I am still laughing!! I am not ready for yardage yet - as i am just getting into applique world, here is my favorite line though:
ReplyDelete'I told him it was unwise to make me choose between him and my fabrics... I will miss him though'
This is my second time in your blog world!!
This fabric is precious!!1 I love the quote that says a clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine. That can be so true! I would love to win a piece of this fabric!
ReplyDeleteThat is so generous of you.
ReplyDeleteevil to make us choose but I would change one to fit me: "If my sewing machine is broken, you will see several academic journals been printed" *(somebody who is in the academic line).
LOL...what a cute post! Just feels great to laugh sometimes right?! hmmm my fav quote would have to be "i got a sewing machine for my husband! Good trade, huh?"
ReplyDeleteCrack me up!
"a clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine" TRUE DAT! :D Fun stuff!
ReplyDelete"I told him it was unwise to make me choose between him and the fabrics. I miss him, though." Love that quote!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful fabric! I love it!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote: "If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun!" That's absolutely right! ^^
Thanks a lot.

"A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine" - what a horrible thought! That must be why I have a spare sewing machine?
ReplyDeleteKathy
Happiness is relaxing after a good shop hop! Can I hear a "Oh Yeah!". Thanks for the chance!

A clean house is a sign of a broken sewing machine. So true!
ReplyDeleteOf course the "choose between him and my fabrics" ran a close second
Unfortunately, I am not a gnome, but I got a kick out of that fabric! Yes, I did send my son off to college to store my fabs in his room! Great exchange, although at the time I missed him terribly!
ReplyDeleteHilarious. What fantastic fabric. I think I'd have to make a cover for my precious baby out of it, as I am unfortunately not a gnome ;)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite quote has to be 'I told him it was unwise to make me choose between him and my fabrics...I will miss him though'. Yesterday my husband suggested I spent less time sewing and more time earning money. You can imagine the colour the air turned after he had said that (I managed to turn it round to it being totally his fault that I am a stay at home mum, and that I sacrificed a career for him and our precious babies. Sneaky, huh?)
Word veri today is 'cluth'. I guess that is how Inspector Clouseau would say cloth. Go on, say it 'cluth'.
Oh. I just need to make me a quilt with this fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI laugh most about "Choosing between him and my fabrics... Fabrics win. ;-)
Hugs
OMG! Des, you still crack me up! My favorite is definitely 'I told him it was unwise to make me choose between him and my fabrics... I will miss him though'. I am SO lucky that my husband doesn't mind me taking up a whole room for sewing stuff. I'd really hate to have to fight him on that one!
ReplyDeletei like them all, do i have to chose just one???
ReplyDeleteThis is great fabric. How wonderful. I really like "a clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine". How true....walking through the pet hair tumbleweeds to the sewing machine now. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway.
"If you can't say something nice, come sit over here by me." Love that.
ReplyDeleteJane
I LOVE this fabric! My favorite quote, and closest to hit home is "a clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine". I would much rather be sewing and the dust bunnies know it. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteSusan
sgalasso@triad.rr.com
Such cute fabric! It's hard to choose a fav quote. I have been caught sewing instead of making dinner...a few times, so 'When I learned to sew, I forgot how to cook' is a true statement.
ReplyDeletesla322 at gmail dot com
My favorite is "I sent my son to college so that I could use his room to store fabric...expensive storage." I think it captures the puzzlement of the male members of the family to my fabric obsession! Thanks for the great opportunity to try these fabrics! Love the graphics on your blog!
ReplyDeleteSusan V.
"Will the glamour never end?!"
ReplyDeleteOh this fabric is divinely saucy!
I do love the quote about sending the kid to college for the fabric storage space! Too funny!
Reminds me of a friend in Uni that came home to a sewing room instead of a bedroom!
this is a great giveaway--thanks for the chance to win!
*crossing my fingers*
My husband would agree with me that the correct quote for our home is "When I learned to sew, I forgot how to cook". Love the fabric, not sure whether it was on your blog or not that I read the quote "fabric is like crack" but it is so true.
ReplyDelete'I told him it was unwise to make me choose between him and my fabrics... I will miss him though'
ReplyDeleteThey are all so funny!
These are hilarious! I love it!!! All of these quotes are great, but the one "a clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine" probably fits me best :-)(plus I have a cople of spare machines). And the one about sending the son to college..wooo-hoo made me laugh (plus I already store fabric in his closet).
ReplyDelete"Dating? I'd rather be sewing!"
ReplyDeletePerhaps this is the reason I am still single... hmmm?
Love love love the fabric -- and the blog too ladies!

