Pirates?
I had to do something to get your attention.
Anything food related does not tend to be the most popular of posts on this blog.
Let alone FISH related.
I have no idea why.
I mean, we must have sustenance in between projects, yes?
Could it be the picture of raw fish at the top of this post?
This is a fun "project" that I found while visiting "Sam the Cooking Guy".

We just bought a cedar fencing post at the local home and garden store. :)
It was fun to try and I thought the cedar smell and smoke added a nice flavor??
Is cedar supposed to be a desired flavor?
Must be.
It was smoky good.
Who knew?
Sam the Cooking Guy, that's who!

I'll get back to sewing any minute.
But for now.....I'm into food.
Say hello to my waistline.

ReplyDeletePlanked salmon is deeelicious... yum. Thanks for the photos.
ReplyDeleteI ♥ cedar plank salmon!! I have a great recipe with sundried tomatoes, so yummy, and good for you too! One must have sustenance in order to have energy to use the brain for sewing!! P.S. I was wondering if you could tell me how you are able to create a downloadable pdf file, like with your recipes?? I have some ideas for posts on my blog but don't know how that whole printable pdf thing works :)
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful to me! Are you doing the potatoes on the grill?
ReplyDeleteDottie: Yes, we slice up the potatoes, toss them in olive oil and seasoning salt, then lay them all out on the grill. Put the lid down and wait. sorry, don't know how long, my hubby does that part. But they are yummy and delicious and one of our favorite ways to have "french fries".
ReplyDeleteThose fries look divine!
ReplyDeleteI think I may need some...now. I hope we have p-tates handy.
nummy nummy ;o) where's my netflix email? huh? huh?
ReplyDeleteOkay the raw fish picture...not so appetizing but the COOKED fish pictures are GOOD! Yummm! okay, go right now and ask your hubby about the time on the potatoes! I'll wait here. GO! Seriously you just used fence planks?? You aren't pulling my leg are you??
