Update: Congrats to Nancy #115!!
Last year, it was
(which we adore, but we've added a new friend).
This year,
we're making
The pattern is from Marie Madeline Studio.
"This classy full apron is a must...not only feminine and flattering but also practical...our chic sisters apron features a lined bib, extra long ties, and a sweet flounced hem."
It's easy, easy.
The apron bib has darts
"to add shape".
The flounced ruffle is done without gathering.
Just gives a little softness --
a little poof without being poofy.
~
Our models are wearing
Tea Garden and Kumari Garden.
Yardage available.
The pattern has full size pattern pieces and multiple sizes --
small 2,4,6; medium 8,10,12; and large 14,16,18.
Pattern available on etsy.
Kits available upon request.

I love cooking as much as I love sewing.. I think they sorta go hand in hand... The apron is sooo cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing...
I cut a recipe for a pasta dish out of the paper yesterday and cooked it the SAME night!! Shocked myself! It was delicious and will definitely get made again.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I love to cook. I am so excited it is getting warmer so I can use the grill. My favorite from the grill is fajitas and we always have get togethers with our friends when we make them. So much fun.
ReplyDeleteYou have two lines of fabric that I have been drooling over! Cooking - eh, Baking - OH YEAH! I love, lov,e love to BAKE desserts and I'm always on the lookout for something new and scrumptious to try.
ReplyDeleteI eat therefore I cook! Glad I made a huge pot of chicken soup 2 days ago because my cold is surely thanking me now!
ReplyDeleteMy kids have moved out and I still am cooking for 5 not two!! I have freezers full of food and so this year - no cooking.
ReplyDeleteI recently cooked steak for the first time. I was scared it wouldn't turn out, but it was actually really good.
ReplyDeleteheidikittelson at gmail dot com
I like cocking when I have plenty of time. But if it comes to choosing between cocking and sewing then there is absolutely no doubt - SEWING.
ReplyDeleteI love to cook for people who enjoy it. Sewing will always come before house work!
ReplyDeleteMore than cooking I love to bake. Try ing out new recipies, cakes, muffins, pastries and and and! And my familiy is happy to try all those baked stuff! Great for me!Lol!The apron is so cute! Thanks for the give away!
ReplyDeleteI like baking better than regular old cooking. However, I have had the good fortune lately to acquire some nice cookware, which makes me enjoy cooking much more!
ReplyDeleteeemoody77 at gmail dot com
I love to cook - And I prefer if no body else is in the kitchen because I like it that way ;D
ReplyDeleteI wish I could cook like my mother and grandmother. I guess it comes with time!
ReplyDeleteKylie
I love cooking but with only one child left at home now I'm finding it hard to get use to cooking for three instead of six!!
ReplyDeleteLovely aprons!
ReplyDeleteabout cooking: the best compliment I ever received when one of the residents from the shelter where I work said to another worker: ""who's on today?" "Irina" "oh...! there's always something nice for dinner when she's on"
it was so lovely to hear that!
I love cooking because I love eating!!!
thanks for the chance!
I don't particularly enjoy cooking, but as we have to eat I do it. But what really bugs me is deciding what to cook. If I know what I am doing that's have the battle. Do I get help on this...nope.... Our conversations go like this "what do you want for dinner" "don't know".."give me a clue" "whatever you want to cook" "okay chicken", "oh no don't fancy chicken"..."okay fish"... "no don't fancy fish"..."URGH....well give me a dam clue then!!!" The aprons are lovely thanks for a chance to win.
ReplyDeleteLately, all I can get myself to cook is cookies, muffins, pancakes, scones, crepes, brownies... All other cooking (veggies, meats, soups, pastas...) is up to my husband. God bless him :-)
ReplyDeleteContact:librosfera(at)gmail(dot)com
I love to cook, but most of the time I get ousted from the kitchen as my husband loves to cook as well and he gets home before me!!! Guess who has to do the dishes!! The baking however is all mine! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteWhat an adorable apron that I'd love to make for my daughter!
ReplyDeleteCooking? Well, yesterday I made chicken and rice soup...and yummy...it was good! I boiled a fryer, picked pieces off the bones (I hate this part), then added broth, carrot, celery and onion to boil. I seasoned to taste and about 1/2 hour before serving, added in some brown rice. =)
Thanks for a chance to win!
Hmm, cooking! I like to do some experimental cooking with lovely ingredients occasionally. I hate to have to cook dinner every night! I try to cook nutritious, delicious food that the little one will eat too - FAIL!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for another scrummy giveaway :)
Cooking was fun when I first moved out, now 13 years later I am not loving cooking as much as baking, and I can not believe I still have to cook for how many more years? 50? ARGHH
ReplyDeletePS Those aprons are gorgeous in that fabric!