ReplyDeleteI think my favorite is "A Clean House is a Sign of a Broken Sewing Machine". Although all of them are pretty funny!
ReplyDeletetaiyalcargo AT hotmail DOT com
"A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine." I love it! So true. I have twin toddlers and often people will see my completed sewing projects and their first question is always "How do you find the time?" My response is truthful, "My house is a mess."
ReplyDeleteThat fabric is hilarious and so true! My favorite quote is "a clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine"
ReplyDeletehmmm....I like "if you can't say something nice, come sit next to me" haha funny!
ReplyDeletecliffandrobinand2monsters at yahoo dot com
A clean house is a sign of a broken sewing machine.... love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm not quite gnome size, but in a few years maybe...I'm only 4'11. How tall is a gnome?
ReplyDelete"A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine" So true!
I have not seen that fabric yet. Really cute.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote is, Happiness is relaxing after a good shop hop.
I love the quote of a clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine, too cool.
ReplyDeleteToo funny! I didn't see this one on the fabric, but it's one of my favorites...a messy house is the sign of a happy quilter!
ReplyDeleteI like the "I sent my son to college..." one. Because I sorta did that too.
ReplyDeleteI like the one about sending my son to college so I could use his room. Ouch! I moved all my sewing stuff back to my bedroom this spring because my daughter decided to move home ---for two months! I am still in the process of moving back to her room!
ReplyDeletelynnjones13@mac.com
I LOVE this! It would be enough fabric to make sleep shorts though ;)
ReplyDeleteMy husband would love nothing more than for me to clean instead of sew, but then again I would love nothing more for him to clean rather do whatever it is that he does!
What a hoot, Any of those sayings could become my mantra but I really like "I got a sewing machine for my husband, good trade, huh?"
ReplyDeleteHe's a great guy but sometimes jealous of my sewing time.
Sue Cahill (sbonetsue at yahoo dot com)
I knew I loved you, I feel sooo much better now. thank you for giving me permission to sew.(like I would clean any way) Darling fabric super fun post, I love this line "I told him it was unwise to make me choose between him and my fabrics. I will miss him though"
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance and a smile for my day!
This fabric is great! and your post really shows it off. I like the one that says "When I learned to sew I forgot how to cook" I was wondering why I can't cook worth beans.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Oh, my favourite is "A clean house is a sign of a broken Sewing Machine" - hands down. So true in my house...
ReplyDeleteLove the "A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine"!
ReplyDeleteVery funny fabric and so true!!
This designer hit the nail on the head!! My fav quote would be...
ReplyDelete"Will the glamour never end?"
I'm going to be chuckling all day,

"A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine." True, true. My apartment gets turned upside down whenever I sew because everything else gets neglected!
ReplyDeletejanellepevans(@)gmail(dot)com
Seriously! I'm ROTFLMBO! i love the sending son to college to have his room quote! too funny and totally hits home, except I hoped he'd get married! LOL. And even tho I'd really love to win this give away. I secretly hope if there's a gnome amongst us, they win!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is "When I learned to sew, I forgot how to cook." Boy did I forget how. Everyone is complaining that I never cook anymore. I swear that I do. I don't know what they are thinking!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh you are so funny!! I laugh out loud at your posts!!
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great ones to choose from but I think the one that made me laugh out loud the most was the one about sending her son to college so she could use his room, expensive storage. Funny because my son's closet is mostly my sewing storage. I don't know what I am going to do when he gets old enough to want that space for himself!
I love them all! But the one about choosing between my husband & the fabric made me LoL along with the expensive storage/son to college trade!!Reach me at jllbarron@yahoo.com
ReplyDelete"A clean house is a sign of a broken sewing machine." :D :D Hilarious and very very true!!! I love it!
ReplyDelete"If you obey the rules, you miss all of the fun!"

ReplyDeleteI love "I sent my son to college" too cute....have a sunny day!
ReplyDelete"A clean house is a sign of a broken sewing machine" - so true!
ReplyDelete"If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun." I love changing things up and finding new ways to make things rather than following steps. Sometimes this process is incredibly fun with great results and sometimes it's incredibly frustrating. Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteLOL! I love "A clean house is a sign of a broken sewing machine"! How perfect!
ReplyDeleteThat is FABULOUS!!! Now, if I could just convince my hubby that it is true! Besides, Cafe Rio tastes better than my cooking anyway-- so why bother? And I give the kids a bath AT LEAST once a week. . . ;0) Just kidding. Thanks for the fun giveaway! I am loving the college for storage comment.
ReplyDeleteHow funny! I love this fabric.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote is definitely: "A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine."

