SEW Many Projects.....

........SEW much time!!
Didn't think I was going to say that, did you??

I've got 4 projects I hope to complete at my retreat.
See that empty chair on the right?
That's where I'll be living.

I tend to do more talking than sewing.
More eating than cutting.

More laughing than pressing.

More lounging than creating.

I will.............

Project #1 ~ This quickie is for my dad for Christmas!

Project #2 ~ Can't forget my promise of 30 of these!

Project #3~ New Design in the making.

Project #4 ~ Quilts for Hair Cuts

I am Quilter....hear me roar!
Wish me luck! I'll need it.

  1. Ok Des, get to work. I'm looking at my watch and tapping my foot! Can't wait to see it all. Now you promised.

  2. Looks like a FUN party. OK, now that I have seen how wacky all of you can be, I feel brave enough to go off on a wacky little tangent...

A while back I saw the movie Marie Antoinette. One of my favorite scenes from the movie is when they have the song “I want candy” by Bow Wow Wow playing and you see all these luscious gowns, shoes, deserts – all of the frivolities of Marie Antoinette’s life. Sometime after finding your blog I mentally connected the whole Taffy thing you have going on with the “Candy” from the song. Now when ever I hear it playing (which is often because it is on my play list) I visualize quilting gals dancing around with and singing to bolts of fabric. I know the “candy” they’re singing about is something all together different, but seriously I picture fabric. In my own mind, it is the official Quilt Taffy theme song. Just thought you might get a kick out of it too. :)

I just had an epiphany - If you all are willing to spell B.I.L.L. with your bodies on the floor, you should make a video of that song with all of you dancing around with your finished projects. It would be the image I have in my head come to life! Anyone pack a video camera? It wouldn’t exactly help you get all of those projects done, but it would be fun :)

    I know...I’m crazy.

  3. Uh...home sweet hideaway....I think we neglected to get your invite in the mail. You would TOTALLY fit with this crowd. Hmmm....I'm not much of a choreographer but I'll see what I can come up with. Now, I need to see Marie Antoinette so I can visualize as well. THANKS!!

  10. I'm sure you both are having a fantastic time and from the looks of last years festivities stay away from the sugar! Or maybe you should load up then you can sew more... that's my philosophy. Have fun!