I hate cooking. Nuff said.
ReplyDeleteI haven't cooked all week. I need to cook some lunches and package them!
ReplyDeleteCooking aint what it use to be. I miss cooking for a family and need to retrain myself that meals can be made smaller otherwise we eat leftovers for days.
ReplyDeleteOne of my daughters is back from college and she loves to bake and must wear an apron when she does. Very cute apron. I keep putting recipes into a file to try. Have tried a few but most of the time, it's a rush to make dinner for everyone before the evening activities.
ReplyDeleteCooking-some days I love it and other I dispise the thought of having to do it. I just don't like it when my hubby, child, and two dogs are in my way in the kitchen! But I do love the apron and the awesome fabric! Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love your aprons. I am not much of a cook. I jokingly tell everyone " I have a kitchen because it came with my house", but I am not really joking.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
i love cook and baking! i've been taking pastry chef lessons at a local chef school. and this past weekend i made, successfully, lasagna for the first time! now my fiance is hooked and demands it everyday...
ReplyDeleteCooking is my second favorite thing to do...next to quilting. I cook most my meals from scratch, I love making recipes and finding a 'favorite' for my family (there's 5 of us). Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteCooking is one of those necessities of life. We live. So we eat.
ReplyDeleteWould like to look stylish while doing it! HA!
I was thinking of making up some Mushroom Bread today from The Bread Bible. An apron is always helpful to keep the flour off! Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI love to cook, my hubby loves (and expects ha ha!) homecooking so most of my meals are homemade from scratch :)
ReplyDeleteCute apron patterns! thanks for the chance!
Cooking huh... well for all the cooking gadgets I have you would think I love to cook. I do like to bake but the problem with that is I eat it. Thank goodness sewing/quilting isn't fattening.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time, I cook because we have to eat. There are better things I could be doing with my time (like sewing)Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy baking but I don't enjoy making meals as much. I find it a chore sometimes.
ReplyDeleteKaren

Cooking is not my favorite thing, but it does have to get done.My hubby is actually a better cook than I am, probably because he finds it relaxing. Where I find it one more thing to be done. After all there is plenty of hungry people around here.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I did try recently that was a big hit was, sasauge tortorni soup. I found it on the best bites blog. It's worth checking out.
Cooking, is that where you put pots/pans together and put food in them and cook on high heat? Thats what I do? I've never been a kitchen lover! Thank goodness my DH loves to cook and my DD loves to bake!
ReplyDeleteThat way, Momma can spend more time in the sewing room!
Cooking is so much fun, well maybe it is baking that I like a little bit more than cooking. I have been busy this week. New York style cheesecake, homemade pizza, lemon meringue pie, pulled pork sandwhiches, red velvet cake and corn bread with red peppers for a few.
ReplyDeleteI like cooking but I love quilting so much better. All your hard work doesn't get destroyed in a matter of minutes. :)
ReplyDeleteso i check Mad Hungry out of the library cause I hear its the best cookbook around...make two new recipes last night...soup for me and beef empanadas for hubby and i dont know which one was worse. and the kids of course ate cereal...
ReplyDeleteCooking.
ReplyDeleteCooking is my passion, sewing is my hobby!
ReplyDeleteI love to cook, especially trying new recipes. I especially enjoy baking and allrecipes.com is one of my favorite internet sites for new recipes. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI've been accused of being obsessed with cooking because of all the time I spend looking at recipes and talking about food. Yesterday, I made some awesome chili- my own recipe that I've been perfecting for about a year now. Now, if only some gnomes would come clean the dishes for me...
ReplyDeleteCooling? Love it? Hate it? Some days I want to be Julia Childs...other days, not so much! LOL I managed restaurants in high school and college and cooked a lot then...I don't enjoy it now because of that I think. Plus, when my kids were little, bland was in! All the recipes I tried, all the spices I threw away from sitting in a cupboard too long....too hot, too spicy, too something all the time for little taste buds.
ReplyDeletePBJ's rock!
I just burnt my finger 2 minutes ago on the oven. I shouldn't cook when I am pregnant, I only have half of my brain to use :)
ReplyDeleteOver the years I definitely have some family favourites. Tonight I'm making Greek Ribs because our boys are home for a few days and its their favorite. And those aprons are adorable!
