Spur of the Moment

Friday night, I was sitting in the rain with my girls at the Shakespeare festival.
No umbrella, no hat. Just watching a play, getting really wet.

It's been raining for 2 weeks. Feeling a little stir-crazy.
~
So....I was talking to my friend during intermission and we decided to leave the next morning & go to the Farm Chicks Show in Spokane.

Why not?

We got there about 1pm. It was packed. PACKED. We were shuffling along, you couldn't get into any of the booths, just kind of trying not to hit people or knock anything over.

Patience.

Food -- that might help.

So to the food line, very very very long, but by the time we were done,

the rooms had cleared out a lot.

Much better.

It's an incredible event. The vendors create the most amazing booths and displays. Very inspiring and fun.

~

The sweetest ladies were at this booth.

One of them made the wedding dress bodice out of cupcake liners.

Big full skirts were everywhere and cowboy boots.

This was a popular topic of conversation.

"Did you see the skirt covering the lights?"

"Yes, yes, we did."

They had made a hanging lamp with twinkle lights that were in motion -- so it was quite a sight.

For you quilters...a grandmother's flower garden in aqua.

yum.

This rocker sooooo wanted to come home with me.

Even thought it might fit in my little car.

I would have spray painted it red.

We could have lived happily ever after.

There's nothing wrong w/ my current rocker,

so my attempt to rationalize any "need" for it wasn't working.

So much to look at. A fun lady in this booth took our picture.

Stacey (she's on the right) is such a great friend and a blast to travel with
(and she likes to drive, so it's quite a nice trip.)

Oh....I got lots of compliments on my Dick & Jane bag!
Yes, I've been hoarding them. I have two left, if you'd like one ($15), just email me. I'll even include the autographed copy of the current Country Living magazine that I got to the first bag buyer.
Des, I was thinking of you....
tilted the camera so the disco balls looked like

Mickey Mouse.

Great weekend & today the sun is shining!

  7. I am originally from Eastern Washington and all my family is still there. I am really missing all of it (the area and the family). Seeing your post about Spokane was a wonderful mood lifter. I can't wait until I can go to a Farm Chicks show.
