spooktacular -- it's coming in July.
So leave a comment about Halloween, eggs or an Easter treat idea to be entered into the drawing.
Random drawing for jelly roll will be later tonight.
I actually LOVE Halloween and I LOVE Halloween fabric, so a big thank you to Harry for choosing it :-)!
ReplyDeleteOoooh yes please! Halloween is just not a big thing here in Oz :( so I'd love to be able to make something with this for Halloween this year. It would make a brilliant quilt to bring out every year.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Jenelle
I love Halloween, but not the teenage/adult scary Halloween. I love the kiddy part, the really cutsie stuff. I love to decorate and always use the sweet, fun type decor. I still have the canvas cross stitching of a witch, bat and ghost Mom and I made when I was about 10. This line would be perfect! Thanks Harry:)
ReplyDeletecool, hopefully this halloween we can take the kids out. last year my daughter came home from school sick and had an extremely high fever all night. so we ended up eating in and watching movies.thanks

I can't wait to see Spooktakular! I was just looking for Halloween fabrics yesterday to make aprons!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the new line... I drooled the Halloween fabric last year, but never bought any!
ReplyDeleteNow that is one cute spider! Adorable. I love Halloween...one of my fave times of year. I so think I need a quilt too. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am so waiting for chocolate on Sunday! I gave it up (and lollies) until easter Sunday and I am dying!!!! I live in Australia so Halloween is not very big here but I love reading everyone's blogs around then to see what everyone makes. Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteLovely giveaway...and good timing too..The winner should just about have enough time to whip up something suitable, quilt it and have it done before Oct 31 :o)
ReplyDeleteHalloween's always fun and well anything that involves candy is alright by me
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope I win. Halloween is my birthday! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI love Halloween and once I even managed to creep-out Easter! I found puzzle dinosaurs in cool opaque eggs a couple of years back; they had a horrible rubbery placenta around them, so you had to pull them out of the sac (complete with stretchy umbilical cord) to get the puzzle pieces out and assemble the dinos! They were a huge hit with the kids - very different from the usual pastel eggs in their baskets!!
ReplyDeleteI am happy that my grandkids will be here for Easter. Gotta get those plastic eggs filled...
ReplyDeleteI think we still have candy left from last Halloween. I love that Halloween jelly roll, spider made a great choice.
ReplyDeleteThe photo so much reminds me of when my children were little and every Halloween, I made them an elaborate costume.
ReplyDeleteThanks Harry, I would love to have a Halloween quilt out of Chics or Treat.
Trick or treat and happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteSometimes you feel like a spider...so be true to your spider self! LOL My son loves to dress up too. So, I can understand that urge.
ReplyDeleteI love the jelly roll and really want to make a Halloween quilt. Thanks Harry for making this opportunity possible! LOL
Oh, what a spooky tablerunner for the front hallway that would make.
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch little spider.

Halloween is right up there with Christmas for me. Love dressing up, even now. My husband and I dress up together with our kiddies. And my first big quilt top was a Halloween one! I would love to win!
ReplyDeleteYay! I would love to start my holiday quilt stash with this darling fabric! So Fun!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I always think about halloween projects when it's too late to get it finished--April should be just about right! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHalloween is one of my favourite times of the year. It's so beautiful outside, crisp, a touch of smokey smell in the air, and a hint of Christmas approaching. I've never made a Halloween quilt before, and would love to make one! We have three, yes three, halloween birthdays we celebrate (friend and family members)

Very fun giveaway! I love Halloween - love seeing all the little kids dressed up - especially those in the really creative costumes! I never had a store-bought costume, so I appreciate the kids who still make theirs.
ReplyDeleteMy comment is about Easter. I remember at 5 being upset because my parents were helping my 1 year old sister find Easter eggs. Now I have a 5 year old who will be looking for eggs!
ReplyDeleteI'm soooo looking forward to my Easter break!! It's coming a little late this year, but I do need to get away for a couple of days! No internet, no work, no city... Just mountains and me!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great giveaway!! :-)

ReplyDeletemy, he is so cute!! :D A cute little Easter spider :D
ReplyDeleteOh how neat! You could do a log cabin quilt with that. October is my favorite month of the year. Good choice Harry!