I like "A clean house is a sign of a broken sewing machine". Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteOh my GOSH This fabric is just adorable!! I love it so much!
ReplyDeleteThe best line and one that I need to have painted big in my entryway is "A clean house is a sign of a broken machine."
Why didn't I think of that?
How fun!
I like your mantra at the top - so very TRUE! This fabric is a crack up. My favorite line is the one about choosing between the husband and the fabric and how she'll miss him.
ReplyDeleteDoes it have to be a quote from your fabric because I like your quote the best (no not sucking up....just love it). I tell people when they see my sewing room that it is creativity in the process.
ReplyDelete"A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine." This is such cute fabric. Thanks!
ReplyDeletespondah(at)aol(dot)com
"Will the glamour never end?" That's my life (yeah, right).
ReplyDeleteBahaha! This fabric is the best, and I may have to buy some if I don't win!! My favorite quote is a toss up between "A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine" and "He made me choose between him and my fabrics, I am going to miss him though" Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog on Google reader, but I have never commented before.
ReplyDeleteWonderful fabric! My favorite quote: "I sent my son to college so I could store my fabric in his room, expensive storage." My son has taken over the upstairs since his older sister moved out so I have to sew in the living room. I like the one about embracing the cobwebs, too, because there are an awful lot to embrace around here.
Who knew that someone would actually come up with fabric this funny! My favorite quote is "A clean house is a sure sign of a broken sewing machine."
ReplyDeleteWhat adorable fabric! My favorite quote is "If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun!" - that is absolutely SO ME.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the chance to win - you can contact me thru my blog http://tobelinasworld.blogspot.com/ - I don't post email addresses publicly. :)
I sent my son to college so I could keep fabric in his room expensive storage1
ReplyDeleteI love every line on that fabric. A clean house is the sign of a broken sewing machine is my favourite
ReplyDeleteI'm claiming "a clean house is a sign of a broken sewing machine." Since I have two machines plus two treadles and a serger, I may never have to clean house again!!!
ReplyDeleteAll of these saying are great and so much fun. I especially love "If you obey all the rules you miss all the fun". I also especially like "Will the glamour never end". I hope the creativity never ends. Thanks for sharing. I hope this qualifies for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteOh definitely the son going to college so I could have his room for storage...expensive storage...except my son moved back home!
ReplyDeletehehe!
ReplyDeleteclean house = broken sewing machine - love that one. :-)
The quote about using the child's room for storage rings so true for me, only it was my daughter's roomS (plural) that I invaded. First my older daughter went to college in 2002 and I kicked her down into the basement and overtook her bedroom and made it my sewing room. Then my younger daughter moved into an apartment to be closer to college and I cleaned out her room and expanded my sewing studio into 2 rooms! I'm such a pig!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and your shop
Thanks!
Jenn
Great fabric - favorite quote: If you follow all the rules you miss all the fun!!!!

ReplyDeleteHaving just sent my 13-year-old daughter to boarding school for the first time, I love the line about sending your son to college...
ReplyDeleteHave just looked in DD's room and found heaps of places to store my stash. Thanks for the great idea! Love it!!
When I learned to sew I forgot how to cook. Well I never did learn how to cook and have been sewing since high school. This fabric is great.
ReplyDeletelsandes@comcast.net
Sending the son to college to keep fabric in his room- too funny!
ReplyDeleteThat is some seriously cute fabric. Pick me, pick me!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this the most fantistic fabric line!!! I love it,"Happiness is Relaxing after the Shop Hop". Thats me, although I rarely ever really get a chance to relax.
ReplyDeleteFunny, funny! I like "I sent my son to college so I could keep my fabric in his room - expensive storage." Last summer, I sent my daughter to sleep-away camp so I could sort my fabric stash on her bed.
ReplyDeleteWhen I learned to sew, I forgot how to cook. I think I need this posted in my kitchen!
ReplyDeleteI thought for sure this was your personal line of fabric. It is you all over it! I love the "TOld him it was unwise to choose..." line. This would be a fun piece to have.
ReplyDelete