ReplyDeleteIn one of my past lives, I loved to find new recipes and make them for my friends and neighbors. In this life as a wife, mother and full-time teacher, I don't have time to think let alone find new recipes! Fortunately, my husband and son have a few favorites that I repeat often. I love your aprons--I wear one every day at school--handy to hold supplies, keys, ID badge, etc. A new pattern and fabric might get us through the rest of this dull, depressing winter--thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind cooking when I can go buy all the ingredients for a meal, but I hate the kind of cooking where you go, "Okay, I have hamburger and cornmeal. What can I make out of that?" Truthfully, I know it's unhealthy for my kids to eat the school lunches, but the idea of making 7 lunches every day just makes me crazy. I'd DEFINITELY rather quilt than cook. Personal chef, please. I'd like it to be Curtis Stone.
ReplyDeleteI like cooking but I have a spouse who doesn't care what he eats and prefers leftovers (no cooking mess). When I'm in the groove with a project, it makes dinner easy, but most of the time it takes away from the fun of cooking.
ReplyDeleteThe older I get, the more I enjoy cooking. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteLove to bake - cooking not so much. Cook the same old same olds for a fussy DH who won't eat beef or pork and expects miracles out of ground turkey. Love the aprons and thanks for a chance.
ReplyDeleteI used to love cooking but picky eaters has changed that. either I cook stuff they like or I get attitudes at dinner...can't wait till they leave the nests on those days..
ReplyDeleteI love to cook and bake, and can and just create things in my kitchen-always have, I was brought up as a little girl cooking and baking everything from scratch-retired now-I still love it as much as sewing
ReplyDeleteCooking is not one of my favorite things to do. My thought is if it has more than 20 minutes prep time it doesn't need to be made (at least not by me).
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has recently gotten into cooking and a new apron would inspire her even more.
ReplyDeleteNeed to get to the store for tomorrow's supper ingredients before the storm comes!
ReplyDeleteI am making my husbands favorite cheeseburger soup & fresh yeast rolls for dinner tonight!
ReplyDeleteI cook when I have to! lol I'd rather be sewing. :) Maybe if I had a cute little apron to wear I'd be more inspired.
ReplyDeleteKim

Everyone prefers that I wash the dishes and my mother cooks. So, an apron is good because I'm a water splasher washer. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI don't cook as much as I should. But I do sew a lot and would love to win an apron pattern!
ReplyDeleteChristine
ChristineCapps09@yahoo.com
I love cooking with my deep fryer! It's terrible of me, but I love making scones and french fries. I could sure use a nice apron to protect me from all the grease splatters!
ReplyDeletei have not been cooking as much lately, because whenever i do, my youngest likes to hang out around my ankles, and that becomes quite the olympic event! but when i'm trying to not kill my youngest my dropping knives or spilling boiling water on her, i actually really enjoy cooking! here's hoping this phase is over soon!!
ReplyDeletethat is the cutest apron! I'm finally, really learning how to cook and have realized that aprons actually do have a purpose (I end up wiping flour on my pants all the time w/o realizing I'm doing it!)
ReplyDeleteI'm not a good cook yet, but my fiance and I are getting ready to live together so we are working at it! I'll start with vegetables ;) thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of the darts in the apron. Your models are darling and seemed to be enjoying their job.
ReplyDeleteI have always enjoyed cooking and have encouraged my kids to participate. They all cook now and two of them own restaurants.
OK, chickie, I LOVE sewing, but is it just me? I HATE cooking!!! My mom's motto in the kitchen is "I boil a mean pot of water". She's not a very good cook. And I would rather clean toilets than cook. Is that weird? My husband cooks most of the time (hot dogs, pizza, chicken nuggets), but if I cook it's stuff that's yummy and healthy, then nobody will eat it but me. Bummer. All that work for nothing - then I have to clean up! :)Caren
ReplyDeleteI took a day of vacation yesterday and did NOT have to cook all day. A friend and I went to lunch at Uncle Ernie's (Panama City, FL) and ate the most amazing crab cakes! I'm still stuffed! And, that is my cooking story ofthe week! Happy quilting!
ReplyDeleteI like cooking if I'm in the mood....but that mood doesn't happen often. i enjoy cooking on holidays
ReplyDeleteI don't necessarily love to cook, but I LOVE to eat...so I do it. :) But if I was ever to win the lottery a personal chef would be high on my list of frivolous purchases. That and a housekeeper. Can you imagine how much sewing I'd get done?!!!
ReplyDeleteI love cooking...like so many others, it`s how I can express love to my family and friends - every day.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the generous giveaway!
Cooking is awesome- especially with the littles- that makes it WAY more fun!!