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Anne Michelle
It seems to be halloween here in our house year round, simply because for the last two years my boys have dressed as spidermand and superman and the costumes are used on a weekly basis to play with..they seem to get most enjoyment out of puttin on the spiderman mask and tryin to scare mommy...silly little boys.
ReplyDeleteHow fun for some lucky person to recieve Halloween fabric for Easter. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI bought some of this line last fall and never did anything with it. Maybe I need that jelly roll to make something for this year's Halloween. Can't wait to see the new stuff.
ReplyDeletei think that this year for halloween, when we are walking the kids around i'm gonna make me & the hubby dress like bella & edward.
ReplyDeletedid you see they are selling her jacket from the movie now???
madness, i know.
How cute--I love this fabric--it would be a perfect wallhanging/qilt for my 5-year-old grandson!
ReplyDeleteWe are doing nothing for Easter, (the guys will go snowboarding) I don't even have the Easter Box down from the attic! But I do want to win your jelly roll!:)Thanks Corrie!
ReplyDeleteSpooktacular looks great!
ReplyDeletemaumauisginger(at)gmail(dot)com
My nephew just did the same thing at our store! Only he picked an April Cornell Jelly Roll! Crazy kids! I didn't even think of giving it away...you are so smart! Our family always picks a theme for Halloween and we all dress to match! As far as I know we are doing the Wizard of Oz this year! That should be fun! Thanks for the chance to win...that fabric looks adorable!
ReplyDeleteI love candy...all kinds. Funny thing is that we have a candy jar (mainly chocolates) and down in the bottom was a hershey kiss that was candy corn flavor left over from Halloween time. I can't believe all the flavors they make of those now! I want to try them all.
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway. I love Halloweeny stuff
spondah(at)aol(dot)com
Hats off to Harry!! The only thing better than jelly rolls for Halloween is taffy! If I started now, I could have a Halloween quilt/wallhanging done by October. It would look good in my foyer. pick me random number thingy!!
ReplyDeleteMy almost 15-year old son told me he has no interest in dyeing eggs this year. I'm so sad (and I'm hoping he'll change his mind). I think he misses his big sis.... :(
ReplyDeleteI have a recipe somewhere for chocolate covered peanut butter eggs...I should dig it out and make a few. :)
ReplyDeleteamaryllis_wings@yahoo.ca
I LOVE halloween. My kids were Lilo & Stitch the past couple years.
ReplyDeleteI think we are going to dye eggs for easter tomorrow.
Perhaps if I got my Halloween fabric in July I'd actually get my Halloween projects finished before Christmas!
ReplyDeleteWell after Easter Halloween is the next big candy day right? Love novelty fbric. Speaks my language.
ReplyDeleteAnd is rocktastic!
Love "Chic or Treat"...and I've seen pictures of "Spooktacular" and love it already too! The Chic or Treat jelly roll would be awesome to use for sashing and a piano key border for my Halloween cottage quilt!
ReplyDeleteI love that line of fabric! Cute, cute, cute!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun roll of fabric! We do an annual Harvestfest for Halloween around here - indoors with lots of games and treats, perfect for our little ones.
ReplyDeleteOh, I found the funnest idea for princess outfits for Halloween. . . I made 6 princess costumes for my three girls and my friend's three girls with thousands of yards of tulle and corset tops. . . SOOOO fun!
ReplyDeleteLast year was my daughter's first Halloween - she was a strawberry! Such a cute costume - but she got sick a week before halloween and didn't get to wear it until mid-November! And yes...I took pics and put them in her book AS IF she did wear it on Halloween!
ReplyDeleteunfortunately Halloween will be here before we know it. Linda Gerig I can't wait till summer.
ReplyDeletethanks so much for letting me know about the jeans. I never win anything.
I too love Halloween...especially when I was teaching. The kids get into it so. Please enter me in giveaway.
ReplyDeletenadeaug@wildblue.net
I love having an october birthday... and I love halloween. This fabric would be cute for halloween decor..