ReplyDeletecandy at fiber dot net
I used to be a whiz in the kitchen...now I hardly know where things are! That happens when there are 3 cooks in the kitchen!
ReplyDeleteCooking....these days I seem to be using the crockpot a lot. There are only 3 of us now but I use a 6qt pot so I have leftovers for several days. Then it's everyone fending for themselves!
ReplyDeleteI just made a chocolate chip cookie pie. I would love to make a hugh salad for supper. Maybe I can get to the store.
ReplyDeleteI love to cook! I can spend hours on foodnetwork.com just looking at recipes. Sadly, with two small children, I don't always have enough time to try out the recipes I find!
ReplyDeleteI hate doing dishes, though...That's hubby's part of the bargain. :)
Cooking is usually a pleasure but at times I wish mealtime wouldn't roll around quite so quickly. Have your ever figured out how much of the day is spent in meal preparation and cleanup? It's staggering and really cuts into my sewing time!
ReplyDeleteCooking is a pleasure for me about half the time. The other half of the time it is a chore. Right now I am enjoying making soups and comfort food while the weather is what we call cold. Probably not that cold for people in say, Idaho. But cold for us in the desert.
ReplyDeletekeels@mvdsl.com
I love cooking with friends. This Christmas, we made up 5 batches of cookies, and it's a perfect excuse to actually wear my apron!
ReplyDeletereally don't like to cook. lindagerig
ReplyDeleteI used to like cooking but now? pffttt ! So tired of it. And I used to really cook, everything from scratch, used to can my own veggies, too. Now that I have reached a "certain age" in my life, I wanna retire!
ReplyDeleteI love cooking and with my growing family I have lot's of opportunity (every night.)
ReplyDeleteA fun cooking blog is
http://stolenmomentscooking.com/
I would much rather be sewing than cooking but maybe if I had a cute apron, I would find more joy in cooking.
ReplyDeletetoday I am cooking (well baking) a chocolate peanut butter cup birthday cake for my ten year old!
ReplyDeleteMy cooking has suffered since I've became obsessed with quilting/sewing! I try to cook at least every other day though because I'd like to keep the other half around!
ReplyDeleteI feel like all I've done for the past few days is cook and I'm done for a bit. Good thing there are leftovers so my son doesn't starve :-)
ReplyDeleteI love cooking....my favorite cooking blog is www.ourbestbites.com! If you haven't you should check it out.
ReplyDeleteI love cooking, especially in my apron. Tomorrow I'm making enchiladas.
ReplyDeleteWe are moving, and I am really excited to cook in my new kitchen . . . with actual cabinets and counters. Whoo hoo!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy cooking but am frustrated with the time issue. My time issue is it take 45 to 60 minutes to prepare a meal and about 10 minutes to eat it. LOL! I have gotten good at making "broke food". Thank you for the give away!
ReplyDeleteThe trifecta of my life: knitting, sewing, cooking!
ReplyDeleteOf course, it's easy in winter when soups and stews are always perfect.
I like to cook. I am not the best cook, but I do enjoy cooking. And my hubby likes to cook, but he is a GREAT cook! So we manage to pull off some pretty good meals. However, I would use the apron :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE TO COOK!
ReplyDeleteLATELY WE HAVE BEEN ENJOYING HOMEMADE SOUPS-ONE BEEF ROAST ROASTED+DIVIDED INTO SMALLER PORTIONS+FROZEN UNTIL LATER, CAN MAKE WONDERFUL SOUPS FOR WEEKS! MY FAVORITE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEEF,CELERY,CARROTS,CABBAGE,POTATOES SIMMERED!
THANKS FOR SHARING!
jldouglas@wispwest.net
I enjoy cooking and experimenting new recipes. My family enjoys my efforts too! Thanks for this awesome giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to think of as many ways to use a rotisserie chicken as possible . . . yummy. Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteI love to cook! Unfortunately I was blessed with picky eaters so I don't get to be as adventurous as I would like. My second recently surprised me saying he wanted to try lamb though.
ReplyDeleteI love cooking! I just wish I was better at it haha. I'm more of a baker, making cookies are my specialty.
ReplyDeleteI love cooking but I don't love baking. Because baking means goodies and goodies means I eat them and you know what that means.
ReplyDeleteI aspire to be as fearless a cook as Julia Child. My favorite quote of hers: "The best way to execute French cooking is to get good and loaded and whack the hell out of a chicken."
ReplyDeleteI've been making Hot Chocolate Truffle Balls. They are so good! How was quilt group? See you later!
ReplyDeleteI hate cooking. Used to love it, but now it is just a waste of time. I'd rather sew.