ReplyDeleteOhh, comment about eggs...I will only eat them scrambled...bad childhood memories...Oh, and by the way, I just love Harry. He's super adorable. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Easter to get here! Having a 3 and 5 year old makes it the best. When I was little my mama wore Leggs pantyhose that came in the big silver eggs. I found a gold and silver egg very similar to that to hide the "grand prize" in. yeah!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
What a Spooktaculiar giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThat little spider is a cutie and I'm sure he did not frighten anyone.
I love Halloween - it might just be my favorite holiday... especially to decorate for. I also love Easter, it's been fun to find new easter decorations this year!
ReplyDeleteHalloween and Easter...two great holidays! But I love the colors of Halloween, and my birthday is a few days before that. It would be neat to win this and make a quilt for a wall hanging of some kind!!
ReplyDeleteI love that he is a spider. Reminds me of my boys always wearing capes around the house and super-hero pjs. LOL I miss little boys running around. Although I do have princesses and fairies running around now. :)
ReplyDeleteI hate scary movies, but I always want to rent the scariest for Halloween!
ReplyDeleteBOO! Love the spooky, fun colors
ReplyDeletelove to win it.
What a cute guy! I finished my Halloween quilt from our retreat and need another one to go with so my kids have one to snuggle with and one to look at. Can't wait to see the new line! Thanks for all your help!
ReplyDeleteHalloween is not my favorite of days/seasons. My mom went overboard making costumes when I was growing up, my dad was into the big scare. Me, not so much. I like the candy though!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever boy, he just knew we needed a giveaway :-) I love easter, mainly because I'm a chocaholic. We don't do Halloween really down in the southern hemishpere, but I'd still be happy to make a halloween quilt :-)
ReplyDeleteOh Harry you little sweetheart, that would be perfect for a halloween tablerunner, thank you for the chnace.
ReplyDeleteI like both holidays---anything with candy has got to be good!
ReplyDeleteHow cute! LOL!!! I think Halloween is my favorite holiday! It's just so much fun!!! Love your blog - your work is fantastic!! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Harry! Thanks for the giveaway. My son, now almost 22, used to dress up when we went to the mall. "Mama? Why are the people staring at me?" Maybe seeing a pirate or a power ranger in April was cause for a second look. The funny thing was he hated Halloween. He used to ask if we could buy our own candy and not beg from the neighbors! Wish me luck,
ReplyDeleteDeborah
I found this cool tutorial on how to "tie dye" easter eggs:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ourbestbites.com/2008/03/silk-dyed-eggs.html
oh and Halloween is my favorite holiday! thanks for the giveaway, If i win, this would be two weeks in a row!
I love easter because it is so springy and I can not wait for it to start being warm. :) I have no fantastic ideas....sorry. :)
ReplyDeleteHalloween and Easter - chocolate - yum!! Candy I can steal from the kids - Hooray!!
ReplyDeleteSue Cahill (sbonetsue at yahoo dot com)
Halloween and Easter the 2 best candy holidays around!
ReplyDeleteEaster treat. We don't give our GC candy except for jelly beans per their mother. So we write interesting ideas, treats and etc. and place them in the plastic eggs. They hunt for the egg s and might find money, breakfast w/Pappy, new toy from ToysRus and etc. They are always a hugh hit.
ReplyDeleteThanks Harry .... be on the lookout for those plastic eggs.
Wow! What a great give away. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
So crazy! I just bought a pattern for a Halloween/Fall quilt and this would be PERFECT to go with it! My Aunt always hosts a "Pumpkin Carving Party" for Halloween and the nieces and nephews have such a fun time carving their pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteI ordred from your store this week and came across your blog...will definitely bookmark you!
This past Halloween my mother tried to scare my nephew (who was 3 at the time). . instead he put his hands on his hips & said something akin to "Mom Mom Halloween is for KIDS."
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, she scared the daylights out of me!!! he he he
What fun!
Ohhhh I love Halloween. Another holiday to have lots of candy around. I can picture myself rapped up in a Halloween quilt eating candy. Thanks for the great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteoooh yummy yummy!! So cool! I love the jelly roll and the pattern is perfect!!! I guess now that I think about it, Halloween and Easter are both about candy! heehee from a kids point of view, of course. I love candy but also make cookies. Lollipop Sugar cookies are a great suggestion treat, I make them without the stick. and they can be decorated and cut out in shapes of you like. YUM!
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter and love the photos!