ReplyDeleteCooking is not my favorite past time, but since I love to eat... and so does my family... I put it kinda high on the to do list:-) Just found your blog today through Stash Manicure!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I still haven't made myself an apron! I better get to it!
ReplyDeleteI love cooking... and baking... and eating...
I wish I could stay home all day and plan some good home-cooked meals for my hubby instead of going to work every day. But then I'd go overboard, and we'd probably end up very fat. lol
I'm not as much interested in cooking as I used to be. I've better things to do, like making quilts, knitting, x-stitching, etc. However, I subscribe to a blog called Kalyns Kitchen and her recipes (based on the South Beach diet) are great. Easy to prepare with lots of photos and good instructions. The recipes that I have made have all turned out wonderfully.
ReplyDeleteI like to eat healthy, my husband detests vegetables; therefore my cooking involves lots of easy meals . . . but I get more time in the sewing room because of it . . .
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable apron pattern! Love the skirt and I really like the idea of the darts too:) I love cooking, especially baking, but I really love the idea of just puttering in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI am HORRIBLE at cooking! I hate coming up with what we are going to eat, and then taking the time to stand in the kitchen...I have issues :) But dang I think a super cute apron would make me happier!
ReplyDeleteI love cooking, and my daughter (2.5 yo) loves "helping" me on her step-ladder, I let her mix and wash and more, but most of all she loves tasting :-)
ReplyDeleteMy DH doesn't like to follow recipes, but he loves to make homemade soup, chili, spagetti sauce and such where he can wing it. I love the extra sewing time this gives me!
ReplyDeleteCan I say I hate cooking too, LOL! Fabric and making aprons are the most fun I have. I do bake though. Chocolate chip cookies are my favorite to make.

I haven't had to do much cooking lately since I just had a beautiful baby girl! We have been spoiled with meals from others!
ReplyDeleteI just went to the butcher today and got some fresh chicken breast, I'm making rosemary chicken with potatoes and green beans. Yum!
ReplyDeleteI am keeping my fingers crossed to win...(just like I do every Thursday..)cause I could really use some fancy yellow to make a baby quilt...
ReplyDeleteI love cooking, and yesterday I made some of my favorite potato salad! Always a hit!
ReplyDeleteVery cute aprons!
-Many Smiles!

I don't actually own an apron - just realised this! However, I'm right in the middle of planning a small dinner this saturday with 4 of our closest friends. Caramalised red onion and goats cheese tartlets anyone?
ReplyDeleteI love to cook and bake but hate deciding what we are having!!
ReplyDeleteComment on cooking? I'm lucky - my husband does all of it!!!
ReplyDeletethanks for the giveaway. i enjoy your blog.
I'm more of a boiler than a cook, but I do wish I had more culinary skill.
ReplyDeleteIt's not that I can't or never do but I just prefer not to cook. My husband loves to cook and try new recipes. It works out great for us. I have recently tried several new recipes found on blogs!
ReplyDeleteCooking?! What am I going to make for dinner tonight?! Yikes! Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog.
I love to cook... I could do it all day if I had time lol
ReplyDeletecaitlindevlin(at)hotmail(dot)com
I would look sooo cute in this while watching John cook!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteI love to cook but I have been such a slacker lately and we kind of snack more than eat a meal. I think having 3 kids has something to do with it...you've inspired me. Today I WILL cook dinner!
ReplyDeleteThis week I have been cooking up a lot of new recipes. I've found some very delicious ones, including dinner last night. (Chicken and Mango Tango from Crazy Plates).
ReplyDeleteBeautiful aprons, I like the cut and the fabrics, and the models are pretty too!
ReplyDeleteCooking- something I used to do. I also used to bake a lot but some people in my house don't have much willpower so I have had to cut back. Love the apron! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeleteHow can you not want to cook, with such a hot apron like that?
ReplyDeletegiggilens
I love cooking one pot meals where you have to cut up a lot of stuff and throw it all together. And my favorite way to use the crock pot is to heat the Christmas Eve ham!
ReplyDeleteCooking in those cute aprons would certainly make it more fun!
ReplyDeleteI cook because I have to, but I sew & quilt because I love to. Also love making aprons to give away because I love others cooking.
ReplyDeleteI love BAKING. It relaxes me almost as much as sewing... =)
ReplyDeleteI love cooking, in fact it is 11pm and i just finished making new england clam chowder to send with a friend who is moving. Of course I made a huge pot so we will have some tomorrow. Those aprons a cute cute! I am right now making one that I am winging it, I would love to use a pattern for my next.
ReplyDelete
